My wirless unit on my mom's hp went out and would no longer connect. I bought this thing and disabled the old one and my speeds were tripled. It's great and worked flawlessly. Took 2 minutes to set up, no other issues.

I purchased this for a laptop that didn't have 5g wireless. I had to restart the laptop to get it to work. I also had to change the power settings to get it to work after restart. Since then, it works well and provides a much faster connection for my wireless. I am using this with a linksys router. I purchased this to match the brand, and it connects every time without an issue.

my wi-fi was very unreliable and my dell warranty ran out(I have since renewed my warranty). the technician Geek squad member suggested that I get an external wi-fi adapter. I chose Linksys-AC1200 and I have had no problems since installing Linksys - AC1200 Dual-Band USB 3.0 Adapter. Thank you so very much.

Runs perfectly on both 2.4 & 5Ghz networks. I have mine running on the 5Ghz^2, which are the upper channels (around 5.7Ghz & around channel 161) at 80Mhz width and have the adapter properties set to AC WiFi only and this thing is speedy fast, I got it cause I got sick of the unsightly Ethernet cable running outside my room where the router is and onto my room and across my floor. This gives me my full speed and honestly is just as fast as my wired connection was. I have 450Mbps down around 25Mbps up for reference, I think this tops off at 300Mbps but I may be wrong.

I purchased the device to hook my desktop computer up to wifi in my apartment. The computer is about 20 feet away from the router and on the other side of a wall. It's worked great!

Works as advertised, have purchased 2 of these. Needed WIFI access in my new home for my son's gaming desktops. Allowed them to connect to my local WIFI as soon as I plugged them in to the USB port, but couldn't get the connection speed I expected until I went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded/installed new drivers. After that, have had very solid connectivity and speed with no additional tweaking.

My computer is only 5 years old but it's NIC could not take advantage of Xfinity's high speed service. This adapter which connects to a 3.0 USB port and provides the AC protocol did the trick.

Works with W10 with certain drivers

This WiFi adapter works pretty well with Windows 10 1709, Fall Creator's Update. You have to use the official driver found on the Linksys website:
Windows 10 driver version: 1030.19.0103.2017.
With this driver, I ran SpeedTest a couple of times while connected to my 5GHz and averaged around 20 ping, 105Mbps down, and 10Mbps up. I pay for 100Mbps. I docked a star to the rating because the connection to my WiFi network drops after gaming for a couple of hours. I also had to get a USB cable to connect the WiFi adapter directly to my MOBO to reduce the frequency of the disconnects.
*NOTE: Anytime that W10 pushes through an update, you will need to reinstall the 1030.19.0103.2017 driver. When W10 updates, it seems to automatically update the network driver for this WiFi adapter to some generic driver that does not work well AT ALL with W10.
So after a W10 update, you need to go to Device Manager.
Under Network adapters, right-click on "Linksys WUSB6300", click Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software >
Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer >
Have Disk... > Browse, then navigate to where you saved the driver. Then click "OK" > Next.
Now you should have successfully installed the W10 1030.19.0103.2017 driver!*

Item works as advertised. Came with an installation disk, but it wasn't needed. Truly plug and play. Linksys makes great products, but you're going to have to break out the checkbook
