This light was my second smart bulb that I thought would take me deeper into the smart light game but it left me in the dark. I had some cheaper less fancy lights that I got 2 work but these Lifx never worked for me. Some of my outlets wouldn't power the bulb & they never connected to my wifi. I returned them highly disappointed !

I purchased the LIFX product twice from Best Buy. Each time the light, when attached to a light fixture worked. However, the ability to program the bulb to an iPhone app was next to impossible. I spent 2 hours trying to upgrade the operating system on the first bulb I purchased. Finally gave up and returned the bulb to Best Buy and was convinced to try another LIFX bulb (my goal is to control the bulb's operation through a smartphone). Again after about 2 hour of trying to upgrade the operating system in the 2nd LIFX bulb I quit and returned it to Best Buy. I guess the saying needs to be "how many people does it take to make a LIFX light bulb work with an iPhone app?" The answer: unknown it doesn't work.

I bought 4 of these to replace regular LED BR30s on a lutron (non-smart) dimmer and they work great. Brighter than the outgoing LEDs and dim with the existing dimmer with no issues with all the goodness of customizable white color and integration with alexa and smart things. Only con, not a deal breaker for me, is that occasionally one of the 4 loses wifi connection and I have to repeat the command to alexa for it to respond, but that's like once in 10 times or so. Bought them mostly for the ability to change the color temperature and we absolutely love them for that purpose and all the smart features are a bonus.

I had no idea how much difference the warmth of a white light makes. My kitchen goes from a clinical, high-tech, food-creation lab to a soft, romantic, warm and peaceful space, all just by asking my Amazon Echo to change my LIFX lights. I love that i don't need an extra hub to get these working, they just connect to my home wifi. So easy.

East to use with app and works seamlessly with Samsung Smartthings. Light is bright and you have the ability to dim or change color.

I couldn't say better things about them. I have owned them for a days and love them. I have them in my bedroom and have different colors over the bed. Voice activated with Alexa to make it easy to turn off when in bed!! Seriously a good buy, press purchase now!
