The Smart function was not operating. The service technician recommended a WiFi adapter. I have had LinkSys products in the past but have not found them to be that great. But the Best Buy salesperson this was the best one available. So I bought in. Plug and play? No way. Nothing happened. So I returned it with no hassles. I called Samsung and they told me I needed proprietary Samsung adapter. Another Best Buy salesman recommended trying a Roku device first which I did. It worked perfectly for what I needed.

simple and works well, not the best signal at 5G

Not great signal at 5G for a router that's directly upstairs is the only complaint. Overall good.

Keeping the driver updated might help to stabilize the connection from the adapter. Making sure that it gets an optimum connection from the router will also help. He plays network games and has not reported any lag or any other issues. We had a Netgear AC adapter prior to this one and it broke the first week from poor design.
