Linksys-Max_Stream AX6000, hits it out of the park. Very easy to setup with their APP, also no WPS buttons to locate and use to connect to other devices, it has built in software to do that job, especially since mine is located where I would need a ladder to access it. It lists all devices connected to it but when you name the device after you look at the device list the name has been changed a lot of work for nothing.

    Fast but glitchy set up

The router has increased my speed test from 35 maps to 118. I have 100 maps from spectrum but never got the full bandwidth. I used to use 2 routers with one as a repeater to cover the whole house. Now I just use the new one. It was worth it for the sale price. I have a 2 story 2000 sq ft house. No problem. I did not update the firmware as some people reported problems. The set up is very glitchy. An experienced person may find it annoying to have to use an app on their phone or tablet to do the set up. Password setup is not clear. Cannot use mixed mode. Changed to wireless N and a Toshiba laptop with wireless G won't connect but a 13 year old Dell laptop does. I happen to have an Asus wireless N adapter and now all 15 devices connect. I'm not touching anything at this point.

Had an older Netgear Nighthawk R7000 that always had issues with the 5 ghz signal dropping while in use. This router has eliminated any and all issues we had and although settings are only accessible through the app and not directly through router the app is easy to use. Wish I upgraded to a newer router much sooner. This one is excellent.

I have a 450mbps connection through my ISP, and I am currently connected to this router as I write my review. I am, as this is written, downloading a game on Steam at 42 full megabytes per second in the basement of my home, wirelessly, two floors down and in the opposite corner of the home from where the router is placed. While this is happening, two of my kids are streaming HD shows simultaneously on two different TVs, while the other kid is playing on a Minecraft server I set up in the house with five of his friends connected to it over the internet, and my wife is watching Youtube on her phone. From the beginning of this review being typed out to now, I downloaded an 11GB patch for a game in roughly four minutes while all the other above mentioned traffic was surging through the many other devices in this house, all without skipping beats, or yells of games lagging. THAT is how good this router performs. It was also mostly plug and play, with the app serving as a surprisingly competent way of configuring the router, as I am a career IT guy and initially loathed the idea of using a smartphone app for a router config, but it worked very well. And I'm coming off of a Netgear Nighthawk RAX45, whose setup was a slow, cumbersome nightmare and had to deal with regular disconnects from the router for no perceivable reason, as well as severe wifi bandwidth degradation once I simply left the room it was in. I used Linksys for years until I had a couple Netgears. I'm glad to be back using a Linksys. It's pricey, but totally worth it to not have the family complaining their stuff is disconnecting regularly.

Before this router I used to have a lot of extenders around my house. With this mesh router my house was all covered and I did not have to use any of my extenders. I had to change all my netgear WiFi equipment because I was having way too much problems with them. I did not want to try this one but with the two week return from Best Buy I said let’s give it a try and I ended up keeping it. Two months already and very happy with Linksys.

I gave this a four stars because this was a pain to set up at first. I have devices that will only connect to a 2.4ghz connection. I had to do a little research to separate the bands. It took over four house to set up all my smart devices. After though it works great!
