Made my laptop's internet access faster

This wireless adapter gave my laptop better internet access speed. My Toshiba laptop did not come with dual broadband support installed so I couldn't access the faster network provided by Comcast. This allows me to do so.

Works fine, but really hangs out of the USB slot

Works fine not that I was expecting anything less. The length of the adapter makes it really stick out of the USB port. Would rather have had an extension cable and mounting bracket for the adapter.

Hi Flash,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Let us help you check this.
How many wireless devices do you have? Have you checked if those devices get the same speed with the adapter? What tool did you use to check the download speed? You may also verify the speed by checking the connection status of the network that the computer is connected. Assuming your computer is running on Windows operating system, right click on your wireless network and go to status.
We'd appreciate if you'll update us via email at [email protected], with your full name, location, contact details and the link to this post.
We'd be glad to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Linksys Support http://support.linksys.com

Looks like working well for WiFi reception, but the size is too big and it takes more space on the back of my mini pc...

Bought an older laptop whose internet wouldn't work. Even Geek squad couldn't fix it. So, I bought this gizmo, and hooked it up. Voila, internet!!

When it works, it works great....but when it doesnt work it's really frustrating. Apparently the driver for windows 10 constantly drops and reconnects, the only fix I've found is to force the adapter into ONE wireless mode (I used AC) but even then, the adapter can be finicky and drop connections. Overall, it is better than dragging a network cable through the house, but barely. I ended up disconnecting this and pulling a cat5 through the attic.

Hi,
Updating the driver of the Wireless AC adapter should resolve some issues but, for isolation, you can try to use the adapter on a different Windows computer to see if the same issue occurs. For further assistance, please reach out to us at [email protected], and share more details with the link to this review for our reference.

The device works fine. It's better than what I had previously but, it moves around quite a bit when it's plugged in to the USB port. No idea why it does that.

It does what it is supposed to do but it slowed down my computer from 30 MPS to 3 MPS so only use it when there are connection problems. Easy set up

Hi, Bill,
It is very unusual for the adapter to slow down your internet speed. We suggest that you bring your device closer to your router to check if the speed improves. If you need further assistance, send us an email at [email protected] along with your contact details and the link to this post.
We hope to hear from you soon.

We bought this and it took a minute to hook it up. It took a few times to try to get it to connect, 3rd time was the charm. Everything seems to be working great. Bought this instead of hard wiring to the internet.

Like many wireless FOBS, you plug it in and it works. Distance was not a factor for me, and there was no latency. It was connecting to an Apple Extreme router (awesome). SO it all works, but one and don't look back.

I'm getting about 250 Mbps download speed with this puppy, where I get around 400 wired. That's excellent in my book. I've done research in wireless technology.
