Constantly Losing Power - UNSTABLE GARBAGE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BEWARE! This sparkly piece of **** started having issues with maintaining power not 6 months after purchase. If you read other reviews, its a common issue for the router to lose internet connection entirely and power off frequently. Don't let the lower 6E price tag fool you. We checked the outlet, bought a new power cable rated for this, had our ISP do everything possible, and it boils down to hardware failure. First time buying LINKSYS in years, and now i remember why I left. Thank god i got the warranty, wish I had got the shorter year plan, as this one barely lasted 6 months. BEWARE OF LINKSYS - DON'T BUY THEIR ROUTERS.

Posted .Hi, Texas.
Objects such as walls, bodies of water like aquariums, and other wireless devices may affect the quality and actual coverage of the Wi-Fi signal. You can try relocating the router to a more open area and check if it has the latest firmware, and observe the network's stability.
For further assistance, shoot us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com along with your contact details and a link to your post for reference.

Very limited controls
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cannot change the wifi channel, channel width or the wifi mode. I Have a ticket open with linksys. The auto channel select sucks. I have a EA9500 and a WRT3200 that I can select the channels and channel width and both routers are outperforming this one!

With great potential, the worst router ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe it. I was aware of some limitations with 2.4ghz and 5ghz, but the 6ghz band was supposed to work as good as the other players. Well, what's the point of having a fully capable 6ghz router if you can't manually set the channel bandwidth to 160mhz and then pick your preferred channel? The router only allows me to manually choose up to 80mhz bandwidth on 6ghz, which is extremely bizarre to say at least. How can a $500 router be so extremely limited when it comes to settings? I don't even like many settings but to choose the channel width is something super basic and essential, plus if the router uses 160mhz automatically (but it picks the crappy channel 33), why can I set it up manually? Beyond absurd. Very upset because now I have to return a router that could have been awesome otherwise....

Posted .Hi,
Thank you for letting us know about this. By design, the router will automatically use the 160 Mhz network if there's no interference. Moreover, manually setting it might cause more issues especially when the connection is unstable. Should you wuis to discuss this further, email LinksysCares@linksys.com with the link to your review for reference. Our 2nd Level Team is always ready to lend a hand.

Almost no bang for your bucks!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor performance across the board: drops 2-3 times a day, knocks phones & laptops off the network randomly, signal quality degrades very rapidly with distance... Overall, very poor performance. Absolutely NOT worth $500, not even $200 IMO. Sadly, the $100 3-year old Linksys wireless router it was supposed to replace runs circles around it in signal quality, reach and stability.

Major design flaw causing over heating
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it is functioning, it works as intended. However the firmware uodate proces is broken as it will claim to have the latest when newer firmware is available. Prone to overheating regardless of load when connected to a 5 gigabit connection. When reported to Linksys, they said 80F temps are unusual and to keep a fan on it. This is Texas. Were 80F for most of the year.

Posted .Hi Duckie,
One of the primary reasons routers overheat is insufficient ventilation. Place the router in an open area with good airflow, ensuring there's enough space on all sides to facilitate air circulation. For further assistance, feel free to send us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com providing your case number, contact details and link to this review so we can have our Escalation Engineers thoroughly investigate the issue.

Not Worth Your Time & Money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been a Linksys customer for years, but this product sealed the deal of no longer buying their routers. It wouldn’t even go into setup mode. After calling the their help line, they were unable to help. I even called my internet provider and they were unable to discover it on the network. I returned it and switched over to NETGEAR, and was instantly happier.

This router don't have DDNS services built-in
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to replace an old router. I'm thinking since this router is new and with state of the art new features like 6 Hz band and 2.5 gigabits Ethernet port and unbelievable. That for sure it will provide user with a DDNS services. Wrong this router doesn't have that feature available hence the reason for the return. I really wanted to keep it because is loaded with the latest feature but not having DDNS service available was a deal breaker.

Hail the Hydra!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Linksys - Hydra Pro Wifi 6E Tri-Band Router is only limited by internet availability and user preferences. Setup for the Linksys pro was easy… yet gruesomely difficult at the same time depending on circumstance. So you’ve got your modem, you plug in the Linkysis. It gets power, you see the purple setup light – good to go right? The setup book requests you download the Linkysis app… but how do I download the app without the internet? This is probably the largest UHM moment of setup and I’ll be honest, I was switching routers to do this so if I needed worst case I just plug in the old router, but this is just one of those modern day problems, where you go to set up something to give you internet but requires the internet to setup. Legitimately, the area I live in has poor cellphone service, and took me about 5mins to download the app with my cell service with no WiFi was active. Just something to consider, download the application before taking down your old router or have an area with good internet to download with the phone. Once again, a silly situation, but just one of those moments. Anyway, app is downloaded, make an account within 5 minutes router is up and ready for device connect. Very simple process, almost too simple? You make a router name and password, and this automatically applies to the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. To connect, simply connect your devices to your router name, enter the password, and good to go. Oddly, it seems that default settings will automatically connect you to the most advanced channel your device can go to. My iPhone connected 5GHz while my watch got internet through my phones connection and was placed on the 2.4GHz. There is an option within the application to change the individual names, which I would assume allow for individual selection of connection; however, I wanted to keep mine simple for my needs. This goes into the simplistically of the device in my first statement, limitation of user preferences. Compared to my previous router, I feel “anyone” could set up this router. Which, for being a top of the line, expense bearing device that is awesome in my opinion; however, I know some technology folks who would HATE this aspect. Access of the router settings is through an APP and once again, I know people who would GAWK at the idea of this. Not having only hardwired access would be a security nightmare in some people’s minds. This application is very simple to use and has a clean appearance. This is a great feature in my mind, as it allows my wife to be able to control the router without much knowledge at all. There is a setting to “manage your kids online” that allows for a scheduled pause in connectivity or website blocking by device which is awesome for a household. You want the Xbox to stop at 10pm? Sure, no more Warzone. You want to make a guest internet, where people cannot see your computers or storage, absolutely an option with a simple on/off toggle and settings. Lots of devices? You may set priority for 3 that you want to get the most priority. Parents can have that intense gaming and 4k streaming, then worry about if others get their Netflix or not. The speed. I did get a slight boost in my speeds between my previous router and the Linksys. I have included images of the speed test for both labeled. This once again goes toward my first statement; the limitation of the Linksys is internet availability. My internet is the 150Mbps option, so anything other than that we are pulling strings from the internet gods. Slight increase in download speed overall. I am not able to speak to the multi-gigabit claims of the router, as the area I’m in has limited this aspect. Overall, I did not lose speed and was enabled with an app for easy household control. This router is quite the investment, but also has great features and the Linksys mesh hookups help to enable larger homes. One last aspect, with my previous router I will drop WiFi in my master bathroom; with the Linksys, connectivity was maintained. So overall, a stronger strength throughout (and outside even) the house.
