I walked into the Riverbank, CA store to ask about a WiFi entension system. The agent that assisted me was super. He knew exactly what I needed. Yes it was a little expensive but it extended my WiFi through out my home without drilling holes and running wires!

I have been very pleased with the purchase of my Velop system. I have a 3 node system with 2 located in my home and 1 in a detached garage. My system is setup with the nodes hardwired. This setup provides excellent speeds around my whole home and pool area.

Got an instant boost in speed and network performance upon install. We had an older Spectrum modem, so I had to get help from tech support as the automatic setup didn't get it done. Tech support was great.

It has made a huge difference in our home. In some areas we were only getting 20-50 percent of our WiFi now we are getting over 100 in each room. Our house is completely run on WiFi. Especially since we gave up on cable. It has been a blessing.

Two story house. Before, I used two separate routers to create a strong enough signal. I had weak points all over at the fringes of the signals. Now I have strong and fast network throughout the house “There can be only one!”

I was having a hard time connecting Netflix on my Master bedroom TV due to weak signal. I set these up and not only do I get great signal in my Master bedroom, but also in the back yard by the pool. Loving it.

I bought this mesh network only because I pay for fast internet into my home and my single router wouldn't cover the house well enough. I wanted more of the speed I pay for spread all over the house. It works. Set up was mostly clear. I set all three units where I wanted them and they connected quickly - took me about 15 minutes to get the new network set up. Our high speed internet into the house is 180 down and 24 up. Now, throughout the house I get up to 156 down in the other rooms from the satellites and always 24 up. It seems to usually switch your device automatically to the strongest signal, but not always. Most importantly to me is it handles our family's traffic with no problems. Routinely we will stream two high def Netflix and two gaming systems at the same time. No more complaints from my family about lag, or choppy streaming or games. I sold my big red d-link to a co-worker with fewer streaming demands.

TP-LINK Owners! - Word of Caution

I purchased a Linksys AC5400 one year ago this month. I patiently suffered through 12 months of figuring out why I was experiencing constant disconnects on the 2.4 GHz band and finally gave up and used my 2 year protection plan to return that product last week. On the recommendation of a BestBuy employee, I decided to try another Linksys product, the Velop Tri-Band Mesh system. I was able to get the first main node up and running rather quickly. My worries began to fade as progress was going so well. All of my devices were working excellent. Then I made the move to add the 2nd node. Here's where I began to hang my head in disgust again. 2nd Node would NOT connect, and not only that, when I came out to the main room with the Main Node, all of my TP-Link smart switches were flashing, meaning they were having WiFi issues. The install of the 2nd node hung, and I rebooted the main node while disconnecting the 2nd Node. After reboot, all seemed ok. I decided to try to install the 2nd Node in the basement, and even though the app on my phone hung, the 2nd Node actually became connected to the Main Node. I waited through the firmware upgrade of the 2nd Node, and all seemed to be working. I then went back to the same exact location as my first attempt on the 2nd Node, and went through the install of the 3rd node. To my surprise, this went rather smoothly. Firmware upgraded and all seemed to be working well. All of this took place four days ago. Last night, while watching TV, I noticed that my TP-Link smart switches were once again randomly flashing. Looking at the KASA app, several of my TP-Link Smart Bulbs and switches were not connected to the App. My disgust returned again. I watched for a few hours as my switches connected and disconnected. Watched as I could not turn off my smart bulbs when going to bed, even turning off my bulbs to 'reboot' them. Then, I do the internet search, and imagine that.....I find that this is a rather annoying and frustrating issue for many people. Here are a couple of links: https://community.linksys.com/t5/Velop-Whole-Home-Wi-Fi/PSA-1-1-10-197424-for-WHW0301-WHW0302-WHW0303-posted/m-p/1419283/highlight/false#M20109 https://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=274497 https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/176418 It appears that the Velop system is not all it's cracked up to be in seamless and smooth operation. I did get the 2 Year plan on this system as well, and will watch for a little while to see if things get corrected, and if not, I will have to move on to some other product promising great things.....

Setup was easy. It’s not a rock solid connection like we thought it would be. Spotty at times but the signal did extend to the front of our house.

I installed the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band WiFi 5 System (3 pack) at a friend / client’s house. I had started to install EERO there, as I normally do for Mesh. But Eero requires activation via text message and this friend lives just outside of cell range. A lot of people go with Orbi, but I’ve had mixed experiences with it. I’ve installed Velop three times now and all the installations have been solid. And it’s nice that Velop also has a web interface in addition to the app interface. I would have normally gone with a less expensive Velop bundle than this one, but we needed something asap and this was all that the local Best Buy had in stock. My friend/client has been happy With Velop for a month and a half now.

My WiFi was pretty spotty before I bought this. There were lots of dead zones. After this, I don’t lag anymore while playing video games and it’s pretty reliable!!! They were extremely easy to setup as well.

I must admite that I am on one floor, but my router could not reach very good to the end of the house. With this Linksys, not only can it reach to the end of the house, it know reaches down to my shed. Spend the extra, for the piece of mind.

Was not as easy to set up as I was told it would be, but I did get it up and working and really like the range I now have, even on my patio. Also like the look of the pods, can put on a night stand and they blend in, don't look like a large obstruction.

Our home has horse hair and slat plaster walls which made our WIFI not work well on the second or basement level. It was always cutting out and signal was poor. After installing this product, we have had no problems anywhere in the home! Works wonderfully.
