Use Now and Invest In Your Future
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router offers up to 6G of WiFi speed. This means you can stream more devices and up to 8K movies with no problems. The older routers just aren’t going to be able to handle all that is coming out now and in the very near future. I find it important to keep up with the times to avoid any hassle that newer devices may have with your current router. I have pretty much always had Linksys routers and have found them to be a reliable source for my WiFi needs. Setup was easy for me with the Linksys app. You need to download the app onto your phone and follow the instructions. It was very simple for me. Once that is done, the app will also let you choose devices that are priority. If you mostly use your living room TV to stream, you may want to choose that as a priority and you won’t have to worry about losing the WiFi signal. I have found that playing around with the antennae is a BIG part of getting the best signal possible. You have a problem with a device, try adjusting the antennae. This has cleared up any problem areas I have had. This router looks sleek. It is a tri band router, which means you have three different bands for WiFi bandwidth, 2.4 GHz, 5 Ghz, and 6 Ghz. This router is good for up to 2700 square feet. Most households will just need this one router, but if you find it is not working in a room or you are not getting a good signal you can just add a Linksys Velop node to the router wirelessly and your problem is likely solved. A Linksys Velop node can also become handy if used with this router for devices you may have in a garage or security cameras a distance away like I have. You have more channels to handle more devices(this states that it can take up to 53 devices). I have over 40 different devices that rely on WiFi and find that this works much better than my 2 year old router that only covered 1600 square feet and had problems with a couple of security cameras (I think due to lag) that I have a distance away. Devices don’t seem to drop the signal, as they had been doing with my older router. I highly recommend this router if you are looking toward your future to handle more devices added to your home. I found newer devices that I “had to have”, but knew that my old router had reached its limit. Now this will handle more as needed and cut out the lag time on anything I have or will get as they come out on the market. This particular router is sooooo worth the money and a must if you are big on buying the latest and greatest devices as they come out onto the market or are just sick of all the lag time that you are now experiencing. I highly recommend it! I think of all the new devices coming out on the market constantly and knew I had to have this as a future investment.

Linksys has done it again!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the range on this one. I was to disconnect my range extender. I am getting fast speeds on all my devices. The WIFI 6 is amazing. I had bad experience with tech support my 5ghz channel not working and still not working after 2 hour tech support call. It may be bad on that channel. But it still does the job. Setup was quick and easy through app. All in all its a speed demon.

Nice router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace my router, and since I've been very happy with it, I decided to get another Linksys. And since I wanted it to be as future-proof as possible, I decided on the Hydra Pro 6E. First, let me say this is a nice router. It has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a top-tier router and it's fast! But it has 2 aces up its sleeve--mesh and 6E. If needed to extend Wi-Fi in your house/business, mesh networks are amazing. You'll just need to purchase an additional Velop node. Wi-Fi 6E, while it promises much faster speeds, is most likely not something you'll be able to use right out of the box. There just aren't many devices that support the new standard yet. The Samsung S21 supports it, as well as a couple other phones. But as the year goes by, expect to see laptops and other devices come on board. The bottom line with the Hydra Pro is that it's future proof. It does everything expected from a great router; it's easy to set up, it's fast, it has all the required ports, and it supports mesh. But we won't get to see what it's really capable of until we get more devices that support 6E. But if you need a router, why not go with something that is future proof...and a company that has a great reputation with routers?

Best router I've owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received a free test product to use for this review and I have to say, I'd happily pay for it if I hadn't! This thing is a beast. It's super fast and has a huge range. It's equipped to support so many devices that lag has not yet been a factor at all, no matter how much streaming/gaming/video calls are happening simultaneously. I am super happy with this product, highly recommend!!

Impressive Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received a free sample of the Linksys Hydra Pro 6E Twi-band Mesh WiFi Router to review and have been using it for a few days. So far, I'm very impressed. The setup was quick and easy. I downloaded the app and followed the instructions, which were clear and easy to understand. The entire process took less than 20 minutes. The range is significantly better than our previous router. We frequently lost connection upstairs because the signal was not strong enough. We have had no connection issues with the Hydra Pro 6E with several people gaming, streaming and working at the same time. We have a home media server and the gigabit Ethernet port allows for incredibly fast data transfer. The improved signal strength has also helped boost the download and upload speeds throughout the house. We have two people working from home so a fast internet connection is a necessity. This router allows us to work without interruptions or lag time. It's been a huge improvement. Using the 6GHz band on our compatible devices has greatly increased the overall network performance. For all of our other devices (that are not WiFi 6 compatible), the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands also work great. I really like that it works with all of our devices, new and old. I would recommend this router to anyone who wants a fast, powerful connection.

Incredible router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it comes to routers in my home, it's important that there be one that everyone, including guests, have a solid connection just due to how much we use electronic devices for everyday life. Not only because of everyday work or home related tasks, but also just for leisure as well. This router by Linksys exceeds in performance not only by providing fast and reliable WiFi connection, but also allows a great number of connected devices without compromising speed. To put this into perspective, there roughly 20 wireless devices in my home, not including guests. Now, of course, not all of them are being used at the same time, though it is "normal" to have 10 to 15 devices connected at the same time during my evenings. When this is occurring, I have yet to experience a drop in speed/loading on any device, including smart TVs, laptops/tablets, game consoles, and wireless phones. This is already on top of smart home devices that are always connected. So, basically I have enough devices for a small family, and if I had a large family at home, I suspect I would not experience any significant dip in speed. I do have "gigabit" speed from my ISP, which doesn't hurt. Setting up this device does require that you download the Linksys app, which is very user friendly with it's walkthrough. I would even feel comfortably saying that a "novice" or beginner with electronics would not have much difficulty setting up this device. During the set-up process, and at any time in the app, you can set up individual bandwidths for devices at 2.4GHz, 5.0GHz., and 6.0GHz, which I don't think there are many mainstream consumer devices that can use 6.0, yet. Alternatively, you can also combine all into one for access - which is what I did. One WiFi connection, one password. Easy peasy. One area that I am curious about is actual square foot coverage. I do have a good size home, so in some of the far reaches I do notice a small drop in connection. However, I recognize that is also due to my placement of where this router is in my home. It is not in a more central location due to convenience with having my desktop directly plugged in, and it is next to my modem. I will have to test it out in different locations as I can in the future. Looks-wise, this router definitely looks aesthetically nice, and it has a very high quality feel to it. And I would not change anything about this product, if I could. I am very happy and pleased with it's performance thus far, and look forward to using it for as long as I can. Great job, Linksys!

Fast router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have so many devices connected to our wifi so a router was necessary. We had another linksys and that did the job, but this was is really good. It can connect up to 55 devices without any delays or slowed internet. So far, its held up. My kids are doing online school still so this is a huge help to eliminate any slow internet connections or delays. We have not had any problems yet, so I'm hoping this keeps up. This set up was really easy. I already had the app downloaded because I had an older linksys model, but it was easy to connect this new router to my modem and my other node. Make sure you have the latest modem through your wifi provider because you may have some difficulty connecting. My provider sent me the updated modem and I had no problems getting set up afterwards.

lots of connections
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we are loving this router. we have a lot of connections. 6 in the house, all connect with phones. plus a couple with tablets, a few consoles, computers, and even smart tv's and projector. at least 15 devices. and that is on at same time. before we would get lag, and constant drops. we kept connected as well as fast speeds. at time of writing this with my kids gaming, and others streaming shows my phone was getting 143Mbps download speed. I also like that they have a app so you can customize settings with your phone. the only issue I had, and not fault with router lol. was having to re log in with each device as well as our lights and google devices. but again that was expected. this router was easy to set up.

Feel The Need For Speed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Linksys WiFi router is an absolute beast! Wicked fast download and upload speed is now my new norm around the house. Sadly at this point I only have two devices that support the WiFi 6 standard, my iPhone 13 Pro Max and my gaming laptop. Normally I am more than a little jaded when it comes to claims of performance increases when it comes to tech as all too often companies will over promise and under deliver. That is not the case with this router. If anything I believe Linksys underpromised and over delivered! In my experience I have found a noticeable increase in my speeds around the house, and not just with my WiFi 6 compatible devices but with everything I connect via WiFi in my house, which is a lot of stuff. A LG smart TV, AppleTV, Arlo cameras, Blink Cameras, iPad Pro, Macbook Pro, two printers, a Hue bridge, and more. No one device ever sees a degradation in available bandwidth while have a rock solid connection everywhere from the living room (where the router is located), to the computer room on the other side of the house, to the far corner of my backyard. Setup is fairly straight forward. Plug the router to you cable modem and power outlet. Download the Linksys app, Setup the router via the app. Snap, you're now blanketed in WiFi goodness around your home. Love my new router!

Super Fast Router!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This small, powerful wifi router continues to impress me more every day that goes by. I get great signal throughout my entire house with no loss of wifi connection. I can enjoy tri-band connectivity, including a 6ghz band! I have been really impressed by the upload speeds from my device to the router! I have had no issues connecting to the router from any of my devices, both old and new. If you download the Linksys app on your smart device it walks you through the entire setup process, and after setup is complete, it allows you to manage your router remotely! This router is smaller than the other Linksys router I used to have. It also only has 4 antennas sticking up as compared to my last Linksys router that had 8 antennas! There are multiple ports on the back of the router that allow you to plug devices into the router directly. All in all, if you are looking to get into the wifi 6 game, this is a great router that will serve your purposes well!

Fast router, bad software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I keep going back and forth on the score. I decided on 4/5 due to the over simplified UI on the the app, with no way to connect to it otherwise. Upgraded from the Asus Rog wifi6 router for the 6E for future advantage. I have to say that this router is fast with good coverage in 2 story older house. Setting up the router, user is forced to use the Linksys app to set up via Bluetooth is nice but limited. The app couldn't connect 3x to the internet. After a hard reset, the app still couldn't connect. Fail. Fortunately, initially connected with password was finally able to connect through the wifi settings on my phone, not the Linksys app however. The pros on set up were that the app did ask me if I wanted to give network and PW different names, which is nice. However while I can check speed, I can't separate the ch. 2.4, 5, 6 ch. are combined and I have to assume the software will connect me to best ch. In the settings, they show you, but don't allow for changes. SIGH. Also no network diagnostic options to check network status either. I would recommend this router, but software is far too limited!! I can limit the internet to my daughter on school nights, which is good, but that is about it. Even updating the router, there is no option to check for an update, even when auto update is on. Linksys seriously needs to update the app for more options, unbelievably baron. I feel if any future issues arise, I'm very limited in what I can do to remedy, other than turn off and on again or do a reset. Recommend for novice users only, which is weird since router cutting edge tech.

Backwards Compatible and Future Proof
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the last two years I was using the Linksys Velop WIFI 5 mesh router system. Also, within the last year, I introduced a few new computers and devices into my network that were WIFI 6 capable. So, instead of upgrading my whole mesh system I decided to upgrade my main node with the Linksys Hydra pro 6E. Overall this new router is outstanding. Some things I love about the Hydra Pro 6E are. It is backwards compatible with older Velop nodes and even uses the same Linksys App. So, in places where the signal isn't strong enough, I was still able to use my older velop nodes to pick up the slack. For me, this is a huge benefit. Because in the past, whenever I purchased a new router, the old router was not compatible at all and it just ended up in my junk bin. When used by itself without any other nodes it covers about 80% of my 3200SF home. The only place it struggles is in the furthest corner of my basement. Which brings me back to my first thing I liked about it. It's backwards compatible with older velop nodes. Another great feature of this router is that it is future proof. It is the first router to support the new WIFI 6E standard. At the time of me writing this review, there are only about 20 devices on sale that are WIFI 6E capable. Unfortunately, I do not own any, so I was not able to take advantage of the new 6GHZ band. However, in the not-so-distant future everything will be using the new WIFI 6E standard and with this router I will already be prepared. Performance wise, the router does an excellent job at managing my internal network traffic. All my WIFI 6 devices easily connected to the router and maintained super fast link speeds. Also, the router really stands out when I am accessing my PLEX server. Within my network I have been able to easily stream 4K content to multiple devices without any lag or stuttering. With all that being said, I am really impressed by this router and I highly recommend it.

New Linksys router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.booted up ok.....did not like haveing to talk to the router via my cell phone...but got through that. Somehow was not clear on how to name my new network?? and a personal password so I am having to use the clunky ones that installed themselves. Lastly...have no idea how the 3 bands work?? thought I would pick a fast band vs a wide band...sure not allowed me to do that. 14 day full $$ return NO WAY long enough!! give us 90 days...sometimes these items dont break down in 2 weeks!!

Easy Set-Up, Impressive Speed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A router isn't supposed to be complicated, right? The Linksys - Hydra Pro Wifi 6E Tri-Band Router fits the bill! - Set-up took ~15 minutes with an easy to download and follow app on my phone. - Once up & running, download speeds have consistently been at or near the 250Mbps I'm getting via my cable modem (more consistently near max than my previous router) - The Linksys - Hydra Pro Wifi 6E Tri-Band Router seems to seamlessly optimize using its tri-band technology. My previous router didn't seem to handle its "dual-band" function well & I had to specifically set up the 2.4 & 5Ghz connections separately so I could force devices to use one or the other. This created problems mostly when printing as my printer only uses 2.5Ghz while my computers were on 5Ghz. None of this with the Linksys - Future-proofing: I don't have a bevy of 6E-enabled devices presently, but I'll be ready as they proliferate and, in my current apartment, that will be good as I know I'm in constant conflict with wifi signals from all directions!
