My townhome is 1600 sq ft so I’m unsure on why it doesn’t work that great! I’ve read the reviews and they convinced me it’ll be a great choice

Thank you for your honest review of the Linksys Max-Stream Dual-Band WiFi 5 router. The router is expected to cover a medium-sized household once properly configured and receiving a stable connection from wherever it is connected. In addition, for complete coverage, we always recommend that the router be placed in the center of your home. You might also need to add a range extender. I should've left well enough alone! While both cams are of different brands, the old router worked fine. In fact, I was able to run both cams, NETFLIX and ROKU, as well as a laptop! I hooked up THIS router, and I could only run ONE cam at a time for some reason, and my little tv boxes, (yes, I don't have a smart TV yet) started "buffering" for the first time, and my laptop slowed to a crawl. I think that the WORST thing is, however, the fact that it's an OLDER router and is now $89.99 when I paid almost $150.00 for it not less than I MONTH ago!!! Perhaps I should invest in a Net/Web because of my new cams, but I didn't feel that I needed that much power. In any case, THIS router is not up to par with my current needs. I should've stayed with NETGEAR. :-(
