It's basically plug and play. I have it in a computer upstairs and my router is downstairs, so that's a plus. And it's AC, so it's good for future upgrades.

Bought this for a laptop which could not have the internal card upgraded. Great speed increase for the laptop and easy to install.

For the price of this wireless adapter, its amazing connects to both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, and surprisingly from what I saw from my router settings this product connects with wifi 6! which makes this product the best for me, allowing my desktop that doesn't have a wireless connection to be connected fully wireless and I still get the speeds that I normally work via ethernet cable. Also, it is just plug and play, no additional set up required!

Easy set up, strong signal and works great. Simple instructions and had it up and running in no less than 10 minutes

Plug and play to perfection. Computer recognized the new device automatically and did what it needed to do to start using the device immediately. Very fast throughput like a hardwired cable connection!

I use this daily and love it. Had to install by downloading the file from the site because my laptop doesn't have a disc drive for the installation cd but after that it was easy and useful

This USB adapter works great! I'm able to get full wireless connection from my router to my PC on the second floor of my house. Installation was easy and all for a great price.

This is my second unit as my first was chewed off by my puppy. So easy to install and finds the network in seconds.

This is for a PC that can't get hard wired internet. No connectivity issues. Fast to the limits of ISP about 115 by 11.

I would recommend instead installing a dedicated adapter to your computer or laptop, if applicable. Reason being is depending on the resources your device takes up, that 3.0 USB port can short. Then you have only the 2.0 ports to use, which won't be as fast as the 3.0 resulting in intermittent drops and latency. but if you have no choice, then this is the BEST BUY for your buck. Just don't download that stupid proprietary software Netgear wants you to use instead of the regular Windows Network Connection. I'm never a fan of something you don't need that adds to your start up and programs.

Increased my speed and signal strength, used to replace an older one.

We where having trouble with a computer in the back of our home and purchased wireless AC USB adapter. It was simple to install and delivers great signal now.. Works Great !!

Great way to for me to connect to Internet as new Dell Inspiron computer I purchased from Best Buy (Dec 2018) has a known defect in WiFi chip & yet they sold it to me anyway. Been trying to manage with this WiFi adapter until I can buy another laptop to transfer all of my data so I can send my laptop to Geek Squad in Kentucky for 2-3 weeks to repair. I am a doctor in private practice & certainly can’t function without my laptop for 3 weeks. While this plug-in does the job of hooking my defective laptop up to the Internet, the width of it blocks so much of the USB plug in right next to it that I can’t use the other ISB port when I try to plug in my credit card processing gadget so I can accept payments and connect to the Internet at the same time so payments can go through. Instead, I’ve had to Unplug this device & use a different connection on the other side of my laptop to connect my laptop to the Internet the old fashioned way — with an Ethernet cable!! Then, I can use the 2nd USB port to process payments with credit card swiped contraption. It doesn’t need to be that difficult!! None the less, this product has allowed me to function when I travel & to be cable free when seeing clients. For some reason, neither the Delta Club nor the American Express clubs at the airports let me run an old fashioned ethernet cord to their wifi box!!! So, with this plug in product, I can connect to WiFi without so much hassle!

Works well, has good speeds and strong signal strength.

We have one wifi router hooked up to our ONE working phone line. I wanted a PC in my office and wanted wifi rather than wires. this little gadget worked IMMEDIATELY and does a fantastic job. My PC is only in the next room, so I'm not sure how it would work differently if it were farther away, but for my needs, it's perfect. Plug in and it sets itself up automatically.

I have an older computer and I live in the country so internet is a hard thing to keep up with. The internet device I have would not pick up on my older laptop so I had to purchase this to try and see if it would attain the wifi signal. After intalling drivers and setting it up, my older laptop was able to pick up the signal.

Very convenient, easy to use. Happy with purchase. Only disadvantage is the size.

Delivered fast wi-fi from a medium distance. Takes up a lot of real estate in my situation.
