I am very disappointed in this Range extender. I followed the instructions. I tried several times. My devices reconise that it is available. It has a security code that it is supposed to also reconise to allow the devices to be used. That security code does NOT work. Rendering this a a $$ Paper weight.

I've only had my watch 45 days and although the power saving feature is always on, the battery has already over heated and charge won't last what the watch says it will.. Starts out the day saying will last 18 hours, by 130 to 3 pm, says less than three hours left, if I'm lucky. ....

I received the Linksys RE6300 AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender for free from Linksys to give my review on the product. The product works as stated and has increased the strength of my wifi signal on the opposite side of the house. The router is in the living room at the back of the house and the signal is now strong through the front garage and into the driveway (home is single story 2,300 sq ft). Set up only took a few minutes through a tablet browser. The spot finder was good for setting up where to place the extender. The settings are sometimes hard to access. At times it says not connected or gets an error. Besides the settings menu the product works fine and extends the range nicely.

I was a bit nervous from reading the reviews at first but I ordered this product online and it was delivered to my door in less than 24 hours. My first attempt to use the quick WPS set up failed but only because I plugged it in too far away (nope, did not read directions first!). Once I plugged it in next to my router and hit the WPS buttons quickly connected. Then I properly moved it further from based. The extended Wifi is great! Prior to this, normally I would only had two bars anywhere I would go in the home. Now the entire 2,000 sq ft house, two car garage and back porch have full strength! And I have a very noticeable difference working on my computer and internet. Very nice product - one week in and still going strong. The only complaint I have - my cat likes to rearrange the antennas;) Linksys really needs to create a fix for that! haha

I bought this router extender to reach from one corner of the house to the other. My router (Linksys - Max-Stream AC1750) is in the living room where I need to connect it to the cable modem. My internet speeds are supposed to be 100mbps through Spectrum internet (however I am skeptical about what the actual speeds are... sketchy Spectrum...) I bought the AC1750 router because I originally thought that it alone should reach my office in the opposite corner of the house, didn't happen. That's when I decided to get the extender thinking it was a "sure fix/solution"... I plugged in the extender and got it all set up (very easy to set up) and then moved it to a point that was a little closer than halfway between the router and my office. I am not sure exactly how the signal works, but there was 1 or 2 walls and/or a floor between the router and extender. Then 1 thin wall between extender and computer, new Xbox One X, and new LG Smart TV... What I found: -If I have more than a couple devices active at one time, forget gaming, Netflix, and/or downloading or sending/receiving data on my computer. -Even if my Xbox One X is the only device running and set as the top prioritized device, I still experience terrible lag. I constantly test my multiplayer connection through the Xbox settings and one second it will say "Connection is fine" and I'll literally retest connection 5 minutes later for it to say "You have a problem with your connection" (or something to that extent). -Nothing like trying to watch Netflix on a 65in 4k ultra HD tv with HDR for the movie to go blurry every 5-10 minutes and sometimes having to reload (same circumstance as above with no other devices active). Things I suspect: -I typically only get to play when my kids are napping. Napping requires baby monitors. I suspect the signals from the monitors are disrupting the Wifi signals... -Spectrum is terrible and I really only get 5-10mbps regardless of my paying for 100mbps. -My house is secretly a mansion and I don't know it. Which is why I can't get signal from opposite corners of the mansion, I mean house. -Aliens are transmitting radio waves on a frequency to disrupt humans every day lives on earth. -This extender (and router for that matter) just don't perform like it says... Regardless of who's fault it is, I don't feel like calling customer service and tweeking MAC addresses, IP addresses, WIP keys, and all those other technical "tricks" blah blah blah... I'd rather just return the product and try a new one. This is easier than speaking to "Frank" with a foreign accent for an hour and a half and getting nowhere. I'm an accountant with a higher than average understanding of electronics (I'd like to think) and I am looking for something that's a little more "plug and play".... Hope this helps someone out there....

This extender did nothing to solve our network problem. At this point I feel the problem is with the internet service provider. It worked to boost signal to places where signal was weaker as diagnosed by the provider, however it didn't solve the sudden lost connection issues we were constantly having. I did return the device, as it was not the fix I needed, however it did what was described on the package.

Older son was having connection issues with his Xbox to our wireless network. His bedroom is the farthest from the router and some of the games need every bit of the bandwidth that is possible to maintain connection and reduce ping. Decided to give this a shot, as it was one of the lower priced extender options available. Connecting to our router took a few attempts...not sure if it was me making a mistake or if the instructions were clunky. At any rate, did get it working and I haven't heard screams of anguish from upstairs anymore, well....other than when some other team destroys his team in Call of Duty.

Got this to extend the range for a Roku 4. The Apple BaseStation was too far away from where the Roku was so this was suppose to work with any wireless router so I tried it. I was easy to set up and the app made it easy to find a good spot to put where it would give the max signal to the Roku.

    Easy Setup Fix Dead Spot

Setup was extremely easy. Just a few question ( 5 or 6) answer on my phone and done. Antennas are great as they rotate 360 degrees so I can point them where ever I need them, this make the process of finding the correct outlet less difficult for me. Also this is a true extender. IP address on my devices stay the same when using the extender. I really love this Extender.. Now I have no more dead spots..

Pretty decent little extender. I wanted something that would be fairly quick and easy to set up and use. This device gave me exactly that. Setup was pretty easy and deployment couldn't possibly be any easier (just plug it in). Both 2.4 and 5 GHz are extended as far as I needed them to be, the extended signal is strong where I needed it to be, and I haven't had to reset the device once. All in all, an excellent extender for the price.

This product was easy to set up. I use it for an upstairs location, and it has improved the signal 3-fold, I usually get an excellent connection rating from the Wi-Fi signal indicator. This product has performed as expected. Some elements of the unit are not explained in the provided instructions. There is an Ethernet connection access port, but it does not state if it is for receiving or sending a digital signal, nor the purpose of the accessory.

      Hi, Outlander,

We’re delighted to know about your experience with the product. To address your concern regarding the Ethernet port’s functionality, it is used for connecting any Ethernet-enabled device to the network using either a Cat 5 or 6 Ethernet cable. It will illuminate green when a device is connected and active. It will also blink when sending or receiving data over the Ethernet port.

Let us know if you have further questions. Send us an email at [email protected] and include your contact details, the title and link to this review for our reference.

This thing was a life saver for us. Our bedroom for some reason gets a terrible WiFi signal, even though it’s a clear path to the router with the door open. We’ve tried multiple devices/TVs and it’s all the same. Something weird about that room. We put this thing in the outlet closest to our bedroom door and boom! The problem was instantly fixed. No more lagging tv/streaming. Super simple setup. I will say it’s got some size to it, but it’s not massive. But all in all, it made the wifey very happy, so I’m happy too!

A boost in performance was what I was looking for and this extender did provide it, but I was disappointed it just how much improvement I was able to achieve. Installation was fairly simple and straightforward which for some reviewers it was a problem. It did take two attempts to be recognized but the difficulty was finding a suitable location. My home is relatively small for the claimed area of coverage. The challenge my floor plan presents is the house is "L" shaped with brick walls. My Linksys router is in the tip of the short length of the "L" and the improvement was needed in the farthermost tip of the long side of the "L". No location along the longer side received a strong enough signal to be suitable for the set up software to approve. The final location I had to settle on was in the next room at the apex of the "L" which kind of makes sense logically but I would have preferred going closer to the rooms down the hall. At any rate the signal is improved and streaming is much better in the bedrooms down the hall as well as game play for our son.

We have wireless satellite internet, company provided router. The extender has helped keep the signal strength even through the house. Set up was easy, and you can then move around the house until you find the best balance/range.Between a PS4 and an Xbox 1, a bunch of phones, and tablets, every one gets a good signal to play or watch what they want.
