I recently purchased a Linksys EA 7500 which has Great performance so I decided to switch my Netgear AC1200 Duel Band wireless adapter to the Linksys. BAD move! Same computer, location and ISP. Netgear on Speedtest consistently gave much higher speeds than the Linksys. Returned Linksys AC 1200 to BestBuy and purchased another Netgear AC1200.

We totally hear you as the Linksys WUSB6300 should have stable connection once set up properly. Often, the signal gets reflected, refracted, or absorbed by the obstructions like thick walls or ceilings. It would be best if the router is within the line of sight of the computer. Signal constantly dropped in and out, both connected to USB2 and USB3 ports (actually seemed worse on USB3.0). Signal strength is fine in that exact location as well (tested with a samsung galaxy 8, 8+, 20 ultra and several windows laptops and two chromebooks) so the adapter is definitely the issue

Many driver issues, such as only being able to view either 2.4g or 5g WiFi, but not both, BUT only if you modify the device properties to scan for the 5g networks. Constant dropouts resulted in me thinking my Internet service was dropping out, before and after installing the drivers. Oftentimes when turning my PC on, I would have to unplug and replug the adapter to get my WiFi to work again. Save your money up and buy a slightly more expensive one (I bought an ~$40-60 MSI wifi adapter and have had no problems yet)

Your computer equipped with the Linksys WUSB6300 should be able to simultaneously detect and connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks. If you still have the Linksys USB Wifi adapter, try plugging it to a different USB port and consider moving your device closer to the router to increase the signal. The installation instructions are similar to the instructions provided with Ikea furniture. Attempts to use the Chat with Best Buy feature were also disappointing. Kept getting the response: Let me transfer you to someone who can help you with that. They'll be able to see our conversation, so you won't have to repeat anything. One moment. Will be returning this device.

not really meant for consistent use

Dropped connection quite frequently and sometimes just crashed all together forcing multiple resets.. if you are looking for a backup or a travel dongle for quick emails and what not this would be just fine but if you're planning on using this for heavy use/gaming just buy a wifi card it will save you a lot of headache
