I bought this item to increase the speed of my internet so I could stream movies better. I could immediately see a boost in my internet speed. My only complaint is it is so big that I cannot use the USB drive adjacent to it.

For those of you who do not have Internet access on your device. You need an ethernet cord or to download updates onto a USB on a separate computer with internet. I was an able to get it on my own. But luckily there is tech-support on the Linksys website. Were they helped me (via text chat).

Very good at what it does, but if you have it near another USB device that also uses wireless, it will cause interference and both devices will suffer a decent amount. If you have a desktop and any amount of pc building experience, i'd recommend buying a pcie wireless card. if you dont have any slots, or are using a laptop, this is definitely worth the buy.

Since my desktop the not have any open slot for a regular card I had to go with this option. I was a little worried about the speed I would get but as it turns out I have great reliable speed and it does not drop the connection. No regrets with this buy

This was ridiculously easy to setup. I've never had to reset, or shutdown, etc. It stays plugged in. I got it because I didn't want to run wires. And for the price, it was worth the gamble. And it paid off well.

I only had a chance to use this for two weeks before the motherboard on the computer died. It mated up nicely with the whole house wireless router that I am currently using and I plan to use it again if I need it in the future. It is truly a plug and play chip.

The salesman was clear on my needs and knew a lot about the product. He reviewed some of the other products on the shelf but explained why this item was the best option for my needs. I haven't had any problems and it works great.

The Linksys 3.0 adapter is one of the most convenient tools I have ever bought. My wireless unit went out when I was traveling and I purchased the Linksys to complete my assignment. It is easy to install and very reliable.

This was purchased to replace a broken adapter that was used in my parents PC. Fixed the issue and is giving a stronger connection then before. Only issue is that the link to the drivers was deprecated and I had to do some additional searching to get this installed.

New house didn't have have a cat5e network line where we needed to put the desktop computer. Picked up this Linksys item (our routers are also Linksys) and within just a few minutes...problem solved. A little large but gets the job done.

I was getting pretty close to Ethernet speeds with nearly no latency on this thing. (248 mb/s out of 260 mb/s and 18ms ping to SF) The range was not bad ether. I would recommend in a pinch for sure.

I live in a early 1950s cape cod house with all the wireless signal problems that entails. ( no open floor plan, very solid walls, solid doors, many separate rooms) My 1GB cable wireless modem is downstairs, to get at least 780MB download speed upstairs I need this adapter along with a usb extension cable. without this adapter and using the built in notebook wireless adapter, I cannot get more than 525MB download speed. So for me this adapter is great. Also if you have an older computer this will enable you to get the max speed out of the most current modems. So if your internal wireless adapter is of the old b/g/n variety that cannot get the high speeds this is a very inexpensive fix.

I was a bit skeptical buying this product for my aging Windows7 computer which had experienced only an ethernet connection in the past. The installation was easy and it works fast and flawlessly. Do not miss ethernet connection at all.

Used this adapter to convert a Win7 desktop PC from 802.11N to AC and the difference was very surprising. Wireless connection speed jumped to 867mbps from 130mbps when connected to the 5Ghz side of the EA6900 wireless router. Installation was typical USB with the PC immediately recognizing the adapter and installing the driver. Downloads are lightning fast and web pages load quickly. I'm very satisfied with this product.

As long as you have the drivers on a USB or downloaded before you need this its perfect for a wireless adapter.
If you dont have those it can be difficult since you get this to access the internet but need the internet to make it work
