Works well but I think it's designed more for windows 8 and 10. I'm running 7 enterprise and every few days if the computer sleeps I have to restart to get it to find the networks. When it works it is very reliable and high speed. Works really well on my windows 10 laptop but it also has a built in wifi card so I didn't get a chance to see if it drops after a couple days like on windows 7 enterprise.

Pretty much plug and go. Gets decent speeds, seems to pick up even weak signals well. Replaced the one in my computer that fried with minimal work.

We were very happy with this purchase. We recently changed over our internet provider and found out that since our computer was very old, it was slowing down our ability to open and read any email coming in. Our current internet provided suggested that we buy this adapter to help with the running of our computer and once plugged into our computer, viola, we were up and running at a fast pace again. We are extremely happy with this little, powerful packed product!!!

My older desktop Dell computer runs Windows XP and does not have any installed hardware for Wi-Fi. I needed some way to link up this computer with my in-home Wi-Fi network and this device did the trick. Just plugged it into one of my USB ports and it installed itself. It occasionally acts funky and won't connect right away but it keeps trying until it does. Link is strong and stable once connected. The AC band allows for fast downloads. I've had absolutely no problems with this device.

Only issue was in set up because there were no instructions on how to change the adapter connection in the settings. Tech support assisted me with that. When it was correctly connected, the adapter works amazingly well. Took my 802.11b/g/n from receiving 25 mbps to well over 100 mbps. Same computer acts like a new one with the simple and inexpensive device.

I upgraded my internet from 150Mbps to 500Mbps however, my laptop network card isn't a dual card i.e. 2.4 & 5. prior to buying and installing the Linksys dual band usb I was only getting speeds of 30-40Mbps. Once i installed the Linksys adapter I get consistent speed of well over 230Mbps both download and upload. If I connect vie an ethernet cable my speed is over the 500Mbps. I understand that anytime wi-fi is used the speed is basically cut in half. I am very pleased with this device. It does the job and is compact but a little pricy. There are many other less expensive devices available both in the store and online/Amazon. I spent the extra money to purchase a well known brand that is known for good quality. You get what you pay for. Good things aren't cheap and cheap things aren't good! I plug into the USB on the right side of laptop. If you plug it into a usb slot next to another you will not be able to use the other usb because this device crowds out the un-used USB slot. The other option someone could choose is a USB hub to plug the device into if they need all of the current USB slots. The install/setup was super easy.

This wireless adapter was very easy to install and has great range and speed. It works well every time it is activated on the wireless network.

With thelp of Best Buy's helpful and knowledgeable sales staff I bought the AC1200 took it home and had installed in a matter of minutes. It replaced an earlier Lynksys adapter that failed after 6 months and at first I was reluctant to replace it with another Lynksys product. The sales rep convinced me that this one was the right choice for my wireless home network. And, he was right. The new adapter was easy to install, works faster with the USB 3 port, and adjusted easily to my wireless network.

Works well once you have installed driver under Win 7; and recognised fine in Linux without issues at all. Worth the increase in speed as it is an AC device to take advantage of newer router(s). Slightly less signal strength, bars, but works faster! Definitely recommend, and would buy again.

Very easy to install. Powerful enough for 100 ft AC range without walls. Only problem is its size which is quite large and bulky.

I have a very basic computer (no WiFi, Bluetooth, camera etc.) I needed to set this up for someone who just needed access to the internet & email in a remote location in the house. This provided the WiFi connection needed and allows great connectivity and fast internet. I recommend this product. Good quality and has a good range.

This was a simple installation for me because the device came with a disc with the software on it. Just insert the disc and follow the instructions. If your PC doesn't have a disc drive or an Ethernet port, then you will have to use a different PC to download the software. Speeds were great and it will connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.

This USB adapter can get your desktop/laptop onto your network instantly within minutes. The only potential drawback is the adapter is about 2 inches long. If installed on front/side of of your drive, will protrude out significantly. If installed on a rear USB port and hidden away, you'll need to position your drive a very slight distance away from any wall/surface behind the drive to allow space for the installed adapter. Other than this minor issue to consider, an overall great product..

Would absolutely buy this again if I had to. Very easy installation. Easy WEP configuration. Great performance and signal strength.
