The case was extremely waterproof and tested well, but within a month the charger cover broke off completely. Not very life proof! Returned the case for a refund.

That's what's great about Best Buy! They are quick & easy on returns. Of course my sale was in their records. This is a service used for BB card holders.

Of course, a slight degradation of sound can be expected when a speaker is covered in a case, but this impact should be minimal. Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker and microphone membranes on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first.
