Works great, bought 4 of these for a LAN party

They connected to my router without any issues and everyone was able to get great speeds - nobody was ever below 80-100Mbps. The only thing to be aware of is that you need to install the driver for this device first, whether from the included CD or via a USB key and the driver downloaded from the Linksys web site.

Initial set up was a headache but after set up ok

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told by Best Buy Rep that all I have to do is removed from the box and plug it in and it will work and will search for the WiFi and then just log in to WiFi and will connect. However, I did that as soon as i got home but instead, nothing worked. It did not connect. NOTHING! I have to call Linksys phone number listed (included in the box) and was advised that I need to download something on my computer before it can connect to WiFi. Anyway, while on the phone, Linksys Rep assisted me and save the file to flash drive also. After 5-10 minutes, it worked. Since I bought it, only once (aside from the day I bought it) I was unable to connect to WiFi so I did what the Linksys Rep did before (I connected the flash drive where the downloaded file was and clicked on update and that's it) and it connected. Since then I have no issues but the first time I have to set it up, it was a headache. Again on my end, that's what happened but not sure if others have same issue like mine. I gave 3 stars because of initial problem I had but if that did not happen and all I have to do is plug it in and connect to my WiFi then it will be 5 stars.

Worked perfectly with that machine. However, I recently upgraded to a dell optiplex 3080 and it doesn’t seem to work as well with it. Not really sure what the issue is, but I’ll usually have to restart my computer for it to work without losing WiFi connection. Might have to move on to a more powerful device soon.

Works good for regular everyday home stuff online ordering, bill pay, games, etc. Didnt work as well for work from home setup, too far from router, computer freezes up quite a bit, may work better if closer to router or with wifi maximizer
