Comcast just exchanged my modem/router for a dual band mode. Unfortunately, my laptop couldn't take advantage of the 5Gz band until a tech suggeded this device. It sure makes a difference !

If your looking to use your 5ghz off your router and don't want to upgrade you computer them this is the best way to do. Well worth the money and I love it. My 5ghz off my router using this is super fast.

Boosted download speeds on my wife's old gateway from 2012 from 16 mbps to over 190 mbps. The built in adapter was so slow even though this computer was only a few feet away from the node. You must download the software and driver per the instructions. Then go into service manager and disable your built in network adapter. As such, this may be confusing to some people. It's not just plug and play. But with a little research you'll figure it out.

i purchased this unit for an older computer that did not have wireless capibility. It was literally plug and play. setup went fast and we got an immediate connection to our router.could not have been easier.

It works fine, and the speed is as advertised once a large file or amount of data is downloading, BUT, when it comes to loading web pages or individual elements of a page, it can be annoyingly slow. Like the ping / jitter is high. It ends up "feeling" like a slow connection even though the max throughput is high. I'm working to find something else.

Gives very good Wi-Fi and is very easy to apply to computer!!

I have a tower computer which had been wired to the modem, but I needed the modem slot for another device so I purchased the USB adapter to connect the tower wirelessly. It is fast and reliable!

Works very well, just what I needed. This is for the computer that has an old band width of N, or A&B.

I purchased the Linksys AC1200 Dual-Band Wireless USB 3.0 Adapter as a replacement for the Wireless N adapter built into the motherboard of my HP Pavilion desktop when my internet provider increased our speed from 50gb to 75gb. The wireless N adapter on the motherboard could not receive greater than 50mb (and could not see my 5Ghz network, either). The Linksys AC1200 Dual-Band Wireless USB 3.0 Adapter worked right out of the box. In less than 2 minutes, I was up and running, connected to my 5GHz wireless network and averaged 75.2GB downloads. This is a great option for users who have older laptops or desktops with outdated wireless technology.

The only thing I don't like about this product is that it sticks out a lot. I added a 3 inch USB extension from another product and that keeps it from sticking out and putting pressure on the USB port.

I purchased this wireless adapter because the one I was using previously had issues staying connected to my router after my Windows 10 upgrade. This one was ready to setup and has worked perfectly.

Easy to install. Just plug it in and go. You may have to tell Windows to use it instead of another wifi card you have. But once you do it works great.

At first, I purchased a cheaper product that ended up going in and out of connectibility. When I purchased this item I realized immediately how much better this product was on speed and always staying connected.

These Linksys products never let me down, plugged in and worked great on the first try, no driver disk needed. Also appreciate that Linksys updates the firmware reguarly.

It work very well, I not real keen on Linksys gear, but this has performed very well, and who doesn't like blinky lights

i bet works great but it was not compatible with my win 10

I was quite concerned, because the distance from my laptop to my desktop is very far and I wasn't sure the signal would reach that far. It worked perfectly and I have had no issue ever since.

Nice product at a very reasonable price. Works as well as more expensively priced items.

For a USB adapter this works pretty well. Actually use it for gaming from time to time and the performance on 2.4ghz is pretty good. 5ghz is better but the range isn't so great.
