Made my laptop's internet access faster

My Toshiba laptop did not come with dual broadband support installed so I couldn't access the faster network provided by Comcast. This allows me to do so.

How many wireless devices do you have? Have you checked if those devices get the same speed with the adapter? What tool did you use to check the download speed? You may also verify the speed by checking the connection status of the network that the computer is connected. Assuming your computer is running on Windows operating system, right click on your wireless network and go to status.

Apparently the driver for windows 10 constantly drops and reconnects, the only fix I've found is to force the adapter into ONE wireless mode (I used AC) but even then, the adapter can be finicky and drop connections. Overall, it is better than dragging a network cable through the house, but barely. I ended up disconnecting this and pulling a cat5 through the attic.

Good, albeit loose in the USB port.

Distance was not a factor for me, and there was no latency. It was connecting to an Apple Extreme router (awesome). SO it all works, but one and don't look back.
