We are now on our second set. Apparently you have to be very gentle with them when you are installing them. I was putting them around a desk and had to go over a monitor mount. I did not want to just lay it across the mount so I pushed it down to fit flush up to the mount, over the mount, and coming off the mount. This apparently caused some damage to the strip and the lights would only flash indicating a problem I had to spend quite some time trying to manipulate the connection at the damaged point to try and make them work. Its hit or miss at this point. Also the adhesive is not very strong and the strips kept falling off. I just purchased some better adhesive strips and now there is not a problem. Just be careful not to bend the strip too far or press too hard on it. They will break. Having said this, I still love the product and the ambiance it creates.

Very bright and compatible with Apple HomeKit so makes it very easy to use at home

LIFX products are top quality. Support is great. I have the bulbs and now these Z strips. Make sure your router is up to date. I love their app. I have made some small portable stage lights out of Z strips. Each of my units needed 3 sections. Best Buy’s exclusive 3 section pack was exactly what I needed. Others sell the standard 2 strip starter kit and you need to buy an add on pack to get 3 strips.

Yes, there are cheaper options, but LIFX delivers quality and performance above the rest. And it's fully HomeKit compatible.

Don’t go for the cheap alternative strip lights. LIFX is by far the most vibrant, brightest, and feature rich lighting on the market. I have these strips under a loft bed, under and above kitchen cabinets, and behind my tv. On holidays we light them all up in various theme colors and set the movement. Everyone compliments these amazing lights.

Good product, except the glue on the back of the strip.

I have had both Philips Hue and Lifx lightstrips and these Lifx lightstrips are by far the better product. They are brighter, have deeper colors and each strip has 8 zones vs 1 zone for Philips. That means that each strip can display 8 different colors at once and cycle through them, etc where the Philips can only display a single color for the whole strip. Highly recommended!

These lights are so cool. The are extremely bright when you have the setting up high or a nice romantic glow when you have the setting low. They do all sorts of patterns and can customize the colors. Well worth a try if you are looking for some cool lighting for your man cave, bedroom, poolside, deck or patio. Very pleased.

This could had been a 5-star review but Lifx NEEDS to improve their setup connection and App. This is definitely the coolest led strip but trying to pair it might change your mind as its very difficult! Your router has to be in 30 different settings in order to see it and make sure you grab a beer as it will take many attempts to add it to the Lifx app and Homekit. But, once you pass that test, this light its very bright and cool as you can have a bunch of zone with added effects from the app that would set the mood for any occasion.

I have bought 2 sets of these now, and both times I had to return the first purchase because it didn't work. The 2nd one worked each time. Bummer that the quality control seems to be iffy on these, but if you get a working one, it works terrifically. Expensive, but the best led strip lights i've seen.

Great color with seamless transition. Easy to set up.

Bright enough to light up the entire room, but no point of using it behind the Tv, very useful for closets or behind the bed under the bed or under the cabinets. The only con is you need a powerful router to have enough signals wherever you put it since it doesn’t use a dedicated hub like HUE

Amazing brightness along with easy installation for beginners

Love this strip because it's wifi enabled and works with alexa. Most light strips are only one color at at a time but the lifx z is multicolored. Plus you can set custom scenes and control it from anywhere. Lifx makes some of the best wifi enabled lights. No hub is required and they connect to the cloud, so they never lose connection. I also own the Lifx A19.

The lights are really good, and have great features. When it works properly. Initially, it worked fine, but after a few months both lights I owned wouldn't connect to the WiFi. Thankfully, I had GSP, so I had them both replaced.

Great color scheme easy to set up A bit overpriced

I didn't read any reviews before buying it but I like it. I just bought a 75" TV and I wanted to have the light behind it. I didn't know it had adhesive tape already on the product...that is smart and it is not super sticky so it can be adjusted while installing it on the TV. The 9.8 does not fully outline a 75" TV but if you go from the middle, down both sides, it is enough light to cover the TV. I have other LIFX lights so the connection was easy, no hub like Phillips. The install was recognized by my LG Google smart screen but it did not show all of the features like light color and it would not change color with my voice. It only worked through the LIFX app. I knew it was strange because my other lights change color via voice and the screen. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled the lights and everything worked like it should. IFTTT works well and so does the routines set up with Google Assistant. I am thinking about buying a big picture and I want another strip behind it too. A simple room looks much more interesting with the lights. I have Verizon's highest internet service and at least 40 devices connected and streaming...no probs!

Easy to use, set up, and does what it is supposed to do.
