Purchased during Black Friday sales and with the newer WiFi 6 version becoming avlb the price at $200 was hard to pass up. The app and setup were very easy. Our house is about 3600 sqft and 2 stories so going with this system has really helped get the best coverage throughout. I immediately noticed a difference in connection speeds for my work VPN but probably more so since our prior router was about 6 years old. I wouldn't have paid the original price of $400 but at $200 I feel like it was a great deal and would recommend.

I have a 3 story house with concrete walls in some places (approximately 3300 sq ft). Also several family members gaming and streaming at the same time plus phones and tablets going. It was an overload for any regular router to handle. This router has handled it all effortlessly. No more dead spots, nor more being disconnected from the router, no more buffering that takes for ever. It was a cure all for all of the problems that we were having with other routers. The speed is incredible! Best of all, no more complaining from everyone in the house that the router is not working! The icing on the cake was that the setup took about 10 minutes in all and I used my cell phone to do it.

Such a great system. Super easy to set up. Also, there is no "Master/Slave" system. Each node is identical to the other. And you can add more if you need to. I have two story house with a basement. For now I have one on each floor. I plan on adding another in the garage to complete the set up.

I have worked with a lot of different types of WiFi devices, extenders, and routers and never have had one that covers over 5000 square feet with the ease of setting up this. I HIGHLY recommend this for large homes where you would like to have just one SSID and that covers this much footage.

Was very easy to setup. WiFi coverage exceeded expectations. Have 2600 sqft home 2 story. Only issue was setting up the account in the app, and unable to get activation email and still can’t get it working and support wasn’t much assistance. Not major as not necessary to manage network.

Setup is very easy. just keep all the unit within the same room while setting up, then go place them where you like. App on apple phone was easy to use. No issues, easy set and works great. Tested in the room which had poor coverage on other side of home and up stairs, worked super!

When my father’s 6-year-old Linksys router went belly up, and we needed to find a quick replacement. The salesman at the store recommended this unit because my father’s house is 2 stories, plus a basement: Total square footage of the house is 3,500sq feet. With the app on my phone, it took about 5 min to set up this system. I used the same network name and passwords as his old router, and everything hooked up seamlessly. We placed one node on the 2nd floor and one on the main floor. This thing just works. My father loves that he can walk around his entire house (including the basement) and never lose signal.

Easy setup, but the positioning of the node can be sensitive. Once in place, I have not had any issues with lost or dropped WiFi that I have had with every other solution! Tech support was very good with identifying a low speed issue (which was found to be the cables not Velop)

i have used several different Wifi routers over the years and nothing compares. I am able to connect 3X the amount of devices than the best standard router allowed and also connecting well outside of the home. 100% signal in every area of the house. Amazing support as well.

Have to say that this trip-band mesh system is definitely (somewhat) worth the money! You get a great range once the 3 units are connected. It's incredibly simple to get started and the app has many features that allow you to have control of the usage. Since I purchased these on sale, I would say that they are worth every penny. But I would not spend the full amount to buy this. There are comparable mesh systems that will work just as well for about half the cost. Nonetheless, a great product!

I am converting from Satellite TV to an over the top provider. While shopping for Roku units the Best Buy associate mentioned the Mesh WifFi system, which was new to me. I have a large area to cover which I was covering with three independent wireless routers. The mesh routers were easy to install. The online assistance is well done. The routers work quite well and I don't need to keep resetting which router to use when I move around because they all operate on the ID and password. A bit expensive but worth it for me.

I purchased the Velop 3 module WiFi system to replace an Orbi system that I was having problems stsying connected to my router. Setup was extremely easy and after 3 weeks it is still performing great. I am using this in a 2 story home with 3500 as feet to cover. The main unit is upstairs and the 2 nodes are downstairs and coverage is great. I am only giving 4 stars as the price is quite high and the nodes sometimes (rare) give week connection signals as indicated by a yellow light. Overall a great product and I would recommend as a whole home WiFi solution.

I had been going back and forth after my Linksys AC-1900 dual band router began to buffer when watching an Apple TV and IPad Pro. I also have an Arlo camera system hardwired in. I pay for 100/10Mb service and was getting these speeds but the range out on my covered deck and in the basement was not as strong without a range extender. I bought a Linksys EA8300 and it gives me great coverage with them USB 3.0 option for an external hard drive. If this is a must for you then the Velop is not a good solution. I set up the Velop and other than a few minor slowdowns the process was smooth and is now blanketing my home in 100-115Mb download speeds. The app is helpful if you want to prioritize devices and set up a guest network. The price is high and I was able to score it for cyber Monday $100 off with Best Buy financing so this made my decision easier. Overall, I am happy with the performance and functionality of the system.

A true review of the Linksys Mesh

So, it took me almost a year to review this mesh but I have to tell that you won’t be disappointed on your purchase & you’re experience - if you will need, to ever contact their 24/7 customer service support. Installation is very easy and connecting the nodes are quick. I have a gig, through Century Link and this system has blessed us tremendously. All was good until two days ago - on 11/15/2020, my Linksys Mesh took a crap. All the nodes went red, dropped all of my items off the wireless and I was worried about not getting it to work for my kids laptops the next day for school at home. I tried to troubleshoot the system myself about a dozen times, I even factory set them twice just to make sure I did it correctly but they weren’t working. I wasn’t going to tell my wife that we needed to spend another 400 bucks plus tax on another system. So, I took a chance and called their 24/7 support number and spent twenty minutes waiting. The young woman helping me out was very professional and knew what she was doing. She placed me on hold maybe three times to ask her engineer on things we got stuck on but after 3 hours and 24 minutes - we got them back and running. She didn’t hang up on me, didn’t make excuses, she was on it. I’m happy she didn’t hang up on me or write me off. All that customer service help was free as long as you own your device. I am beyond grateful and happy!!

After online research and conversations with BestBuy staff I decided to purchase this. I was replacing my router and 3 WAP's. Simple setup that went perfectly the first time. And for the best part the speed of this system is amazing and at any location in my house.

Kudos the Best Buy rep who recommended that I go with a mesh network instead of a standard Wi-Fi range extender. He did a thorough job of explaining how a standard range extender would reduce the speed based on the number of pods that were used. This is not the case with a mesh network like Linksys. The overall internet speed is not affected. Here's the backstory so many people can relate to in 2020. Since March, my wife and I have been working from home and our kids have been distance learning for the same amount of time. The signal of our internet provider was not very good as far as reach went. Two of the bedrooms in our modest single floor home had trouble securing a consistent signal. When we decided to upgrade our internet speed (from 50 to 500 mbps) we knew that extending the range of the signal was a necessity heading into a new school year where 4 people were working and going to school from home. The Linksys Velop system has exceeded our expectations. The signal is good from anywhere in our house, including our garage which is detached from our home next to our backyard. My son is now able to base his work station from the bedroom that previously had connection issues while the smart TV in the other bedroom, which used to have slow streaming speeds, now functions effectively. I cannot recommend this item more highly.

The setup was straightforward and even as an advanced network person I actually appreciated the simplicity using the Android app to set the nodes up. I set up three nodes around my house and garage and now have dense coverage at high speeds (>100mbps) in all locations - something I was unable to achieve with an array of extenders. So the mesh network is running strong with 2 and 5 ghz networks supporting all of our devices. A nice bonus on these is the built in LAN port so if needed I can wire connect a device e.g. DirecTV box. It's about time strong signals are made available everywhere on a property.
