The Perfect Velop Addition
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already own the Velop AX4200 system and I decided to add this as the head node. It works flawlessly and sped up our entire system. The setup was seamless and have had zero issue. Highly recommend.

Great Linksys Tri-Band Router
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great Linksys Tri-Band router with 6GHz. This is my fourth Linksys router as I continue to upgrade with them due to reliability and quality of their routers.

Nice specs, poor firmware
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're an average person who plugs their router in and doesn't want to change many settings this is perfect for you. I had this router for nearly 2 years hoping they would update the firmware AND add new settings. There were 0 updates the entire time I owned the router. It has only the most basic of settings. It doesn't allow you to save your configuration. I use the guest network for my IoT devices like smart bulbs, alexa, wyze cams/plug because of the multiple security issues with almost all IoT devices, however after about a year of owning the router the guest network started allowing data transmission between my guest network and main network and with no option to congifure VLANs in this router I wasn't able to address this security flaw. I was under the impression this would be a great router because Linksys is owned by Cisco but I was wrong. They sold the brand to Belkin some time ago which explains why the software features are so limited. Another feature that would be nice is Link Aggregation. The WAN port on this is 2.5Gb but all the LAN ports are 1Gb meaning if you have Internet faster that 1Gb there's no way to take advantage of this with wired devices. Had they enabled Link Aggregation I could at least use two of the 1Gb LAN ports to double my throughput to my network switch to 2Gb. There's no settings for DDNS meaning running a server with a dynamic IP from my ISP is painful the 1-2 times a year my IP changes. There are no settings for implementing a network wide VPN. The DHCP client list has an odd naming scheme for my connected devices. The hardware is decent except for the broadcomm chipset which means there won't be any possibility for custom firmwares anytime soon if ever. There are tons of other settings I wish this 6E router had but I can't think of them off the top of my head. As I said in the begging this is great if you're one of those people who just plugs their router in and expects it to work but if you're like me who expects basic features like saving configs to your PC this thing is horrible.

WIFI Beast
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once you get this thing set up, the connection speed is insane! Future proof with WIFI 6E. WIFI 7 won't be here till late 2023/2024. Upgraded from a Linksys WRT32X with Killer Prioritization My connections average a 30 Mbps speed increase, but the range is almost double but it's mesh so you can just keep adding more. Mesh seemed like the way to go. Setup was a little annoying, the router needs to be connected to the internet to be setup via the app. Adding the second mesh device could have been a bit more user friendly. Really though wasn't the worst WIFI router to setup. Tip: Try to forget what you know from prior WIFI setups. Read the prompts carefully.

Superior Router.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Linksys Hydra Pro 6E Tri-Band Router a month ago and I will keep this review short. This is a remarkable router that is powerful for its size. Quite easy to set up, just plug in the router, download the App, and follow instructions. I have a 2700 square foot tri-level home here in Phoenix AZ, with (57) combined wired and wireless devices which depend on a strong Wi-Fi signal all the time, and this Hydra Pro Router does a fantastic job in supplying that strong Wi-Fi signal throughout my entire home. If you want a 6 series router which will take care of all your Wi-Fi needs, this is the router to own.

6G almost
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.6G almost. Router has decent speed in my condo 6G was a pain to get going as no network adapter supports 6G natively and you’re down loading older drivers to make it work. Once 6G is working you do get wire speeds.

Worst router ever!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router over a year ago and it never seemed to work correctly. It would disconnect from 4-6 times a day while we used our devices, wether we were using a Ethernet cable connection or wifi, the router would simply just go offline. I had became a normal thing that i hated deeply. I spent more than a total of 24 hours with the tech department troubleshooting the issue, but it would never get resolved. They would always blame my modem and spectrum as the reason, but honestly it was their device. I took it back to Best Buy since i had purchased the insurance and did some research on on a different router, and boy has the issue been resolved. Totally recommend the Amplifi Alien router to anyone, its been online now for 2 days without any issues, Linksys get you stuff together please!!!!

Appears to work well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It appears to have adequate power and reach most of the time. With that said, there are times when response appears to be a little slow. This is possibly related to the speed of the internet provided by Xfinity.

Absolute garbage, do not buy!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The performance of the router is great when it works. Wireless devices will not remain connected to the router. After three rounds of technical support, the issue remains unresolved. Be aware - there is a special support department for this “advanced technology,” but no dedicated support phone number. You are told that a special team handles this router and they have a 24-48 call back period.

Great router.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great purchase. I bought one for home usage and another for shop. The Linksys app is fluid and easy to use and setup or add devises to. I have Xfinity services and the app allows speed test. Currently 962 download and 46 upload. I setup a Moca cable splitter in middle of our house and it’s fed though coax and split to cable box and other side converts to Ethernet that this is setup to. Works very well. Very happy with purchase.
