Great distance, can handle 5 cell phones, an iPad, 2 TVs streaming, 2 desktop PCs all at the same time on gigabit. Speeds are always there. I tried other WiFi6 routers from different brands but I always end up back at Linksys.

I have a 5000 square foot home on two levels. Two of these covers the entire house plus garage. Although it doesn't allow different names for the two frequencies, all my 2.4 Ghz-only light switches and devices work with it.

Works great with excellent signal. Wish it would have better security. The app was easy to set up. Wish the app showed more specific device usage.

Simply put, not only does Linksys make an excellent router but the ease of set up blows the competition out of the water. I'll never purchase a Netgear product again!

    Bad LAN connections on node

Bought this based on reviews from the web rating it as one of the best mesh AX routers. Had initial issues with setup via the app, but it worked fine after I connected to the WiFi ID it initially came with. Setup after that was easy. After getting connected, everything seemed great and my network seemed to be running faster than my old Orbi AC3000. However, that evening, I tried playing on my PS4 which was connected to the satellite node through one of its LAN ports. While playing, I was seeing significant lag and was getting knocked off servers. That didn’t happen with my old Orbi. When I checked the PS4 network speed, I was only getting 75-90 Mbps through the node which is about 35 feet from the main hub. Same issue if I tried the PS4 connecting via WiFi instead of with a LAN cable. I have a 500Mbps cable internet plan, so that seemed really slow given the Velop MX10 was supposed to be faster. Bottom line, I returned the system. I did pick up the new Orbi AX6000 to try. Setup was easy and after everything was connected, I am getting close to 200Mbps through the PS4 now with no lag issues or getting kicked off servers.

      Hi, SVbach,

Your experience with one of our newest mesh router is totally unexpected and we could’ve had our Escalation Engineers look into what happened. Moreover, we respect your decision in returning the device, but feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected] should you decide to use a Linksys product again. We’d be happy to give you a hand.

The house is about 3700 sq. ft. and coverage was minimal at one end. Two nodes solved the problem completely. Might add a third in the basement. An excellent router overall. No problems with the setup.

This mesh system is expensive but covers a ton of ground and has been super steady since I purchased it. If you’re looking to upgrade and need a router that can cover a large area, this unit is great.

I got this router expecting to increase my internet speed compared to my Netgesr Orbi RBR50. Really has not happened. I have 500gb Fios speed and was thinking the Velop would come close to that speed with a new HP laptop with the WiFi 6 chip. My download speed maxes at 300-350. I got the same speed with the Orbi. I’m keeping the Velop as has reliable connection and is very smooth walking around the house and never loses connection Overall I think it’s a good router. I would recommend to a friend.

Best mesh router I have used. I replaced an earlier version of a Linksys mesh router. Previous router would need to be reset occasionally and have good connection speeds of 30-100 Mbps. I also had 4 nodes to get good coverage throughout our house. Since upgrading to this router, I have not had to reset any of the nodes. I also replaced 4 nodes with 2 of the larger nodes and get great connections throughout our house. I connected the two nodes via Ethernet cable and now get WiFi 6 connection speeds of 500-700 Mbps. It is a little expensive but I feel it is well worth it because of how well it works.

Such an upgrade from a central wireless router and a handful of extenders! I'm seeing 750Mb+ from my phone -- such a great purchase!

I upgraded from a Google WiFi system I had for years because I was beginning to notice a lot of lag when I had many devices connected at the same time. With WiFi 6 on this plus the ability to prioritize devices, this mesh system is very good. No, it won't be the fastest (I've read the reviews on others) nor will it be the flashiest. I'm very pleased with the throughput I have gotten thus far, and the warranty that comes with this is pretty dang good. If you're looking to upgrade your system, I would certainly take a look at this. If you live in a bigger house, you can also get more nodes to expand your coverage.

This fixed all my very specific wireless issues. I use remote streaming through my house via Backbone/iOS and PlayStation remote play, Steam Link, and Xbox remote play and old mesh solutions really struggled. This fixed all my problems. I get great streaming performance regardless of what mode I’m connecting to. It’s like night and day, and my old mesh system wasn’t even that old. 100% worth the upgrade (I got mine price matched down to $370)

If you have multiple devices like laptops, smartphones, and smart TVs - you will need a mesh. Don't waste your time /money with range extenders. Worth the 'investment'

The Linksys Velop Mesh Router WI-FI 6 system is a far better solution than adding an extender. No more dead zones in my 3000 Sq ft home. Constant speed all over the house.
