The range extender works well, after a somewhat rocky start-up period. It was not straightforward to get it connected to our network and workout security, etc. Once that hassle was over, the performance has been much better than the Netgear predecessor.

Sure there are better, more powerful and full featured extenders out there, but this is a reasonably priced option with simple setup. Perfomed exactly as needed, wasn't looking for anything other than extending my signal further throughout the house.

Great range extender but connection drops sporadically for no real reason and requires a reboot

Quick and Easy setup, and it has an excellent range and strength. I used this to bridge to buildings across a large parking lot and it worked like a charm.

This is a great product for extending WIFI to any dead or limited coverage zones in your home or business. It was affordable, easy to set up and works great

This unit was super easy to set up and configure - took all of 5 minutes with my iPhone. It did take a little bit of experimenting to find the right place in our living room for it to work correctly but once we found that spot this unit changed our wireless experience. Before we had this unit, streaming tv was constant buffering - now everything works great. One tip - unless you are going to use the audio port - set the extender to use the same SSID as the main router. Initially we had a superate ID and our phones & tablets would not switch off to the nearest network.

We had a small Hawking that constantly needed to be reset. My kids were always complaining about wifi coverage. The lynksys has been great. Easy to setup and we have coverage all over our 2 story house - even down the halls and into the bedrooms.

The Linksys wireless range extender performs as advertised. It increased my WiFi reception from two bars to five. This is a reasonably priced range extender and is well worth the price.

Got this extender to extend my wifi throughout my house -- due to router is on one side and don't get good signal on the other. I can now connect to the extender and get full signal.

This solved my dead spot problem. It is compact and powerful. Works well with my all Apple device home. I had tried other extenders and found setting them up was time consuming a constant task. This has worked flawlessly since day one.

My home is three levels consisting of 9000 sq. feet. The equipment is on the bottom floor all the way to the East. My problem area was on the third floor with little to no bars on the West end. We now can use our devices all over the home.

The Extender has increased my area of connection by a lot. Able to connect in my front and back yard now. Seems to kick on and off but not sure if that is the Comcast router or not. Speed of downloads and navigating on the web are fast.

Little work to get it set up like you want it but overall a decent extender for the money.

I purchase the Linksys RE6500 to extend my network on the downstairs level of my home (router is upstairs in an office). This device does a great job of giving me full coverage in my home and in my yard as well. Additionally, it uses your original wifi information. I had a device that worked well but it created a separate network and this meant you would have to switch networks depending on where you were in the house. I am very pleased with the device and I also use its Ethernet outputs for devices that had been connected via a wireless bridge.

I read some people here complaining about set up, it was easy. Maybe because I have a Linksys router the connection was a breeze. I was done in 10 minutes. Fast speeds. It dropped the connection once in the whole time I owned it.

When it was first connected, it worked perfectly. Only needed it to extend my wifi into my living room for my gaming consoles. THEN Comcast struck..after a series of outages followed by one of their updates, their router now refuses to acknowledge this extender. And to be fair, it still broadcasts and is trying hard to reconnect to my network, but that router for some reason keeps saying no. Had this extender working for maybe a month before this issue happened, and it has been out for at least a month now. Comcast is of NO help, and considering this is supposed to be a plug and play device..yeah, its more than a little annoying.

Easy to setup, and worked well. I ended up returning this because I needed a system that provided continuous coverage (one network id). This extender required different network names so moving from one coverage area to the next meant you needed to sign in to the other wifi and visa-versa. Best Buy may tell you that you can name the systems alike for this purpose, but it is not true.

Extended our wifi to all the dead spots in our home, we have concrete floors for In floor radiant heat and couldn't get wifi signals in several rooms of the house now the whole house does including the basement. Plug in and go
