For the longest time I’ve been searching for a router that gives my whole house coverage with WiFi, and finally thanks to this it’s a reality. It handles all my phones, tablets, computers and smart TVs with no problems wherever I am and gives me my full internet speed I’m paying for, can’t recommend enough!

Due to the shape of my house and room configurations, it appeared as though I would need to invest in a more powerful system than a traditional router. After much research, the Linksys was for me. I had tried several others, and there are some good systems that exist, but none of the others could reach where the Velop could. And lightning fast! Once again, thanks Linksys !

So the promise and expectations for me were pretty high. Been struggling with my internet and WIFI with Cox for years - I pay for 350 mbps speeds and was getting as low as 10 some days. Initial setup of the Velop was pretty easy and I love the minimalist look. After using it for months now though it does weird things like one node will randomly disconnect, and i am CONSTANTLY running their "channel finder" tool from inside the app. Today for instance my iPhone was sooo slow - I checked the speed and was getting 20 Mbps and I noticed that my phone was still connected to the node upstairs in my bedroom - why it won't automatically move to the main node in living room is lame. Their support people are pretty helpful and have trouble-shooted with me a few times. If I didn't pay so much for it I might consider ditching it and trying Cox's new Panoramic Wifi, at least then there would be just one place for me to direct my frustrations. :)

I would sum up my review by saying this router gave me more dowload speed which is unbelievable my normal download speed is 199 Mbps and after setting up this router I received 239 Mbps. Design is classy and doesn't need much space to place it, 2 extra nodes for more coverage, ease of setup, smart app with integrated speed test

I am conflicted on whether to give four or five stars. I feel like a star should be removed for difficulty of setup. But since other reviews do not seem to mention a difficult setup, I will give 5 as this three unit system is up and running well. This review is only after a couple days of use. 4 bedroom home plus kitchen/dine/fam/living room, plus basement, and attached garage build on the end of the house. Sq. Ft. unknown as my area does not list square footage for real estate. Great coverage everywhere. Can't say actual speed vs what comes through coax because it is company supplied, not sure what is paid for. But speed has certainly increased over my 10 year old router. Speed test showing around 89 down / 16 up, but again, not sure what my actual service speed is. Controls on the app are great. I have the first node in the corner of the house upstairs, then both on the main/first floor on opposite ends. No issues. Around 20 devices right now. It does a good job prioritizing and kicks other devices to a further node to prioritize my roku ultra which is what I requested to prioritize. No usb port, but I plan to utilize my old router with usb 3.0 for external hdd media sharing, via Velop's ethernet port, so not a big deal there. Setup was awful. First node (primary) could not be found by the app. Ended up manually connecting on my phone's bluetooth to "linksys" bluetooth device, and then the app found the node. 2nd and 3rd nodes no dice at all. Apparently this was because I was downstairs with 2nd and 3rd nodes. You have to be about 3 feet or so from first/primary node. Brought them up next to first node, and got the 2nd node to connect. 3rd node no dice. Technical support walked me through all the attempted resets, unplugging, etc. Finally, they instructed me to use the web portal (192.1.etc) and there was a way to use the web portal rather than the app to try and wake up and connect the third node, and this was successful. Time spent on hold about 14 minutes, total time on phone about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Third node would not turn blue at first, it was red, and was the furthest node. Brought it closer, it then turned blue. Then placed it back further and it remained blue. So there were quite a few hiccups and overall time spent getting this hooked up was around 2 hours+. Not seeing this in any other review, so perhaps my 2nd and 3rd node just had a mind of their own. But once they were up and running, it is really nice. And this AC2200 3 node system was on sale for 199 from 399 for one day it appears. Would not pay 399 for this. 250 even would be pushing it. I was between a centrally located router via ethernet cable across the attic down the wall, or mesh. But many mesh reviews are bad, citing problematic coverage, lack of power, etc. This does not seem to be the case with the Velop AC2200 my my needs. Not a gamer or power user. Just an average homeowner. It is working really well.

My home is a little over 6,000 sq ft (excluding my garage) and was having difficulty finding a wifi mesh system to cover my entire house . Samsung covers up to 4500 sq ft and others didn't seem to cover my home entirely. This system works seamlessly and would recommend it! no dead spots and even covers into my 900 sq ft three car garage!

I researched several whole home router systems and I couldn't be happier that I chose the Velop system. I set up 3 nodes and my whole house has fantastic wifi no matter where I am at now. I have several TV's, smartphones, and 5 Arlo cameras using this system all the time and my signal is always perfect! You will not be disappointed!

I have been using this Velop system for a little over a year and have been very happy with the coverage and speed it consistently provides. On initial setup, I had a problem with one of the nodes continually dropping connection to the other nodes, but Linksys technical support was able to walk me through some troubleshooting steps that resolved the issue. The system has been working fine since! The Linksys app and web interface also offer good configuration options, both for simple and advanced functionality.

Fantastic system that is both reliable and user friendly. Set up was a breeze and being able to manage my WiFi network from an app is much more convenient than using a computer. Currently I have between 14 to 18 connected devices on my network at a time and the velop system shares my 100mps very effectively. There's never a delay when it comes to streaming on any of my devices or gaming on my PS4 and pc. I recommend setting up all three nodes initially in the same room and then moving them to the desired rooms. This helped my set up quite a bit. One last thing, keep in mind that this won't increase an already slow internet signal but it sure as heck increased the reliability and distance of my WiFi.

We dealt with dropouts all the time with our Comcast Wifi connection with their Built-in Wifi/Modem. Since we installed the Velop system we have had no issues whatsoever. Speed is excellent anywhere in the house and through most of the yard. We can be in our neighbor's yard and still have access. Highly recommend.

The setup was pretty much download the app and follow the procedure given in the app. It is important to properly locate the individual units to get proper coverage. After the system was up and running, there were a couple times when the system went offline for no reason. It required a reboot to get it back online. The app is obviously good for setup, but does not offer a lot of useful capabilities beyond that. Seems a bit costly, but does provide better coverage than my wifi extender and with a single wifi ID

This is a great whole home mesh network system! I would have given it 5 stars, but two of my three nodes periodically lose connection to the main node. My home is only a 2600 sq ft ranch style home so it surprises me that they lose connection. Otherwise, everything else works great!

Tired of using multiple extenders and still getting poor signal strength. Did some research on whole home set ups and came across the Velop and saw all the great reviews. A bit pricey but well worth it...set up was easy peasy and the app is great! I unboxed and set up three units in less thenn30 min.

In short I dropped it a star because although phone app is well made...it won’t give you the same access as logging into the router via desktop/laptop. Also it only has two Ethernet ports per “node”. That being said it was a breeze to set up. My set up is based on a several story home, no problems whatsoever. Hardwiring devices will require a switch. It’s also aesthetically very pleasing and the base of each node has an elegant wire management solution. Overall, I kinda wished I bought this earlier.

I purchased a Netgear RAX80 garbage router in May of 2019. It has been a constant let down. The thought of buying another pricey system in less than a year was not an easy decision, but I'm glad I did. The Velop system has been amazing! Far easier to setup using their mobile app than the Netgear Garbage. With the old garbage product, I would have to switch between bands when I noticed things slowing down. This was a constant problem. It was as if the unit could not handle more than one task per frequency. I was forced to hardwire certain devices to ensure I wouldn't have any problems streaming media (like TV's). Even after plugging ethernet cables in, I would experience occasions where items would disappear from the network. The main Samsung TV would give me "No cable connected" errors all the time. Yes... I tested cables before I came to the conclusion that it was a garbage Netgear product. Our household is all Apple with the exception of TV's (although, we do have Apple TV's as well). My iCloud devices would not sync properly. There was a delay at times where I would delete an email from one device but it wouldn't be able to sync that data with the server so the mail would still show up on other devices. I would watch the messages in the Apple Mail program say "Moving message x of x" but nothing would be happening. iCloud uploads to my documents drive would often hang up and there was nothing I could do to make them complete the upload. Since setting up the Linksys Velop system, every single problem I had has disappeared. I have also been able to remove the cable clutter of hardwired devices. We can actually have two devices streaming Netflix or some other service at the same time and not be concerned that everything else will come to a standstill. My Apple devices sync instantly and there are no iCloud issues at all. I was CONSTANTLY rebooting the Netgear garbage router because it just couldn't handle its job. The Velop system is going strong and I haven't had to do anything. Plus the system has a 3 year warranty! The Netgear garbage way of doing business gives you 90 days of tech support only and then tries to get you to pay to extend that. Even though you get a year on the hardware, there is no way to open a ticket after your 90 days unless you call. What a garbage company making garbage products. If you have any doubts about the Linksys Velop, put them aside. I am AMAZED by this product. It's one less thing for me to worry about because it works like it is supposed to and then some.

I was having problems with my extender keeping contact with my router. My router went out and I decided to try the Mesh Wi-Fi system. This has been great and I have not had any problems with Wi-Fi connections throughout my house. We have cameras that connect and they stay connected. I would definitely recommend this Mesh Wi-Fi system. If you have a larger house that is more than 2600 sq ft, I would recommend the 3 pack. I could have used the 3 pack but this is working fine.
