It was for my sons PC rig we build together. However, 5.0 GHz band did have some jitter and it would randomly drop the connection. This was only 25 ft away from the Asus AC1900 router. Overall, for the price, it is a great value if you are just looking for a WiFi connection to do low bandwidth work. It was plug and play, we did not have to install any special software.
