Customers are saying

Customers praise the LIFX Mini Color A19 for its vivid colors, ease of use, and straightforward setup. The app is also frequently cited as a positive aspect, and many appreciate its compatibility with other smart home devices. However, some users mention connectivity challenges and note that the product is on the expensive side. While a hub is not required, this is not a universally highlighted feature.

I starred my house with Hue lights but quickly grew to dislike the use of the hub and their overall brightness and color vibrance so I switched to Lifx and haven't been happier. Unfortunately they app has gone downhill as of lately but it's still worth it for the lights. Work great with Alexa and Google.

The app is easy to use. The light is easy to install and program. It has worked consistently since its installation and programming. It’s expensive, but so are most lights of this sort. You don’t have to put on the red light.

After I had to reset my router I had to reset the bulb, its s little complicated but I figured it out. I tried re connecting it to HomeKit and all of a sudden my HomeKit code doesn't work anymore. I have tons of HomeKit compatible accessories, this was the only to give trouble. Anyways the code doesn't work anymore, Even though it matches with the SN. so I follow instructions to set it up again and it comes to the point where I need to "See Manual" (As shown in the Photo) in order to get the HomeKit code (even though I have it in my hands). So I clicked on the link and now I have to create an account. Not a big deal, frustrating but whatever. I go to make an account and enter a password, except the button at the bottom to create the password doesn't work, so I can't create the account to get the code I already have physically. And just so everyone knows, im not a newbie when it comes to Technology, I know a decent amount. im not someone who is having trouble because I don't know what im doing. It's the opposite of apples slogan "it just doesn't work." And of course their website has no phone number to call, just email. anyways I'll stick to Phillips Hues because I have yet too have a problem

Full range vibrant colors, perfect daylight white to a warm soft white. Work very nice with Apple Homekit. I wanted something dimmable and could change the white light from daylight to a warm easy on the eyes when I watch tv. These bulbs were not too much more expensive to get color and I really like them. Turns out light purple is best for watching tv. I use daylight white when I get home and need to cook and clean and use different preset colors and brightness levels. I paired two lights in the living room. Will buy more for the other rooms. I have smart locks, switches, outlets and bulbs. For Apple users you do NOT need the lifx app. Install bulb, turn on, go to settings>wifi>lifx bulb> add to network and scan code and then finish setting up in homekit. Same with most other smart devices that work with Apple. Why let another company have access to your locations, contacts, etc I have seen in past reviews of smart products some people have a hard time connecting their new device. If you have dual band 2.4 and 5.0 router you have to make sure your setup device Tablet or phone is on the 2.4ghz wifi. If you have simultaneous dual transmitters, afterwards you can connect back to the faster 5ghz. If you don't you have to stay connected to the 2.4ghz If you are new to smart devices, keep in mind they are not as fast as flipping a switch and will have slow connection issues from time to time

Got these because they work with the Google Assistant, and wanted to do more with my Google Home Max. Very simple to setup-- Literally turn into socket, download app and sign up for LIFX account, and then name it in the app when it's found. Done. The app is pretty great and intuitive at choosing colors, brightness and even some fun effects like Spooky which strobes it every few seconds. Even when I'm at work on mobile 4G data, my sister confirmed it can control it away from home not on same network! Since then I bought one for sister, and plan to add more around the home. I will say when I added the second one, I had to unlink and relink both lights to my LIFX account to undo some weird glitch with trying to connect to Google Home. Google support did a great job in helping me, and it was the LIFX app that caused a minor issue, but a simple "turn it off and on again" linking situation through app, and now all is well and integrated with my Google Home Max. My niece LOVES these lights, so fun for little kids to ask Google to change it to their favorite colors.

No matter which voice assistant I talk to, they're all compatible and able to control LIFX lights. Alexa, Google, and Siri can all power the lights, change the dimness level, and the light color. The lights can also be easily controlled by an iPhone app and even on an Apple Watch. There are a few times that a bulb will disconnect and not respond, but manually turning the light off and on fixes the connection.

    My current favorite smart bulb

If you’ve never touched a smart bulb in your life, or if you want an easy and quality smart bulb experience, this is the one to get, especially if you can find it with a discount. Why is it my favorite? 1) The price is right—full RGB, respectable brightness, no hub needed, so it’s an easy point of entry and yet you have every bell and whistle available to try with just this one item. 2) No hub needed, just wifi, and in my experience it’s perfectly reliable once you get it online. 3) I’ve owned a ton of LIFX products, and the Mini is by far the most stable and reliable, and thus my favorite. The others are still very good, but this one beats the rest. 4) The small size fits in every fixture I’ve thrown it at, and casts the kind of “all-around” light that most people are used to from standard non-smart bulbs, whereas Philips Hue bulbs and LIFX A19’s cast a more directional light. For all these reasons, LIFX Mini Color wins for me, and I’d recommend it to anyone interested in trying or filling out a smart home setup.

The lightbulb is good. Easy to use, somewhat easy to set-up. I have three in one room. Nice and bright when using all three. You can set up different moods and colors accordingly. Apple HomePod sometimes can’t connect to one of them or all three. But the app or turning them off and on resets them.

These lights where easy to setup and so far work flawlessly with my Google Home. Love all the colors. Wish they were about $30 or more cheaper each. Let's be serious, our homes are filled with lights. Some fixtures have multiple bulbs. It's just not ideal to spend all that money on these things.

I got four bulb Pack for a lamp in my family room. I was really impressed at how I could change the bulb to any shade of white or any color for that matter. The bulb is also dimming and connects to your home network to further connect to Apple HomeKit and Siri, and also Alexa and Google Home. When I get home I can tell Google Home “turn on the lights” or I can set the mood for relaxing or watching a movie simply by saying dim lights to 30% and make color blue. Very fun and functional Lights. Great lights works well with my WiFi. I really like that no hub is required. I think the four bulb pack is a little high in price.

I got one bulb for a lamp in my living room. I was really impressed at how I could change the bulb to any shade of white or any color for that matter. I got this recently and had so much fun with it. I love the time settings where it dims at night and turns off late hours. I especially love the fun settings where it switches colors and also the sound sensitive setting. I played loud music in my room and danced on my bed like I was in the club.

I had my doubt about buying this build. First it was pricy and felt that if I was unhappy with it I would feel like a fool having to return it. I actually have been using it for about a week now and I really like. It is very easy on the eyes and makes it fun to play with the the thousands of possibilities it has. I use it daily for office desk lighting up the room depending on the mood I am in. Easy to use download the app and choose a name for it and hit start. I was up and going in less than 2min.

The major Pros for these bulbs. 1) The minis are much smaller than any Hue bulb but provide the same lumens making it possible to light up pendant lights and small lamps without a bulb sticking out. 2) The colors seem so much richer than other smart bulbs. 3) The LIFX mobile app is intuitive and easy to use. The only Con: 1) They are more expensive than other brands so you have to watch closely for sales. Of course that extra cost gives you the above pros so maybe its a wash.
