Nice item but issue with your internal staff. They said take it home and plug it in away you go. Ahhh not really. Talked with geek squad they said for $150 they can come out. OUTRAGEOUS

This is an excellent choice for a router to connect to your high-speed internet that will provide an all around solid fast connection for most devices. This router like as is stated in the specs provides excellent coverage for a single floor home with standard walls. Obviously if you have more walls in between your router and where it will be used the 5ghz band will diminish performance slightly. For everyday use like streaming and gaming this router would be perfect for an apartment or smaller home or larger home in a single floor setup. I added this router to my existing mesh network to provide stronger coverage in the office where I have my computers connected wirelessly and it works wonderful! I moved the node that was previously servicing this area to a different part of the house and now have better coverage outside of my home and upstairs. Speeds run a solid gigabit transferring to a wired computer. Specs of 3000mbps definitely seem spot on in good conditions and I'm considering switching all my computers to wireless where WiFi is faster than wired gigabit ethernet. In terms of setup, using the app is best and Linksys makes this a snap so that literally anyone can do it without any technical know how. Setting it up a s child node to an existing network is just as easy as setting it up to be a parent node, very impressed! Linksys does offer support so if you do get stuck they will help and there's plenty of info on their website with tons of FAQ's with guidance. Advanced users who want to tweak more than just standard port forwarding settings or those who wish to configure advanced services like VPN will want to look at other routers better suited to that. But, it does support forwarding and several other more advance routing features should need those for gaming or sharing outside your home network. For the hardware, the footprint is small and it can be mounted and placed in just about any location nearby power (like if you are using it as a node). It does have gigabit ethernet connections 4 downlink ports and 1 WAN port. It has a USB port for connecting a hard drive to which makes it easy to share media/files across your network as your own personal cloud or media server. Note though if you use it as a child node the USB port doesn't work and only is supported on the parent node. It doens't have a built in media server or FTP server so will only function for local file sharing. Overall, this router is great and has the latest tech so I'd recommend it! If you want to expand your existing WiFi 6 network (802.11ax) this router is a great option for that, as it will do that well and provide decent coverage as a node. It also would be great as a parent node in a smaller home network with a smaller number of devices connecting and smaller coverage need and will do that well.
