The only thing is I had to set 5GHz channel manually to be extended by this range extender.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hard to really tell how well this unit works in our house . we currently have 2-3 bars of WIFI in the room that we were trying to get better WIFI into , but had 2-3 bars of WIFI in the room prior to adding this unit . It may keep a steadier rate of WIFI in that room . It was easy to set up and add security . We have a block wall house and I know that WIFI does not work well in that environment .

Physical obstructions such as thick walls may cause a connection concern from your router to the Linksys RE6300. Thus, you may try relocating the Linksys RE6300, and you may optimise its spot finder technology feature. Make sure to place it in between the router and the area without wireless connection. I have had to restart it a couple times in 3 weeks but could be any number of things other than the unit itself.

I set this up following the easy instructions and have been enjoying seem less wifi for streaming shows and movies.

Range Extenders are a thing of the past

Spend the extra money and invest in Linksys mesh wifi products. We ultimately ended up returning this for the tri-band mesh system. The extender made things better in our condo, but did not meet our expectations.
