Linksys router
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is good as a starter, off the shelf router for a SOHO setup. You have the ability to put custom firmware on it which I would recommend doing as there are way more features in that firmware that make this router pretty powerful. I had this router for a couple years before I had hardware faults on it so I needed to upgrade anyway. It’s not bad but if you are a little more experienced in the field of networking I would maybe look at other products that start with “UB” and end with “quiti”. In my opinion.

Fantastic long range router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a large house with half of it having poor or no wi-fi. I had a g router and moved to an n with some increased wi-fi coverage. After reading many reviews I decided to invest in this router.Fantastic!! I now have 5 bars thruout the house on all 3 levels and wish I had got it sooner!

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had Comcast leased modem/router and this blows it away. Thought I had to upgrade my internet speed with Comcast, not anymore. Definitely glad I made the investment.

Didn't want two pieces of equipment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this and a cable modem. I hated getting two pieces of equipment versus the two-in-one option but the sales guy was insistent. Plus, I don't know if it's the equipment or the new service, but I am tired of the lagging and the constant rebooting of the new equipment.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router provides a good throughput for both wired and wireless. I had setup an account with linksyssmartwifi before setting up the router and have had no problems with it. I do like that it provides an access remotely for router management.

A good Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a new wireless for a 2800 sq. ft. house. This does the job and gives good performance. We will probably need to Buy a signal booster though to make it work outside. Hopeful at Best.

A good router option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I returned the router to purchase the newer higher end version, they both used the same software set-up, which required a quick call to tech support. Second router in my home network, so far the WI-FI is supplying good covered.

Excellent Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router after extensive research on CNET. Bought it for my grandparents, who prior to this AC router had a single-band N router. Big upgrade, and the lack of a fan in the housing makes for silent operation.

Great Router!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product for free as part of Belkin’s Friends + Family Program Overall the router is awesome. It's built on a solid platform, has great heat dissipation, and has all the bells and whistles. It’s incredibly fast, rivaling the best of the AC routers. Has a great backbone with gigabit LAN. Has four solid antennas that provide whole home coverage and has little nuances like E-sata connections to complement the usb3 and usb2 connections. This router is a great addition to the home! Setup was seamless, app integration was stellar, and overall the feature set is all top of the line. I had the router setup in less than 5 minutes time and was able to tweak things as needed afterwards. The connectivity was excellent; I’ve yet to experience a single dropped connection. The only negative comment I have on this router is that the size is pretty massive. In comparison to similar routers its footprint is a little large. But overall, it’s a great router. For a few comparison tests… Overall connectivity strength and quality was on the top of the class for the 5ghz connections. Here are a few comparisons to other routers in & out of the class of this router… On my hardest to reach connection this router scored an 80% on 2.4 ghz versus an 88% on a Dlink DIR868L, 76% on a Netgear R7000, and 88% on a Netgear WNR2020. But the 2.4 ghz was never the strong point for this router. It was the 5 ghz performance that stood out! For 2.4 ghz I was getting 117 mbps connection speeds compared to the 130 mbps speeds on my Note 4 phone. But the 5 ghz was spectacular. For this router I hit an average of 468 mbps at the furthest NIC, compared to other routers that typically connect at the following speeds, it did awesome. I got marginally better speeds, but less link quality for the DIR 868L running 585 mbps and the C6300 connecting at 690 mbps. But for connections to the R7000 I got 351 and the R8500 I got 428mbps. The 5ghz speeds were on par with the EA6900. When it’s all said and done the router has been a solid performer, it’s easy to manage from the Linksys app and it doesn’t disappoint.

Reliable router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been using linksys routers for a lot of years and they have always been reliable and trouble free. Frankly, some of the reviews I read about this router had me concerned, i.e. router rebooting problems, but we are at 30 days+ of 24/7 use and no problems at all. Much better range and speeds than our old router. Our old router terminated service at our patio door, but this router's range extends well into the backyard and we no longer have any dead spots inside the house.
