This product was used in combination with a stand alone modem as opposed to a combined unit. I was trying to improve the wifi around the house and it definitely worked for me. The 2 wifi frequencies allow you to maximize the devices for better throughput.

Lightning took out my old modem so I bought this on sale for $240 and couldn't be happier. Running about a dozen devices on 2.4 and the range is great. I can get wifi in my backyard at least 150ft away. Nothing I can complain about.

Setup was a breeze, all devices in house working swiftly and beautifully. Their customer support was outstanding, in case you have any questions at all. Even my upstairs devices receive the signal without any extra assistance. Would buy it again.

This router made my internet speed from Comcast triple in download speed coming to the house. I wasn’t getting my full speed I paid for with the older Linksys. WiFi has been great and I like the iPhone app to remotely work on it.

I had a Linksys EA9200 with my Google Home. I had 20 devices connected and the Google Home devices kept disconnecting daily. I setup the new EA9300 (AC4000) and it’s been 3 weeks now and no problems at all. It’s worth the extra money.

    SmartRouter means limited configuration options

I bought this router to eliminate the CenturyLink router that's not required for Fiber/1G service. I previously used a NetGear R7000 AC1900 Nighthawk, but that router can't handle the full upload/download speeds over the WAN connection. So I thought I'd try the EA9300. With a hardwire connection I was still only getting in the 500-600 Mbps range for both down/up. Strike 1 - That's why I bought this in the first place to get closer to the quoted speed with my own equipment. The wireless AC definitely was faster but then I noticed that I was getting a high degree of packet loss and I also noticed some lag getting to websites. Strike 2 - What good is a faster wireless connection if your dropping 50% or more of your packets. I may need to play around with this more but the available settings to the admin user is fairly limited. Not good for router that retails for $300. Also I had issues trying to get ipv6 working. Strike 3 - The stock firmware allow you to set DNS for ipv4 but not ipv6... again a $300 router should have more configurability. My old Nighthawk had a plethora of settings. I was prepared for more work to get this to work because CenturyLink Fiber service typically uses PPPoE in most areas but I saw that in my area my stock CenturyLink was configured with IPoE which is DHCP. So all I had to do to get an initial connection was to connect my ONT cable to the WAN on the router and there was no other work to get on to the internet. Another thing I wasn't impressed with was the range of the router. I'm in a moderate sized two-story home with a finished basement (approximately 3500 sq ft finished). I have the router in a very central area of the home on the main floor. My 5GHz signal gets very weak if I'm not on the main floor. Speedtests drop from about 200-300Mbps to 50-70Mbps. I'm disappointed at this point. I may just go back to using the CenturyLink unit as my router and then just use my old R7000 as an AP. I was planning on returning the CenturyLink to use this, but from what I understand CenturyLink won't support 1G if youre not going through an approved modem (even though their unit is not techinally a modem with fiber to the home, that's the ONT).

The Linksys Max-Stream AC4000 Router is perfect for a small house. It even reaches out with no problems into the garage. We have steel beams in our walls and we no longer have issues with a slow network.

We purchased because we bought a cable modem from a store that sells furniture and had issues from day one. We have a lot of smart home products and it runs perfectly. Along with over 18 devises using it constantly!

Great product. Replaced router / modem combo and it helped improve wi-fi throughout the whole house. Did have to purchase a separate modem to combine with this router, which I would recommend.

My previous router got zapped by a lightning/surge. I had to replace it ASAP. I knew I needed one similar to my now dead one that can carry a heavy streaming load. This one is up to the task. Flawless.

This one has all the bells and whistles and sure is larger than anything I have had before. In reading the reviews, some of them sound like you would need a forklift to handle this device, but it’s just about a foot x a foot – so a large shelf works just fine. I was actually kind of disappointed when it arrived, because I thought it would be bigger after reading a few reviews. Actually, seems like this one is best suited for a very very very large house, church, business, apartments… it has the range and power to push a signal quite a distance. All the neighbors are picking up the signal, so it goes without saying to be sure and have a mighty fine password so folks aren’t helping themselves to your internet. For the house, no problems with the signal in any area, including the outside property. Set up was very straightforward and other than having to remember to use the MAC cloning feature to enable the internet connection for the router > network, setup was smooth. Everyone in the house has plenty of bandwidth and no problem getting a signal on any device. With the horsepower of this router, I am sure we could have a neighborhood block party and everyone could get on the “Guest” network (change the password after the party or switch off “Guest”) and simultaneously stream a Netflix movie. Really, this router can transmit more signal that the internet provider can push. Maybe when we move to fiber optic that might hit the router’s limit >> but we aren’t there yet. If you are buying this for a residence and looking for something that you won’t buy and then wish you had spent a little more for a better unit… this is the one. I have gotten tired of spending 2 weeks researching everything out there before buying some technology (phones, laptops, routers, speakers, etc…) so now I just like to buy something I know will do everything I need and then some, from a manufacturer with an established reputation. This one works and exceeds the need and I have heard of the company that makes it. DONE. One thing I noticed in researching this model is that there are two versions. This is the AC4000, which has 4 LAN ports (+ the modem port), and there is also an AC5400 model, which has 8 LAN ports and runs about $50 to $100 more. The AC5400 seems to be designed more for small business, with the extra LAN ports for hardwiring more computers or printers. Other than that, they both seem to be the same. The term “future proof” comes up a lot in reviews for this router, and that’s exactly the case. If you want to get something now that will be capable of handling your house or small business for quite a few years… this would be the one to get.

Increased my Wifi speed from 10 MBps to 100 MBps. I have hit speeds up to 194 MBps over Wifi. I can now stream Netflix, use my laptop and my son play his XBox all at the same time with no problems.

In just about every home in today's society, the wireless router is essential for the operation of home and personal devices for the entire family. People just walk in your house asking for the Wifi password, and they often compliment you if your signal and speed are good and rag you if they aren't. Well, if you choose the EA9300, you will get a ton of compliments, and you will undoubtedly become one of the best stops in the family visit cycle. Linksys has really upped their game in the presentation and build quality areas. Very good packaging, and the build quality on the device is top notch when compared to routers in it's class. I don't know if the build quality bests the equivalent Asus router, but it is right there. It was extremely easy to get this up and running. The quick start guide is very pointed and concise, and the setup wizard is as easy as it gets. I mean, this thing not only walks you through the setup process, but even when you make those changes (or have firmware updates) that essentially break your connectivity to the router, it instructions you on how to reconnect. Even when you set the SSID and password to your personal preferences, it instructs you on reconnection - something that didn't exist in the past. Linksys also has the cloud network monitoring and control center, SmartWifi. As someone who manages devices for different households in my family, as well as a couple of churches, SmartWifi is great. A single account in the cloud, used to manage several devices remotely. I would love to see options that allow simple advanced networking over WAN among devices, and I would also like to see an option where you can copy and push out configs across managed devices. These options could already exists, and I haven't seen them, but if not, they would be nice to haves. As for the performance, it's very good. A penetrating signal with consistent max speeds. The tri-band technology appears to be beneficial for connecting devices and maintaining high bandwidth during connection. I have several heavy streamers in my home, and the EA9300 didn't care - it just handles it all! Seriously, this is one of the best routers at flawlessly handling high activity and client counts. Of course it has all the standard router administration tools, and they are very easy to administer. Some options have been renamed using a more plain English approach - not sure I'm a fan of that one, but I guess it's useful to less technical users. All in all, the EA9300 is one of the best routers in not only the Linksys family of products, but also among all routers.

Great WiFi, probably the best around; however, my previous router did not have any issues, as it turned out. I like this box because there are more antennas than my previous. Decent product, for sure!

There are a ton or wifi routers in this class but I chose this one based on reviews. It was easy to setup and the range was fine for my house. My biggest complaint with this router, and the reason I returned it, is that there is absolutely no way to monitor traffic usage. In fact, there are few settings at all with this router. I really needed something that allowed me to see how and who is using my traffic. For that reason, I returned this and bought the Asus AC-5300.
