Desktop pc I am using this for is on 2nd floor. Router/modem is on opposite end of main floor behind my A/V components and big screen tv. This is far and away the best usb wifi adapter I've used. Good signal strength, reliability, and no excessive ping times, working great for me!

Devise was helpful in improving the strength of our WiFi signal prior to our upgrade. Our problems began when neighbors across the street hooked up to service. They were provided the dual signal router - we were still on the old router, which was a single band router. Therefore we were continuously bumped off the signal and left without service !!! Very frustrating !!! Especially when it took a couple of service calls until someone actually didn't blame the problem on our computer. With this device, the problem still occurred but not as frequently as without it. As soon as we replaced the router w/the upgrade (dual-band) like our neighbors have, we've had great signal strength and rarely are left without service. Since I'm no longer using it, I've given the device to my grandson, who has to use a hotspot for his connection.

I bought two of these units, one for my desktop and the other for my laptop, neither of which would recognize the 5 Ghz band of my new ASUS router. Now not only is the 5 Ghz band recognized but the download speed has doubled. Run the cd first and the installation is a snap.

Fairly simple to get set up. The range is solid. On occasion, it would disconnect from network and completely lose power from USB port, requiring a full reboot of the computer to get it working again.

The Linksys AC1200 is a great product that is able to go above and beyond the needs of any user. Everything I was looking for in a product like this is here. Great signal, easy convenience, automatic installation of drivers, and worth every dollar.

New WiFi 802.11AC technology, Super fast speed. connectivity and speed is by far faster than the older 802.11n. However, if you own a older PC, it would be worth while to invest in a USB 3.0 card, but it is not required to get the faster speeds. Only if you want to get and utilize the new technology to get the maximum speed possible.

HAD NO PROBLEMS INSTALLING IT AND VERY SELF EXPLANATORY.

Works as advertised. Needed a solution in the office which is on the other side of the house where my router is. A network bridge was too slow. This gets me the bandwidth and speed very close to being directly connected to my router.

I purchased this Linksys Black Adapter as a replacement for an older model. It is an excellent buy and super fast. Linksys products are very well made .I would recommend the Linksys Black adapter to all my family and friends.

Plug and play practically! I play World of Warcraft through this. More then enough bandwidth! Real easy install, plug it in, open wifi and that's all I had to do. I installed the software it came with so I knew it would work correctly but I did just plug and play!

I have a she shed outside in my yard. I hooked this up to my computer thinking I would have to buy an extender for it to work. I was shocked to see it work as well as it would have if I had it in one of my rooms in the house.

Bought two if these to get to desktop PC back on WIFI networks. The one was an older PC with no WIFI card. These are easier then adding a PCI card and are working well for my needs. I only use for general browsing and e-mails.

Purchased this due to the internet in my building is not reliable and doesn't stay connected on my work computer. Since using this adapter, I have had no more issues with this. Got this when it was on sale, but would have purchased anyway due to the capabilities that this unit offered.

gives very fast download speeds! i used it to set up a new computer without built in wifi or an ethernet available. had no problems connecting to wifi during windows set up.
