Easy to setup. Extended the range just fine. What I don't like is the separate network that needs to be configured. I ended up going with pods to create a mesh instead. But if you need a simple to use extender, this will do the job just fine.

The range extender works great. My router is in my basement and this boosted the signal to my bedroom on the 2nd floor. The range extender also looks very sleek and is not obtrusive. I do recommend.

After 30 days of use it's still working good. I'm using it to fill in coverage of a large home. Using it in Extender mode, but it can easily be used as an access point also, if plugged into a hard line from the router.

My concern was spending too much money just to extend my wifi in my house. Also the tedious chore of configuration. This one just plugs into the wall and easily extends from your base router. Works on 2.4 as well as 5 transmission. Set up in less than 5 minutes. Solved a problem I was having with my Ring live feed.

You have to move it around a few times to find the optimal spot for it, which was closer to my router than I expected. Once I found the spot, setup was fairly easy and now I forget that it's there. Works great otherwise.

    Discovering Security Code Is Difficult

I would give it a five star rating, but it was difficult to setup. The instructions are not clear about what the security code is going to be. I thought the code would be the same as my router with a couple additional characters at the end. It was not. It was a unique 64 character security code that you had to discover. Once I figured out the code, then it was a pain to enter the 64 character code into the security code setting on the TV and other devices. However, once you have done it the extender works great. I can understand why so many people give up and return the extender saying it doesn't work.

I have one room upstairs that did not have a good signal. Initially, I thought the issue was my router so I purchased an updated model. This did not solve the problem. After a little more research I learned about range extenders. Since I spent a small fortune on another wireless router, I was not looking for something expensive again. This was one of my better purchases. Setup took less than about 10 minutes, including getting the box open and reading the instructions. Once the router found my wireless system, everything worked seamlessly. Family can now watch Netflix, etc upstairs in the room. I am not understanding the reviews stating difficulty with the setup. Set up was pretty straightforward. Follow the directions, however scarce they are, and everything should be fine. Would have given 5 stars but for the price. Maybe I am a little sensitive having already spent money on router.

I have cox panoramic wifi which should be plenty for our small apartment but unfortunately we have breaks in our internet and definite slowing down. So I went to best buy to find our best option. The guy was helpful but also at a loss too of best solution without paying 200 for overkill of less than 600sq ft. So this is what was recommended. I guess maybe I misunderstood what these do maybe? I thought was to ADD on to your existing wifi and boost or extend onto what you already get to make faster and to not get dead spots or slowing. Well thats not quite the scenario here it create an extention off of your wifi. So you have your wifi then this will have your wifi name with ext. Added at end with however much mps. It puts out for this device. So then you can take either devices off your wifi and add to this extension to not have so much on the 1 slowing it down or add more devices to the extension. So he did tell me return was extended until mid January approx. If I wasn't satisfied. So what I did was take 1 phone, 1 tablet, 2 laptops and currently put those on the extender and took off the original wifi. Then for Christmas were adding a nintendo switch, another alexa echo and ill add those to the new extension. And we'll see how it goes. It was pretty easy to set up I did have issues when I took outside of room of our cox router into bedroom which is literally next room over. It wouldn't connect even though it just did in other room. So I left in living room. Its weird the mps changes between 320 to 510 mps randomly within even minutes.. ( even while nothing connected to it.) So ill see how next few weeks go and see if it helps.

We bought this extender because we decided to cut the cord and stream live tv. Our tv downstairs constantly buffered with just our router. I was a little hesitant to buy this extender because of some of the reviews. When I got it home I was able to set it up via my computer within a couple of minutes with no problem. But it started causing buffering on devices that were connected to the main router and the extender. One of the prior reviews mentioned this happened so I went online to Linksys support which advised us on how to place the attached antennas. It helped somewhat but we still had buffering on all of our devices. We had aleady planned on switching our internet provider, so when we change our provider the installer was nice enough to set up our extender on the new internet service and we have had no problems ever since.
