I'm Spectrum Internet customer, and from the last year I have been issues with the Internet services in my devices through the wifi services provided for Spectrum. I know that not only depend of the servicies, we need to considerate the connections of ours devices too. Normally, the connection between these devices and the router wifi are in the 2.4 GHz band, although the new ones devices are connecting in the 5 GHz band, we need to considerate the interferences electromagnetics of other appliances like microwawes, phones, etc. My point is the router wifi Sagescom Fast 5260 that was provided me all the times had latency issues and never I can watched a movie without buffering issues, many times I changed the router but the problem persisted because Spectrum only changed me the router for the same model, just one time I received a Spectrum gave me a different model, Sagescom Fast 6280 and work very good no more buffering issus, but only worked for four weeks and the gave me a Sagescom Fast 5260 again and the buffering issues come back again too. I bough this router wifi and is working very well, is dual band and for now no more buffering issues. Is perfect for me and I recommended 100%.

Bought this in an attempt to economize when I finally got fed up with paying Xfinity a rental-fee for their modem/router combo. figuring I could always return it if it disappointed. Bottom line it will not be going back. Range is increased a bit over the Xfi unit and despite the old wifi supposedly being AC1900 this router is substantially faster, even on the wired ports. (to be fair some of this may well be the Motorola MB 7621 modem) If your looking for a decent router at a fair price with the ability to expand later with a mesh-system this unit is a solid choice. The only negative has to do with setup which is most easily started using the Linksys Android/iOS phone-app. Knocked one star off for this reason.

I just setup my new Linksys MAX-STREAM AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh WiFi 5 Router. Without a doubt the easiest product to setup and configure that I have worked with in the realm of WiFi! I used the IOS app and it walked me through the whole process. I was able to setup the security and admin rights as well as prioritize the products connecting to the router right from the app. I also was able to login to the router directly to customize security. The instructions and documentation are excellent. The Mesh router has given us incredible coverage in my home. I would highly recommend this router or any of the Linksys family of products. Fantastic device!

My ISP supplied router went out on a Sunday and I needed a quick replacement before Monday morning. The local BestBuy had this in stock for an excellent price considering all the other alternatives. Has all the features such as DHCP reservations, port forwarding, and the ability to turn of WiFi. Before turning off the WiFi as I already have a wired mesh network in place, I checked the range and speed and it was much better than the old WiFi router. If the older WiFi technology had been this good, probably would not have needed a mesh network today.

My 10 year old router finally died after a bad storm last night. I went into Best Buy 10 minutes before closing. I like how the packaging for Linksys routers tells you the speed, the area it covers, how many connections it can take - it made choosing what I needed easy. I came home, installed the app and got it working in a few minutes. I named the router the same name as my old one and all my devices connected to it immediately with no additional setup needed. I was dreading pairing the smart devices since I had several, so it was great that they can just connect to it immediately.

We had a Linksys from the early 2000's, but lost track of it and really like the updated version. Some of the new features were the app that assisted with setup and connectivity. Then the WPS button really works. Finally, the color coded indicator light helps to troubleshoot issues. We are on the lowest tier with our internet provider and this router has a wide range to reach all 4 bedrooms in a single story home.

This one's not an advanced device with a bazillion features, but so far it has been pretty reliable in operation delivering decent speeds and, most importantly, not needing to be rebooted daily. The most annoying aspect for me is that Linksys seems really determined for people to use their phone app. I've always configured my routers manually, and occasionally get fed up with the router's constant please to be managed by an app.
