Only complaint is that it doesn't come with any extension cable to bring the receiver out from the back of my pc tower that's on the floor. Would improve the signal and get it away from all of the other wires and interference.

It's great to know that the adapter is working fine. You also indicated that the adapter sometimes loses power. Try installing the adapter to a different wireless computer to further isolate.
