I started buying LifX bulbs to replace my 87 Hue bulbs. There is a limit on the number of Hue bulbs (2 bridges & 50 bulbs per bridge = 100) in a full house system. There is also some noticeable response lag starting around 40 bulbs on a buidge. There is no limit on the number of WiFi LifX bulbs.
1). These bulbs work directly with Siri, Alexia, Google, & SmartThings.
2) I really like the “night vision” lighting which allows my cams better recordings in dark rooms.
Ding) My one complaint is not with LifX but with BestBuy…. I ordered NEW bulbs and received OPENED items. The bulbs initially did not work, But before returning and waiting, I reset the bulbs and they work perfectly.
I would suggest to anyone lighting a whole home (indoor & outdoor) to have an mix of LifX and Hue because both bulbs have different / unique features

Best smart lightbulbs ever. Soon as I saw 50% off, I immediately jumped on it. Never seen discount on this particular model of Lifx previously. Absolutely recommended!

I love these lights. My only complaint is that if you have them outside in the ground and they sit in snow , you will eventually get condensation inside. I have them in and out of the house.

I bought three bulbs for the outside of my house. The first light I bought and installed was the porch light. I liked it so much that I bought two additional lights to install on either side of the garage door. The porch light was fairly easy to set up. When I tried installing the two garage door lights, only one light would connect. If I managed to connect the second light, it disconnected the porch light. I'm not sure if this is somehow related to our internet connection and speed. In either case, if after speaking with LIFX the issue is not resolved, I will be returning all three lights. I imagine that if it works as intended, it would be awesome because you can remotely turn on and off the lights and change the color of the lights all from your phone. I just haven't been able to achieve this. I put that I would not recommend to a friend because of the difficulty with connecting the lights to your network.

Love my LIFX lights. This BR30 is good for downlights (can lights), I have used outdoor lighting and been happy with them. PIcked up three more for Lower Level Kitchenette and Desk. Works well with Siri voice commands and Apple Home app. I have ethernet backhaul internet access points and have had no issues with LIFX, they are solid. Bright and nice color array and the app is good too.

The LIFX bulbs are fantastic as they are bright and offer great color and white temperature adjustments. The iPhone app is very easy to use. I have a Harmony Elite remote that recognizes them too. I have had an occasional new bulb simply not want to connect and have had to exchange it for another. However, most do connect and do so fast and easily done.

The only thing i didn't like was the set up it took way to long, granted this was the first lifx bulb I purchased and i am comparing the setup to the Hue system. Outside of the set up the brightness and color range range of this bulb blows hue 9ut of the water.

These bulbs are perfect for enhancing your cameras night vision. After dark they are totally invisible to the naked eye, but really light up the area. Excellent for just about every application for this universal light bulb. Expensive but worth the extra money to boost your cameras night vision.

I love that I do not need a hub to setup Lifx bulbs. When I bought my first Lifx products the mobile apps were bit buggy and slow. Since then they've improved the app and it works on both iOS and Android. I did noticed recently that the app lost connections to all of my bulbs. This may be due to my router placement or a buggy patch. However, once I flip the switch off and on the app quickly finds the bulbs again. My favorite features are setting my different types of colors and moods, but also setting it to turn on and off at different hours. I highly recommend.

These lights are a great starter light. You don't need a router. The router is built into the lights so you can buy one just to try. I have my living covered in the lights. They are good for entertaining or relaxing by yourself. Set up is simple.

I bought this lightbulb for my sons nursery, because of the IR feature. It makes the night vision on the nanny cam we have very clear and easy to spot even when he has spit up just a little bit after his feedings late at night or middle of night.
Very easy to set up, works with Apple HomeKit, but you need to use the LIFX app to setup the bulb and update the firmware.
Also it is very large, and won’t fit in all ceiling mounted fixtures.

This light is one of the most luminous smart light that I have in my house. The vibrance in its colors is unparalleled. I also prefer the LIFX products over HUE due to the streamline set up and use which doesn’t require a separate hub. With LIFX just download the app and set up the light and you can control the light whether you’re home or from another state. Awesome product and well worth the price!

I was starting to build my smart home and tested this light along with the Phillips hue BR30 and Sylvania OSRAM. LifX was hands down the best of the lights I tested and obviously double the price. The colors were rich and vibrant red was acutually red not washed out. The 1100 lumens is clearly noticeable. ultimately I went with the OSRAM as I couldn't bring myself to pay $70 a bulb where I need anywhere from 6-8 bulbs. . Other than price these bulbs are awesome

I have a ton of smart home stuff and these lights help my security cameras with night vision illumination in a huge way. I’m able to see most of my patio without lights on clear as day on video with one of these and the camera’s onboard night vision light turned OFF!

LIFX has completely overtaken hughe lights. The colors and saturation can not be beat. The pros are each light connects to your wifi network without the need for a bridge like Phillips. The con is the same thing...if you have a house full of LIFX lights it can get squirly...as they're known to lose connection which requires re connecting.

Bought two of these bulbs on sale and I’m overall happy with them. My only gripe with LIFX is the setup process. Pairing these bulbs were a pain. Had to reset them twice to get them to finally connect. Huge pain to setup. It would get almost to the end and say something went wrong.
Once setup they work perfectly and the night vision is a huge plus.
