Many appreciate the simple setup and the helpful app. While some find the price high, and occasional connectivity issues were reported, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative.

Bought the item on Oct. 31 for $399.99 and today Nov. 26th it is On Sale at Best Buy for $199.99. Con tasted Customer Support for help with a Price Match and they refused. So I have to go Tom the store return the product and Rebuy it to get my $200 back. During a COVID Pandemic, does this make any sense. They refused to help me out and said to go to the store.

Very easy to install, connect to a modem, power up, connect to its wifi using a smartphone, launch the Linksys app and the app will walk you through the setup process. Wifi is very stable, no device get disconnected by itself. Coverage is also very good, I placed the router at a corner of my house on the first floor, I can browse web anywhere in my 3000 sq ft house. My wife and I VPN to office all day via wifi without issue. TV able to stream FHD from Netflix via wifi without issue. If your ISP gave you a wifi router modem combo, AX6000 will still work but your device will be behind double NAT and might have IP address conflict if ISP router also use 192.168.1.x, you will have to manually configure the ISP router to bridge mode and switch off its wifi. The Linksys app only assume you have a modem and not a combo modem/router. I wish the Linksys app and the initial setup process also designed for more advance user. AX6000 has speed test tool and it measures close to 1 Gbps both up and down stream, maximum for my ISP plan.

      Hi, Teebirdie.

The unit is expected to provide fast and reliable Wi-Fi speeds to its connected devices. Make sure to run the latest firmware to isolate it further. Don't waste your money. I have a little over 15 devices in my home including smart home devices (Nest Doorbell, multiple Google Homes, and more) and consistently had the WiFi signal drop on all devices multiple times a day. When the WiFi did work it was only average performance. For the money, you can find a much more reliable router.

Fast set up and strong connection

So far I've been using this router for about 2 weeks. I replaced a Linksys Mesh 3 Node system, which while 3 nodes worked great upstairs, the 3rd node in the basement struggled to stay connected at times. So far with the Max-stream wi-fi 6 router this has not been an issue. I haven't noticed any lag or drops when playing online regardless of what they rest of my heavy tech user family is doing. The set up was fast and easy once I removed the old system from the Linksys app. The app works well and gives you the ability to control setup, connections and priorities all from the app. The signal is strong and has good range. I haven't tried to connect to the barn which is about 75 feet away from the house, but I get a good connection on the deck and in the garage. Overall, I believe it's been a good upgrade especialy considering it can handle 25+ devices without an issue.

    NOT A TRI-BAND REPLACEMENT

I'll keep it simple I came from a somewhat reliable, overheating, overworked EA9500 with 40+ devices. This thing couldn't handle half of that load. It bogged down immediately and rendered itself unusable. I live in about a 3000+ sq ft home and it preformance is embarrassing. Maybe i'm an idiot thinking this was a EA9500 replacement but I can assure you it is not. Linksys has always let me down but Its all I know. Tried the mesh system and also failed me. I will give the Tri-band router a chance if it ever comes out, but that will be the last straw. Hate making excused for products. Linksys has only gone down in value over the years.

      Hi,

The Linksys Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 router is one of our flagship routers that can cover up to 3,000 sq.ft. and handles 40+ devices as long as it is properly configured and is getting a reliable internet connection from the upstream devices. Moreover, we would like to have our escalation engineers look into this further. Email us at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact details and the link to your review for reference.

For what I paid very disappointing. It handled a lot of WiFi items at one time but not even close to the speed it said it could handle or dish out. My WiFi router I had before the nighthawk by Netgear was much better and $150 cheaper and Tri band.

Router was easily installed with two simple steps! Download the app prior to opening the box for easier setup. The steps are super easy to follow, even if you aren't a "techy". The app does all the setup with simple prompts. The app allows parental controls, this is a plus for people with children. Performance is AMAZING! The speed of the router is beyond expectation with all of the gizmos and gadgets we have hooked up to it. Perfect for a household who has multiple gamers or even a smart home. Streaming on the TV while others are playing games, used to create a lag, until now! I have had many other routers and none stands up to this one. I love the functionality of the app, and the performance of the router! PLEASE give this router a try!

This router suck keeps getting disconnected no matter how I set it up, I have never had so many issues with one router before I should have got the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router instead of this Linksys let me down on this one.

It was less than a week and ran into problems. It would work, drop the internet and restart at lease 6 times a day. When you’re working from home, it's not good and this is a WiFi 6 unit. I’ve had other Linksys routers and had good results.

      Hi,

This is quite an unusual behaviour from the router. Have you checked if the connection directly from the modem is stable? Make sure that there are no physical obstructions around the router and that it’s running on the latest firmware. If that won’t help, please get in touch with us at LinksysCares@linksys.com, so we can have this checked. Just include the relevant details and a link to this review as our reference when you reach out.
