Signal was previously adequate for most purposes but spotty for streaming and video conferencing. Plugged in roughly half way between router and work area seems to have done the trick. This extender seems to have done the trick.

Having trouble getting it to work

It kind of worked then it caused problems such as freezing my internet connection with the message "a device is trying to connect." I said ok but my internet connection froze. Beforehand I got some internet connection in the bedroom but it was very slow. This device may work for some people.

If your RE6300 Extender is properly configured and is relocated to a spot at least 50% from your router's Wi-Fi signal, then it shouldn't freeze your internet connection. Very good at extending range overall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This has extended range to parts of house that previously did not get signal so does what I hoped for -- hopefully cutting down LTE time on phones -- However, sometimes even though light on extender is green and all the bars indicate good signal, still very slow to load a webpage or video or won't. Note also that on initial set-up did not work, even with the green light on the unit showing, so reset to factory settings and that took care of it and it worked right away. Overall, pleased and good deal for price.
