This adapter plugs into any USB port on the computer and took over all wifi processes with hardly any installation clicks required. Went from a 25 mbps reception speed to over 80 mbps (at the computer) from a 100 mbps signal originating at the modem one floor higher and the whole width of the house over.

Thanks for taking the time to share a review. Consider checking the driver version of the linksys adapter and update it to the latest one, as well as disconnecting the adapter from the computer and securely reconnect it to the same port or slot where it was attached to isolate the issue.
