||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My experience with this device was not good AND MORE LIKELY than not this may be because the router I have in my home is ancient and needs (according to Linksys) to be upgraded. I believe Linksys - technologies have changed drastically in this realm. I have purchased a new router but haven't yet had time to install it! So the verdict is out still for me. I will try to update this review if possible. I would say that if you have a desktop it wouild be best to purchase an internal wifi card and not a USB adaptor.

Going into this purchase i chose the linksys model because of the name. I have had nothing but great products that i have bought in the past from Linksys. The signal reception was poor. By being only 15 feet from the router i was getting only 1/2 signal on both 2.5 and 5 ghz. So i switched back to my built in WiFi and had full signal reception at 2.5 ghz.

This challenge might've been caused by interference. Try adjusting the wireless channel of the router and observe your connection.
