Best mesh system I've had!

This mesh router system has amazing range! I was struggling to get Wi-Fi to reach my detached garage where my home office is located which is about 83ft away from where the house is, and the next closest node. I was using Google Wi-Fi mesh nodes before, and it worked for a few months then the signal wasn't strong enough to reach anymore. I was only getting about 20mbps download and about 3mbps upload speeds when the connection was strong, but with the Linksys mesh network I am getting speeds of over 200mbps in the same spot! I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a speedy connection, and an easy setup!

4 months of usage so far ao good. I have not had any faulty connections, I do have 1Gig downloads and my numbers are up there, but I have a 2400 sqft home with 2 levels and it covers my house and the yard with no issues. I have the best buy membership and though with the 60 days resturn policy i would returned it if need it but im keeping them they have worked great so far no issues. Yes my son is a gamer and my house is really a wifi operated home everything powered by my network. Anyways Linksys has build their name and brand for a reason they make good products.

Utter trash, wifi drops alot, Ethernet drops a lot. App SUCKS! why does it seem to want to log me out of the app every do often, and have extremely specific password requirements that you WILL NOT REMEMBER. this is the second Linksys that's disappointed me. Do yourself a favor and buy literally any other brand. Look at the photos that I'm adding. my $160.google wifi was league's ahead and I regret this purchase. This will absolutely go back to the store.

WiFi 6 now, recommend Atlas Max 6e Future Proof

Linksys has a long history providing networking gear that just works. The Atlas Pro 6 Dual-Band WiFi is no different.
Velop Intelligent Mesh takes much of the headache out of router setup, Channel selection, etc. Something I wish my prosumer Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro hardware did (in favor of extreme flexibility by IT network managers) Linksys intended for home use and couldn’t be easier to use.
Where this really shines is with WiFi 6 devices, aka iPhone 11 and newer, Apple TV, M1 MacBook Family, as well as similar offerings from other manufacturers.
My only hesitation in investing at this time might be pending adoption of WiFi 6E, which uses the 6 MHz band, though widespread products are likely still a year or more away. If you’re buying this for future proofing instead opt for the Atlas Max 6e tri- band over the Pro dual-band.
Pros
+ Velop Intelligent Mesh
+ 802.11ax - AX5400
+ 30 devices per node (90 total)
+ 160 MHz ultra-wide bandwidth
+ 8100 sq foot house range
+ DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection)
+ excellent coverage range
+ 3 Ethernet ports hardwired
+ easy to use Linksys App
+ great for newer WiFi 6 devices
+ expandability (add a node)
Cons
-nodes need power (PoE preferred)
-feels slightly plasticky, no heft
-antennas could be stronger
-limited availability to troubleshoot overlapping frequencies
-price
Conclusion
Linksys Atlas Pro 6 is one of the best options for set-in and forget-it installations. This set is AX5400 and screamingly fast with WiFi 6 devices. My only reason for not suggesting it a buy is bc Atlas Max 6e is more future-proofed.
Recommended : Buy the Atlas Max AXE 8400 6e (though double the price)

I see a lot of hate in the negative reviews. I like most people go to the negative first to see the ugly before I buy, especially with something I haven’t tried yet, like mesh.
I’ve suffered years of WiFi issues due to the design of my house. What would work for most people has never worked for my WiFi needs. My home is only 2600 feet but is solid concrete, double insulation and a L shape design. So through the years I’ve had everything from just bad WiFi, double WiFi networks that still have dead spots, I’ve had WiFi extenders that were a good idea but terrible execution and I’ve retroactively ran Ethernet cable through my house. I eventually went to a netgear nighthawk x10 which was the only single network WiFi that covered most of my home. I still had dead spots in my bedroom and I had to run a dedicated hardline out to my shop to have internet out there.
Enter this Linksys, I waited with mesh to give the technology time to develop. When I bought this, the model was fairly new but the technology is not. As much as I liked netgear for my last WiFi experience, their version of mesh has many complaints for dropping/connectivity/ease of use. It didn’t seem like they invested in creating a newer better model like everyone else in the mesh game. I primarily got this one because of all the Ethernet ports, cheaper the model, fewer the ports (I’m sure that’s not the only difference).
It was very easy to set up, the app was simple (unlike a review I read) and I was set up in less than 30 minutes. It took me longer to read the instructions and unbox than actual setup (which is all through the app).
A month in and my transfer speeds are faster than the internet I pay for no matter where I am in the house. I have internet everywhere on my property, not just in the house and the shop. I wish I would have gone this route earlier, but I’m very happy with my first mesh experience.
On the network I’ve got 4 gaming devices (5 if we count Nintendo), a NAS running Plex, 3 smart tv’s, everyone has their own tablet or laptop and all the smartphones. I haven’t run a smart home system yet, but this doesn’t even stutter with all of us going at the same time.

Was looking for a mesh network to complement new Fios router that didnt broadcast as strong advertised for home/office space approx 2500sqft. Set up of the parent/main node connected to router and 1st child node was fairly simple. First set up a new WiFi name to test separately from home network. All good, and then just used app to update to use home network name and pw. The only issue was setting up the second child. Multiple resets of the node were done, but app could not locate device. Node had correct light, but couldn't be found. Finally contacted LinkSys support. Tried chat but it connected me to sales. They provided link to tech chat but it never connected. Called 800 number provided. Reached support after 8 min hold, but call was dropped. Second call placed and reached very helpful tech that provided alternate solution. LinkSys should consider posting it as it was very simple. Five quick presses of the parent node reset button. In any case, parent and child nodes work very well and signals are very strong in the far corners of the space. No real documentation included other than guide to device light. There should a QR link to full documentation. Customers should not have to go looking for this information. Also, the link in the app to support when its trying to connect to a node only opens an email to send the install log, but link reads " Call us..." The app overall is very good. You can easily identify all devices and on what node they are connected, and the admin and advanced options are helpful and clear.

Best Mesh Wireless under $500

Setup was easy. I just downloaded the Linksys App and followed a few prompts. The wireless nodes are simple. You connect the first one where your internet modem comes in the home with the included network cable. Then in the APP hit setup new network. Look for the purple dot and the magic happens. Create a Linksys account so you can continue the configuration.
Then Add your wireless network name and password. Pick the room name for your node. This is helpful when locating them later on. Proceed with the Add a Node next for the remaining 2 nodes. I put one in the front of my house in my office. The 2nd in the Rear family room and the 3rd in the upstairs family room. This gave me solid coverage for all of our smart home devices and the best signal where we are the most.
Performance:
This offered slightly better performance for my newer devices like my MSI Raider Notebook, Iphone 12 Pro, Apple TV. These felt a little more responsive than my previous gen Linksys Velop series. I feel you hit a point that your internet speed is only so fast.
30' away on Iphone 12 pro with Wifi testing app
Old Linksys Velop was 520 mbps throughput
New Linksys Atlas Pro was 733 mbps throughput
Pro's:
Speed of setup
More reliable speed 30' from nearest node over previous gen.
Each Node has built in 3 port hub for wired devices.
Cons:
The Nodes still cannot be wall mounted
Power is proprietary vs POE options
Expensive for smaller homes
In Summary this is a great wireless system. I strongly recommend it for ease of use and performance. If you have power, internet and a phone your set.

This is the best mesh system I have bought to date. It exceeded my expectations. It works so well that I have ordered it again for my home. The first system was purchased for use in the church I attend (seats approximately 150 in sanctuary and 125 in fellowship hall). It also reaches up to 50' outside the building. A weak signal was found more than 300' away and when another extender was added that weak signal was boosted to full strength. So, I intend to purchase 2 more units to extend the network outside the building to reach all of our out buildings. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Wow, I’m impressed. We are now getting the speed we have been paying for all these years. Speeds now are 380-470 Mbps vs before about 80-150. I highly recommend this system - its expensive but you get what you pay for in this instance.
We replaced a Linksys 4 station mesh network that we purchased about 4 years ago. We have a 6,000 sq ft home, 3 floors 2,000 sq feet each. Three nodes instead of four bothered me, but not a problem - one on each floor. Dual band not Tri band bothered me, but no problem at all. We have a lot of apple devices, plus thermostats (3), printer, etc.. Looking at the Linksys app now, we have 25 devices connected to these 3 nodes. The speed increase we are experiencing is unbelievable. The setup was very easy. Each node takes a little time to connect - ie 3 minutes or so. My next feat will be to connect one of the child nodes directly via an ethernet cable.
We have Comcast cable and pay for a higher internet speed. Internet speed to the house, measured by the Linksys app is 470 Mbps.

Very easy to install using the app. Primary use is home and single office. Have child nodes about 30 feet from parent. Have yet to test max range with devices. All devices in house are connected and running fine. Ran speed test to see what type of data we were getting using built in wifi in computer. About 100 mbps to server in Pittsburgh, 65 mbps to Canton, Oh. Wish I had run numbers before taking old system apart. Each node has ethernet ports. Plugged into port and ran test. Speed to Pitt went up to 450 mbps and Canton went to 160 mbps. Expensive? Expensive, not if it is doing what you need. Range extenders never seem to work well for me.

After owning previous Linksys routers and having good luck with them I decided to stick with the same brand and purchase this new 3-pack mesh router. I had the app and was familiar on how to work it and set it up. As mention this is 3 pack system, and I could not get one of the nodes to connect. In speaking with the customer service (open 24 hrs/365) we figured out that I had a defective node. My options were that they could send me one node or I could return the system. I decided to return the 3-node system and buy it at another/different BB again (I bought the last one on Christmas promotion, which I knew when bought it the day before). I Installed the new 3-pack with the help of the app with no troubles.
Compared to the previous generation, this new system gave me stronger wifi signals on all connected devices no matter where placement. Also has more plugs where you can hard wire your internet devices into the back of the node, previous generation only had one. As an added plus in keeping the same brand, I was able two hook up older Linksys nodes with the help of customer support (one node went bad after five years) from the earlier generation router.
Side note, I was still able to get a wifi signal throughout my two story home only on the working two nodes for the one night it was installed, this showcased its range to me which was the deciding factor on exchanging it for its replacement. The coverage now is amazing, able to move freely through out the house and yard without dropping a signal. The home IT guy/repairman (Dad) has one less thing to he does not have to fix or worry about.

I've had these for over a month now, and it's totally cured the WIFI dead spots in my 7000 square foot house. Really like the Linksys app as it was very east to set up my primary WIFI, and guest WIFI. Absolutely love that each of these has 4 ethernet ports which allowed me to connect my smart tv's and other entertainment devices directly, thus limiting overall WIFI traffic in my house. I almost went with the Netgear Mobi counterpart, but didn't because these seemed to be a little bit smaller (though I'm sure the Mobi's are fine too) which I like. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought these to upgrade a 3+ year old Linksys mesh system and the speed and signals are great. I actually tried eero pro 6E mesh before buying these and they were so slow, web pages would take 30-60 seconds to load, if they would load at all so returned them and stuck with Linksys. I would recommend these as they have been great over the first few days, especially compared to the garbage eero pro 6E mesh.

We're having all sorts of connectivity issues with all our Google Home and Sonus devices. Not sure if there is a router issue or something else ... that's why this review is only 4 stars ... can't enthusiastically endorse something I'm not sure is working correctly. When we have connected, there seems to be no lapses (which is what I would like from a mesh system.)

this is a great set of mesh. the range is very good and the units are fast. it's also one of the few units, besides asus, that let's you name your 2.4ghz and 5ghz separately. other brands just name then for you and "hope"for the best, in terms of connection. i prefer to connect my devices manually to whatever network i want them to connect to.
