I got this as a replacement for the Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 that I have had for a little over a year. We have probably 30 devices connected in our house at a given time and our house is over 3000 SQ Feet so was curious to see if this would be better/worse/same than my Nighthawk. So far it appears to be just as good if not slightly faster on the few tests I have run. It is compact and smaller than my Nighthawk with the same amount of ports including a USB 3.0 for an external HDD or printer. One nice feature is the ability to quickly and easily integrate the mesh devices if you happen to already have the Linksys Velop mesh system or plan to add it. The setup was pretty simple with the Linksys App you can download from the app store if you aren't tech savvy to connect to it and configure from a web browser. Overall it offers good speed in a small package with the same number of LAN ports and USB ports that other routers in this price range will have. If you want to expand though to leverage the Velop Mesh system this router might give you a bit of an advantage over other routers in this range. Pic 1 is my Nighthawk router and Pic 2 is the Linksys router and you can see a healthy jump in download/upload speeds on the Linksys router.

Originally had a modem (Spectrum_D31_eMTA) and router combo from Spectrum. Over the past 3 to 4 months my streaming devices started experiencing dropped connections regularly and just about every day. I found out later at Best Buy with having over 400MB bandwidth I shouldn't have had to take off any devices to address the issue. Yes, I did the hey reset your modem, reset your router, devices, etc. Doing this on a regular basis though was unacceptable. I have less 20 devices I researched about getting a mesh Wifi router and a relative who used Linksys recommended I check the brand out. The specs for my small house were way more than I may have needed but figured better for later expansion if needed. Yes its true you have to download the Linksys app to your phone BUT it does NOT mean its the only way AFTER you get your first device setup. If you think about it, your phone may be the only access you probably have to the internet in the beginning. You're shown EXACTLY what to do. The setup is super easy, from beginning to end. You'll be creating your Smart Wifi account during setup. This is NOT the same account as, say if you created an account at the normal Linksys website. This is how you access the router remotely. Once you get the router setup, then feel free to setup your devices with your phone on the app or login via https://linksyssmartwifi.com/ Honestly, I did it both ways and it was super easy. You can alter the names of the devices afterwards, if what the router picked up as a name is cryptic. That can helpful if you have the same type of device like 2 firesticks. You can also setup which devices get more bandwidth priority and there's guest access if you want to give a friend who comes over access to the internet BUT not the rest of your network. Also have to give props to Linksys-found plenty of helpful articles on their website before I started about device setup, changing admin password, using WPS, etc. It's only been a few days but here was THE test. I watched a few shows on 2 different services that usually it never failed the connection would drop at some point. It hasn't happened since getting this baby installed. I will be taking back Spectrum's router real soon.

Bought this for my daughter's online classes and the performance is awesome. Setup is simple through the Linksys application and later the device can be managed through https://linksyssmartwifi.com. I'd really like a direct web interface to the router but it is not a big deal. The coverage and speed are very good and even the coverage can be increased by adding Linksys mesh add on devices. Nice purchase.

The Linksys Max-Stream MR9000 has been a solid router so far. The android or ios way of setting up was surprisingly easy to get the thing up and running. The device has handled all things thrown it's way with ease. Media consumption in our 3000 sq. ft. home is all done via streaming including YouTube TV on two devices simultaneously, with no hiccups whatsoever. The mesh technology makes this device future proof with the option to add "nodes" to extend the coverage of the router. For me a good sign is not having to reset the router, this one has passed that short term test. Time will tell though if things stay rosy in Linksys land. It has a tough road to follow since the router its replacing was one of the best I've used.

I recently updated the Spectrum modem that brings the internet service into my house. I had an older Linksys Router which I thought should be updated to be able to utilize the 200 MPS speed from the new Spectrum Modem. So after doing a lot of research and reading reviews, I bought the Linksys Max Stream AC3000 and have been Very pleased with it. I have a 3400 sq. ft. house and I now have a good signal all over my house. The speed is good and the ability to control the settings my my Linksys app is excellent. I am pleased and would buy it again. This is my 3rd Linksys Router.

Initially I just have this router and it was great. lots of power but I ended up adding 2 mesh nodes to have 100% signal in the whole house. I have currently 30 devices connected to my network and with only 75mbps internet connection this little guy manages himself to keep us all navigating smoothly. watching 4k videos and more. setup is easy just follow the linksys app instructions. it takes a few minutes and boom. professional network enviroment at home. only wish that it has data usage management function to see how much data is using each device.

I installed this router about a week ago, and am very pleased. The coverage for my 2200 SF two story house is fine, and the speed in any location is an improvement over my old Netgear. I've had absolutely no issues and installation was a breeze. I know some experienced users detest set-up via the Linksys app, but for us regular people, it really simplifies the process a lot. Plus, the app allows me to check the status of the network any time, any where. This was prefect for me.

Performance is good and consistent , good range, easy to setup, great for remotely monitoring - the only thing that would have been better is if on the main Wifi... not the Guest Wifi - if it could be set to not broadcast SIDD.... at night we simply turn the wifi off.... My understanding is that the latest firmware update removed this capability.... maybe in future updates Linksys will bring this option back.

I've had this router installed about 2 months now and so far its been pretty good. I've had no speed issues at all and when the signal has dropped, it was our service provider and not the router. The last 2 routers I owned were both dual band Asus routers with the most recent being mesh capable. If I had to give any dislikes regarding the Linksys is that it chooses the best band for your device when the Asus would allow you to choose what you wanted. So far that hasn't been a problem as I do remember the 2.4 ghz randomly having connectivity issues and I never could find out why. No issues so far with the linksys that I know of. The other issue is that most of middle to higher end Asus routers like the last one I used had significantly better built in security features. The linksys has parental controls but you have to add specific websites. Asus would allow you to block different categories and also had built in malware protection which would warn you if trying to access a website known to contain malware. I had to buy a separate internet security software package when I switched to the Linksys which I didn't use before. The asus router also had built in data usage statistics by device to help see who in the household was using the most data. Other than that, the linksys has been very reliable. I'm in a 1 story that is close to 1900 sf and the router is almost centered and coverage is strong most everywhere.

My old Netgear router would drop 5ghz a few times a day and everyone in the house would have to restart what ever it was they were working on. I decided to go back to Linksys and am very glad I did. This router was priced right, feature rich, and has not let me down once in the month I have been using it. If you want a fast reliable router for your 2000 sqft. home, easy to setup, then this is the one for you.

Moving to my new Home I was in need of a good router with a good WI FI range. Linksys AC 3000 was there for me. I had purchase the AC 3000 back on 2,021 and now I decided on 2,023 to upgrade to a new more powerful Linksys Hydra 6. Big difference. I just love Linksys Products and they Customer Service is one of the BEST!

I've set up over 20 Velop mesh networks for clients. They all work wonderfully. I've set up a few with the MR8300 (AC2200) as the main router/node and the performance was even better. When the MR9000 (AC3000) router was introduced, I had an opportunity to use it to set up a 4-node network in a very large house. The performance was as good as any and the MR9000 all by itself covered a whole lot more of the house than I expected. The additional nodes blanketed the entire house in Wi-Fi and the client is thrilled with how well her Internet works now. If you can get this router on sale, the value is excellent. Otherwise, if you don't have a really (really) large area to cover and want to save some money, look at the MR8300 (especially if it is on sale).

Our internet constantly dropped, we would have to turn on and off our wireless printer to get it to work and many times our devices would tell us we had the wrong password for our wi-fi. We purchased this router and had it setup in less than 5 minutes. Our internet does not drop any more, the wireless printer does not have to be turned off and on again to connect. I wish I had purchased this router a couple of years ago so I wouldn’t have had to deal with all of the connectivity issues and frustrations. My internet provider isn’t that bad(now), but the modem/router that they provided Sucks. I am thinking about replacing the modem too and see if that takes care of the other 1% of my problems. I highly recommend this router.

This was insanely easy to set up, using an app on your phone. It replaced the second of two Nighthawk Routers that seemed to keep dying from overheating. Not only is this much faster than the Nighthawks we were using, but the coverage is insanely better. I would definately buy the same router again.
