This was my solution, and it works great. Couldn't decide between this USB option or going with an internal card. I wish I had bought something with Bluetooth built in though. Windows couldn't install automatically but Linksys software download took care of it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Linksys wireless adapters normally do not require extra configuration to achieve optimum wireless reception as it is a plug and play device. However, there are factors to be considered to maximize its connectivity. It could be caused by interference in your area like thick walls or ceilings. The only complaint I have is that in order to use this wireless adapter, you need internet to download the firmware to be able to use it. I feel like it should be easy enough to fit a small storage in the usb itself to accommodate the firmware.
