I bought this purchase on 01/02/2017 and it just stopped working yesterday(02/24/2017) .. it did not even lasted a year..what a waste of $60.00.. I gave 2 star because the speed was awesome and installation was so easy on my windows 10... It only lasted 52 days.. I been using Linksys product for 20+ years..I believe it was under the name of Cisco back then.. I bought this Linksys wifi adapter because I have Linkysys WRT1900AC router and it worked great together but unfortunately, it died on me after 52 days..I cannot even return this anymore.. I am going to contact Linksys and see if they can replace under one year manufacture warranty..But I doubt it... I been putting lots of interest in Linksys/Cisco for many many years but now i have to move on to Netgear or Asus, which I do not want to do but no choice.. Thank you Linksys for everything before and I am not thanking you for this defective wusb6300 adapter.. what a waste of $60.00 .. thnx a lot..

      Hi, SikhAmerican,

The wireless adapter should last longer. If the Power/Status LED won't show any light activity, then there's a possibility that this is a potential hardware issue.

Please get in touch with us at [email protected] so that our Escalation Engineers can further check the product. If it will be proven defective, we'll help you get it replaced. Indicate your contact information with the link to this review so that they can contact you as soon as possible.

I purchased this product for my desktop computer after a previous item had begun giving me problems. The price was perfect and the setup was a breeze. It comes with software loaded onto a CD-ROM. It essentially was just plug and play, it picks up my wifi signal great.

not much to tell here. it was on sale! i do recommend download full install from linksys website, this saves some time from updates. works in windows 10 latest update disaster. not sure about linux will have to try it and get back to you usually liksys is pretty decent in linux. do not let windows install it for you. the previous adapter i had was an asus-n-300 that gave up on me with constant drop offs and not returning from sleep state. this is not the case here, i turn on pc and done its on in a second or 2. it does get a bit warm to the touch. but if you vent it should be fine. i expect about 2 years from it.

I was surprised by the performance of this little thing. Obviously these will never be better than plugging into the wall but this works pretty well and makes it feel like its wired in. Great price and great performance for anybody in the situation that they arent close enough to wire into the modem. My advice, you need something plugged into the internet to download the latest drivers in order to use this on your computer so best use a laptop and download to a usb stick or if you can temporarily plug your pc to the internet and download the software before going wireless

The device was easy to set up, and runs fast. We typically get > 50 Mbits/sec. The only issue is that the size and shape are inconvenient, easily bumped and could be broken off. I connected through a short USB cable, but still not ideal.

Excellent WIFI adapter! Gives me over 800Mbps connection in Windows 10. Never have any trouble with it at all. Fair price for what it does. Bought 2, one for main PC and one for hobby room laptop. Get's great signal even from opposite ends of my house from 1st floor to basement in 3,600sq ft house. Would highly recommend unless you plan on trying to get full 1Gbps fiber optic internet speeds on 5 GHz or better than 300Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Advertised to do AC867 Mbps speed on 5 GHz band and N300 Mbps speed on 2.4 GHz band. Onsale now Dec 4 2020 online for $49.

I bought this wifi adapter not really expecting much from a usb one. (I figured getting a wifi card would be a better option). However, this wifi adapter works awesome. It was literally just plug and play for my version of windows 10. No setup was needed. I’m not sure what speeds I get from it but I’m able to game online through it! I play warzone a lot and have never had a problem with lag or ping. I would definitely recommend.

I use this on a secondary desktop PC I've got setup in the dining room, about as far from my wireless router as I can get and still be in the house. The signal is great 4/5 bars when other products and the previous USB adapter would only get 2 or 3 out of 5 bars signal. Setup was very easy on the PC with Windows 7 installed. I just plugged it in and everything worked. I haven't installed the drivers that came with the adapter because I haven't needed too. I've got nothing really bad to say or really good to say. This is just a good little adapter that does what is says it's supposed to do.

I have had zero issues with this adapter, and loved how simple and fast it was to set up. Literally just plug and go. It has never had less than full signal even thirty feet from router, and has never dropped its signal. The ONLY drawback I've come across is that its large design makes it so that you can't plug in anything else too close to it. It blocks out the other three USB ports in the back of my tower. I don't use them, but at least if I did I could just get an additional extender cable. Some other adapters do come with this, though. Otherwise, five stars for performance and ease of set up.

I had to move my PC into a different room, but my broadband modem had to stay where it was, so I had to go wireless. I pretty much only used the PC for MMORPG (Planetside 2, specifically) and was concerned that the connection wouldn't be as solid. I need not have worried, it has been very robust! Very simple setup, as one might expect of a USB adapter. The true issues are my less-than-speedy AT&T U-verse throughput and my meager gaming skills. No choice on the former, and no time to spend on the latter.

The Linksys wireless USB adapter is extremely powerful. The reception in our location is extremely cluttered with wireless networks. This adapter allowed for a clean reception signal even though previous outside manufacturer wireless units would not hold their signal. As a test result of strength with a speed test, there was no difference in the ping, upload or download, and was on par with the hard cable modem. This item was purchased to replace a cable modem booster due to our cluttered wireless network area and I believe it was well worth the money spent. Setup was easy,

When mi computer could no longer connect to the my Wi-Fi this was the perfect solution. The only downfall (which is why 4 out of5 starts) is I needed a connected computer to get the files I needed in order for this to work. Went to my local FedEx store and it took 5 minutes to download. I highly recommend this. Very user friendly.

Cisco creates these wonderful Wi-Fi products for your computer that all integrate nicely. All of them have essentially been self install products, meaning that you don't have to be super tech-savvy to get up and running. If you know plug in a USB cable, that is pretty much all you need to do with this. The enclosed CD takes over from there. The only minor point I have is that is that with all Wi-Fi systems they seem to need to be reset once in a while. I don't have a problem with that, since I'm kind of a techie, but some people may have the skills or patience for that.

I was skeptical about the use of this product, but having tested it in high traffic areas (airports and convention halls), I'm convinced it extends the broadband enough for me to upload large jobs for my photography clients without fighting for bandwidth.

The product works very well and the Linksys support people were excellent in helping to walk me through installation. Two items to note: 1. The link to the download software was not currently active for my product even though it was listed in the installation instructions. So, I needed assistance locating, downloading to another wifi computer, saving, transfering and installing on the cpu with no connectivity. 2. If the wifi device you are replacing still works enough to download and install the Linksys, I'd recommend keeping it long enough to get the new one install. Foolishly, I threw mine away at Best Buy's after purchasing the new one. I've been using the device for about three weeks and it works fantastic at my home office.
