Great, user-friendly control interface
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for two reasons - first, our old router was just not working as reliably anymore, dropping our internet at random times and we would have to reset it at least once a week. Secondly, I wanted something that would give me decent parent controls to monitor and limit when my kids were online. This router has not disappointed so far - instead of having to collect their devices before bed to make sure they are not online at all hours, I can simply go into the parent controls screen in the router interface and selectively block individual devices (namely - their devices) from accessing the router after 9pm. The access hours are very customizable - you can set "off limits" hours at bedtime, and you can also set a block of time around dinner when they cannot be online. This router has been great with helping me to establish more structure as a parent. This is especially important and necessary with the recent COVID19 situation, where kids are online more than ever. You can also block specific web sites in the router interface as well. Besides the excellent parental controls, this router has not disappointed in terms of speed - I noticed an immediate improvement in the internet speed after setting this router up. It effectively has two separate networks - one on the 2.4G band, and the other on the 5G band. We set up our devices that stream internet content (Netflix, Amazon) on the 5G, and our other devices on the 2.4G network. This router also allows you to set up guest networks so that if you want to allow someone access to your WIFI but not divulge your protected network password, you can. Bottom line: I would purchase this again. The price wasn't outlandish, either.

Great Tri-band Router
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There was no issues with the set up of the Linksys Mr8300 AC2200 router. The router was set up with 2 dual band Velop nodes the was a snap to add to the router. Set was done on my apple iPhone and went without a hitch. It is nice to be able to access the router from your phone when you are away from home. We have 11 devices connected to the router and have no issues, and have a no lag times. I am very satisfied with my MR8300 AC2200 Router.

Good for Small to Medium-Sized Homes
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My home internet package is 1000 Mbps. From our outlet, we get around 850 Mbps. My home has lots of turns around hallway walls but this router is able to keep a consistent dispersal of our internet. In my furthest room from the router, about 40 feet and through a couple of walls, I'm still managing to keep about 250 Mbps to my phone and my laptop. I would recommend this router to anyone with a small to medium-sized home to take advantage of this router's fullest capacity.

Easy setup. Great performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I exchanged for this router to replace a router from another manufacturer that I purchased a month ago that was not passing the speed capable from my Spectrum provider. This Linksys router was easy to set up and is extremely fast in supporting over 200MB download throughput. Was also easy to set up port forwarding for my security device applications. The setup and control from my Android smartphone is convenient and has the necessary features to control the router.

Much needed upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router definitely cleaned up a lot of dropped connections, weak signal and intermittent speed issues. After a month, I ended up adding on a few VELOP mesh “pods” which allowed an even more uniform and reliable connection across the home. Adding to that, the stand-alone mobile app makes for a nice easy way to set up guest networks, etc.

Great router, especially for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up and connected with the mesh points automatically. I have about 1 month of uptime on it so far with no glitches. Great coverage too... I have mine inside a cabinet for aesthetic reasons and still rock steady with the nearest mesh point about 25 feet down the hall. I can't see why anyone would pay over $300 for a mesh router when this is available!

Amazing router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this router for 3yrs now and have had nothing but great WiFi! It’s been the most easiest to set up and get started! It’s running at least 6 phones, 2ps4’s and a Xbox 1, 3 smart TVs, 2 Apple TV’s, multiple Alexas, multiple smart plugs and 3 ring cameras all with out lagging! I highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a great router with zero issues.

Pretty good WiFi router/extender.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router allows for maximum customization which I love. I can easily set preferences on which devices get better WiFi. Meaning I experience little to no buffering on any of the websites/apps I use. However for ultimate WiFi power, I suggest buying the node extenders which are sold separately to unsure everyone it the house gets the best WiFi. All in all pretty good and a good pick for a router.

Great router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been needing to upgrade my router for awhile now. I was previously using the one provided to me by our cable company but I was experiencing connectivity issues. So glad I purchased this linksys router. It was on sale and the set up was easy. Comes with a great phone app so that I can monitor all my devices. All and all it's a great router and I highly recommend it.

Better then Expected
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from our C1900 and it’s been a great upgrade. Pros We have about 6-13 devices connected at once with 3 HD smart TV’s, No lag. Parental control to block connection and sites for the kids. With schedules for internet blocking. Great range, we actually have connection across the entire house now. Cons Took 2 attempts to active with the app. Have to use the app to set up, but once it’s done it’s easy to get use to.

Just what I needed!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price and outstanding router. I had a dual-band previously and it struggled to deliver a solid signal through my 1500 sf home but this tri-band router works perfectly. Before I had to use powerlines to get certain devices online in rooms further away but now every tv, laptop, tablet, console and phone in my house can connect and not suffer from any performance issues or buffering.

Excellent performance. Limited Range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router after becoming completely fed up with the Netgear Nighthawk R8000. All of a sudden the Nighthawk started dropping the internet and wi-fi connections. It would randomly reboot for no apparent reason. After two replacements, hours on the phone and a plethora of emails I needed a solid internet connection. Best Buy had a sale and I went for it. The router is neat and has a small footprint. The setup was very simple and it worked right away with my FiOS internet connection. No special settings or need to wait for the ip to be released. I literally plugged the Ethernet cable from the ONT into the router and minutes later the default wi-fi connection was visible. The router is listed as tri-band but access to the second 5 ghz network is on a hidden menu. I found this out through live chat with a support person. I guess for most people it will be used as a backhaul connection and the other two for devices. I needed the second 5 ghz and I wanted to know why was it advertised as tri-band when only two were available. After that I had no problems until I discovered the range was not as good as the Nighthawk. Some of my devices that are about thirty feet away from the router experienced poor performance from a weak signal. My speed test were an average of 82/87 on a 100/100 connection so that wasn't the problem. The little router just couldn't reach that far. It is my understanding 30 ft isn't a tremendous distance, but it definitely stretched the MR8300 capabilities. After more research this is a known issue. I finally purchased a Velop node to expand the reach which has helped. So I ended up spending what a high end router with extended range would cost. If you have just a few items operating within I say 20 ft of the router you will probably love this device. If you wait for a sale you will be even happier.
