One of the best I've ever used

I received this Modem as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback of this product. I was a Cox Communications premier package customer. I had no issues with my old modem which was a Motorola SURFboard SB6182 (8x4 channel bonding) prior to Linksys reaching out to me. I'll begin with the Cox representative telling me that I "have an excellent modem for our ultimate package" when I called to have it activated on my account. I was told by multiple people that I had talked to prior to receiving the unit that it would blow my old SB6182 out of the water., Indeed it has. my internet speeds with the SB6182 my internet speeds were around 122MB download about 8MB upload. my internet speeds with the Linksys CM3024 my speeds went up to 133MB download 11MB upload when streaming on multiple devices with the SB, there would be a buffer here and a buffer there on all streams. With the CM3024 none of the devices buffer when the others are streaming, everything I threw at it, speed tests, streaming, gaming, downloading and, even uploading were all better than the SB. after a few days with the premier package I upgraded to the Ultimate package just to take it for a test drive. this modem has met and then quickly exceeded my expectations.

I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my feedback. The setup was easy and took about 10 min. The service provider's activation web page took about 5 min to activate. The download/upload speed is as good or better than my last modem Motorola/Arris Surfboard SB6141.

    Big Difference

I received this modem as part of Linksys Friends & Family Program for my review. This modem replaced a Zoom 3.0 Series 1094 for Cox. It was a breeze to set up with easy to understand directions and no complications. I didn't think I would notice much of a difference but I did. Using the Hulu & Netflix app through my Xbox One S always had many episodes of buffering to the point I wouldn't watch movies through those apps much. But with the new modem there is no longer moments of buffering during movie play. I would recommend this modem as I am very happy with it.

Linksys CM3024 Is Excellent Cable Modem

I received this modem as part of Linksys Friends & Family Program for my review. It replaced an older Linksys CM100 modem. I have been using Linksys products since 1999. The installation was quick & easy with my Suddenlink internet provider. I have 10 computers on a wired network. Windows10, Windows7 & Windows XP computers. I immediately noticed they all were preforming much faster when accessing the internet with several different browsers. With this new modem there was quick buffering of videos and then they ran to the end without any pausing. As I transfer files back & forth between work & home there was also faster upload & download speeds with the CM3024 Modem. Thanks Linksys for another great product that saves me money, since I don't have to rent an inferior cable company modem.

    Linksys Friends + Family Program

I am apart of the Linksys Friends + Family Program. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my feedback. I recently had a Motorola Surfboard Modem SB6183. I was sent this Linksys Modem CM3024. The LinkSys modem is by far the best modem I've ever owned. It blows other modems out of the water. I have experienced no connection drops, in fact, the Linksys actually gives my internet speed a boost. I am currently running 60 MBPS and the modem will boost 5-10 MBPS higher than what I actually have. I stream movies and play a lot of gaming. This modem has made the quality for streaming superb. I would recommend this modem over any other. If you use a lot of streaming or WiFi with moderate to advanced speeds , this modem is for you. A+++

I replaced a Moto 8 x 4 modem on Xfinity. This one finally gets the speeds I've been paying for. Even on wireless I get the paid 300 Mbps down 25 Mbps up. Set up was a quick call to register Mac address, model number and provision the modem. Very happy with the results.

    modem maximizes my streaming experience

I was asked by Linksys to give my honest opinion of the CM3024 modem in return for a free sample of this product. I have always used Linksys routers with positive results and was interested in seeing if their modems would provide similar performance. I wasn't disappointed. Setup was easy, I only had to call my ISP (Charter) and give them the modem's MAC address after I had swapped out the modems (a simple plug and play exchange). The biggest difference I have seen is in streaming Netflix to my TV. Screen freeze ups and buffering issues are a thing of the past. This modem maximizes my streaming experience.

    Decent modem, excellent spped

So I have used this modem for about 1-month now to let it settle in and see if it suffered any quirks. I am pleased to say that all the issues I used to have with Linksys modems seem to be worked out. Speed held stable over the whole 4 weeks, no resets, no drop outs, and on a side not less intense LED's but that might just be a comparison with the surfboard it is replacing. Only major issue for me was that it is NOT wall-mount capable and the base is attached so you MUST use it upright. It uses an Intel based chip which I was eager to test out and it seems to hold up well however the latency issue that is reported does pop up after long game sessions, this is a nit-pick at best as it never gets unmanageable and still does better than a Comcast rental modem. Last part and perhaps the most annoying, I got unlucky with Comcast on activation and it took awhile to get through the low-level call people to get someone that A) Knew that you didn't HAVE to use their modem and B) needed to flash the modem on their network to register for use. This was my first time hitting this problem so your experience may vary, but just in case, know that you CAN own your modem and use it on their service. (like it says on the box)

No better than the Cisco modem

I did not get any better speeds or anything than the Cisco modem Cox provides. It is also no better than the 2 year old Arris modem I have.
