We were dealing with a lot of buffering from our television my son suggested we needed a new router and after reviewing multiple products settled on linksys and it works wonderfully. The buffering has totally disappeared and we've had no issues. Definitely would purchase this item again.

It has been a fantastic router. I've used it for almost a year and a half and still going strong. My previous router through Spectrum continued to have issues, which made me switch to my own. The sale's representative helped me find this router. It's accommodated all our devices with ease.

I bought this after reading online reviews because our Verizon FIOS Quantum Gateway router was unreliable, dropped both wired and wireless connections too often, and everything I found online indicated those were known issues and not isolated problems. We live in a three-story above-ground townhouse and the router is located in my home office on the top floor in the rear of the house. One of the things I found interesting about this Linksys router is the expandability via mesh nodes if needed. So far, I haven't needed the mesh expansion, and the router has been rock-solid reliable. Fast Internet that doesn't drop, not even when we stream YouTube TV while also using our iPads or PCs. (I should mention that one of the TV streaming devices is down on the ground floor, two levels away. Still no problems.) I telecommute most days and have had no reliability problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this device. It didn't completely replace the Verizon router for us because our FIOS setup uses a coax connection, so I put the Verizon router in bridge mode and let this one do all the work. So far, it's been terrific. I wish I had gotten it a lot sooner! I will also note that when I bought this router, it was on sale at Best Buy, but it's been good enough that it would have been worth it at full price too.

The AC2200 router was easy to install, you have to follow the instructions on the Linksys app carefully. I got a little increase in speed with the new router vs my aged old Linksys router. I have not had to reset the router in three weeks, also an improvement.

This is a great router that has allowed me to pull the full strength of my internet provider. It completely covers my 2,500 sq. ft. split level home, but I can add additional Velop nodes if needed. It was very easy to set up and Linksys has a very useful app to manage settings and connected devices. Highly recommend!

Easiest Set-Up Ever (If You Download Phone App : )

I bought this Router yesterday after reading so many positive Best Buy Reviews. The main reason is cause I wanted to save $ 5 bucks a month on my Spectrum Router "rental'. The Pick -up staff member at Best Buy handed it to me and said "I have the same Router on my own Spectrum service and you'll love this product". He then showed me his Cell Phone LINKSYS "App" and in 2 minutes showed me how to install at home. I promptly downloaded the cell phone App (it's free) and he was so right about that! In less than a half hour (I am technically "challenged") I was up and running faster than the speed of light! For an extra $99 bucks, I purchased the separate "Wi Fi Booster" that was even easier to install. You simply plug the booster in another room in your house (they don't suggest more than 2 rooms away from the main Router) and followed my cell phone app and Bingo - stronger signal througout our house now! Granted, it's only been 24 hours, so let's see how the rest of the month (and year) go, but for now, this is a superior Router than the $ 5 dollar monthly "rental" router that SPECTRUM was renting me. Thanks Best Buy - and thanks Linksys - let's hope this lovefest lasts a long time!

    Used in an apartment

Had to replace an old router that was not able to service a small 2 bedroom apartment between 600 and 700 square feet. I was getting about 20 mbps next to router and when behind the closed doors of the bedrooms it dropped to less than 1.5 mbps. With this new router it now get around 65 mbps next to router and behind the closed doors of the bed rooms it does not change. I probably could have looked for something a little less expensive but after doing my research I decided to go with this router. I have had Linksys routers over the years and have always had good luck with them. So I seem to always lean toward them even though I have read very good reviews on other brands. It was very easy to set up too. Easy enough for my child with no IT skills who’s apartment this was for. Pretty much plug and go. It was simple to explain to her how it all works and she was able to create her own network. With technology always changing one needs to do their research to understand what all the features are for. I think the mesh technology is great but to make sure you are not loosing band width double check how it works if you use mesh wirelessly or wired for each mesh device.

I got 5 wireless Arlo cameras on the outside of my house, and they are all about 60-70ft away, a PlayStation 4 70ft from my house in my garage, 4 indoor wireless cameras in my house, 3 tv’s connected thru WiFi 3 iPads, and about 6 phones and NEVER have any issues what so ever, I get full bars and BERY GOOD connection on everything, I am beyond happy with my router, Best Buy tech told me to buy a separate modem and router for better speeds, and he was right, I only pay for speeds up to 100mbps and my PlayStation in my house about 40ft from the router gets speeds over 130mbps when I do the connection test, never a glitch, my Arlo cameras always had a funny delay in playback with my out dated setup but not with this 5g with Mesh, this things is worth every penny, can’t speak on longevity but my last linksys router always worked perfect for almost 10yrs but just couldn’t handle all the devices so I upgraded, I almost bought the 2 in 1 Motorola but glad I didn’t this thing is fast and the App on my phone to control everything is a very nice touch, setup was a breeze, and when anyone try’s to connect to my WiFi it asks me for permission which I like a lot, they don’t even have to type in a password, soon as they try to connect it pops up on my phone to allow or not, very cool.

Very Easy setup with the app. Sped my internet up tremendously. Went from 15 mbps to 25. I can only get windstream where I live but this was a game changer. Netflix used to buffer all the time but now we can stream Netflix in two different rooms with no buffering.

Router is pretty easy to install and setup. I have ATT Fiber 1000 and the modem is currently set in pass through mode (att WiFi radios turned off and firewall deactivated to allow full access to the Linksys router). Also have 2 Velop nodes distributed in my 2500 sq ft, two-story home. Full signal everywhere in the house plus to my 3 Blink outside cameras and Nest doorbell cam. Currently running 20+ devices and the router seems to keep up. App is easy to use to check status of router and 2 nodes; nodes occasionally need to be restarted which can be a small frustration. Speeds throughout the house are solid with no real buffering issues. iMac does not seem to get good WiFi speeds regardless of the WiFi setup. I would recommend this product but to be honest I’m looking at upgrading only six months after purchase. When using WiFi on the nodes, speeds never really exceed 100 mbps; which is frustrating given the service I’m paying for. Take into account the router cost plus the 2 nodes and you can buy a really expensive high end router that will likely give you the same coverage or better. Which is the direction I’m heading. Also - when using the Xbox to update games over WiFi, speeds won’t get near 100 mbps even with the router being 25-30’ down the hall. Also considering hard wiring living room components.

Had the Linkseys AC2200 Tri Band Mesh Wifi Router for about a month so far and very pleased. Our old set up consisted of a Netgear and a booster that gave us spotty wifi in certain areas. The Linkseys router improved reception immediately. I'm sure a newer model Netgear would've done the same, but happy with Linkseys. Set up was easily done. I really like the Linkseys app that you install on your phone that can be used to monitor your wifi network. I like the ability it allows you to see which devices are connected to our wifi. We also created a guest network. With this mesh system, you can connect nodes that expand your wifi area. We got some and now our network is even better. Only trouble we had so far was that I had to manually reboot the router after our internet provider had a blackout for a few minutes. Not sure if I could have rebooted it with the phone app but that would have nice. Overall, for the price of about $130, very happy with the Linkseys router. The nodes cost extra, but highly recommended.

Ought it about three weeks ago, so far so good. It’s not a super high end router but for the price it’s been a good deal. Can stream on at least three elevators at once without buffering. We have it placed in a central location of the house and so far no dead spots or weak signals. Good router for smaller or moderate sized homes.

I’ll leave it to others to comment on features of the AC 2200 such as intelligent mesh, tri-band capabilities, enhanced security and the like. What I found extraordinary was the set-up. As instructed, I downloaded the Linksys app to my mobile phone and the app then took me through each step in ways a non-techie can instantly understand, with just the right amount of instructions and graphics showing what is happening. Although they apparently sell separate nodes for extending signals around the house (my house is 3400 square feet and the signal is fine in virtually all the rooms), I already had a Netgear extender with WPS and the Linksys mobile app was amazingly simple for linking the old extender to the new Linksys modem as well. Strongly recommend this product. This was a replacement for my old Cisco modem that suddenly failed and I can’t say enough about Best Buy’s web site and one-hour pickup. Best Buy has shot far ahead of other well-known online and in-person stores for doing it exactly right.
