Great WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Velop has worked out great for me since I replaced my old traditional router. Having a node in the family room and one in the garage gives me fantastic coverage everywhere in my house and even in the front and back yard. Easy set up, no issues at all

Over all, love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This definitely solved my Wi-Fi coverage problems in my 3600 square-foot, tri level home. Super easy to set up. I had all 3 nodes installed and updated in 10-15 minutes. After 2 days I lost my internet connection. Rebooting the main node did nothing. One of the remote nodes was locking up the whole thing! Once that was rebooted, boom, back on-line. Internet has flopped a couple times since but only a few seconds at a time and came back on its own. WiFi speeds are good. I’ve had this in for a week now and am happy so far.

Incredibly easy and powerful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in search of a new router, and this was recommended by a salesperson at my local Best Buy. I bought the two-pack, just to be sure I had coverage - even though the salesperson said he thought the single would be strong enough. He was totally right! We have a 1960's long ranch house, and one node on the far side of the house manages to cover the full length as well as the basement. I am super impressed and will be taking the other node over to my mother's house to replace her old Zoom router. It is also remarkable easy to set up - provided you have a smart phone.

Eliminates WIFI Dead Zones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We installed a new home theater system last year and upgraded our conventional router at that time. While it worked OK, we still had problems with dead zones in some parts of the house and in the backyard. We also had buffering issues when watching Netflix or Amazon Prime content on the main TV. I looked into adding WIFI access points to the existing router. That would work well for stationary devices but mobile devices would need to be reconfigured for each specific access point as their owner moved from place to place in the house. A friend told about the new mesh network technology and I did some research online to learn more. I also spoke with the Geek Squad double agent who installed our home theater system. He agreed that the mesh network was the way to go and recommended the Linksys Velop product as being the best solution. At our nearby Best Buy store, I saw the product and asked more questions about it. It turned out that the store manager was quite knowledgeable on the subject, answered all of my questions, and even showed me how he was able to monitor performance and control his home mesh WIFI network directly from his smartphone. I purchased the product and had Geek Squad install it a few days later. The install and configuration went well and we connected all of the devices in the house. As shown in the photo above, the system has 3 "Nodes". We placed one in the study, one in the family room (where we have the home theater system), and one in the kitchen. The nodes connect with each other automatically. The result - dead zones are a thing of the past. We can easily connect mobile devices from anywhere in the house along with the backyard and even the garage. We can watch Netflix or Amazon Prime content on the home theater system with no buffering issues. This is true, even our kids are streaming videos their mobile devices. Using Comcast internet, we are averaging 120 Mbps download speed throughout the home. One unexpected benefit is that, with this system, you no longer need to configure both a 2.4 Ghz and a 5 Ghz band on the network. Velop detects the best connection for each device automatically. So, one less thing to worry about. Finally, the entire system is controlled through Linksys's excellent smartphone app. This makes it easy to manage the network and even to set parental controls directly from your phone. The Velop mesh network is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone experience buffering or dead zone problems with their existing WIFI network.

Nice system but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this two-piece mesh system to replace my aging Apple Time Capsule. I live in a one-bedroom apartment, so it was arguable whether I needed a mesh system of not, but the L-shaped layout and very solid masonry created a blind spot in my bedroom. I was a little disappointed to find that placing a second node in my bedroom didn't help a lot — but it did help. First, the second node could not detect the network to complete the configuration, but when I moved it 8 feet closer to the primary node, but with nothing more than air in those 8 feet and still only 30 feet (but three walls) between it and the primary node, it worked. After a few weeks though, I found the speeds were a lot slower than I would expect in my bedroom, even slower than the Time Capsule, it seemed. Eventually I moved the second node to my kitchen, where it has a clear line of site with the primary node but is also separated by windows to my bedroom. This took care of the blind spot, but the speeds still don't seem to be what I'd expect. It seems that for certain types of construction, even a mesh system will have trouble. Set up was fairly easy, and the Linksys app is nice to use. It was a little annoying that I had to create an account and register in order to manage my own home network, but I suppose that helps with security or something. For a while some of my devices were randomly disconnecting from the network. I have four Sonos speakers, two computers, an iPad, an iPhone, a Dyson air purifier, and a Hue lighting system on my network. At times some of the speakers, the tablet, and one of the laptops have dropped off the network. I have no idea why, but I was eventually able to connect them with the Linksys app. This was never a problem with the Time Capsule except with the air purifier. The router lacks a USB jack, so I'm going to have to get a wifi printer eventually. Thankfully those are cheaper than the router.

Great solution for dead spots
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading reviews for this and every other whole home wifi system Linksys was the clear winner. We were having a problem with no or low signal strength in the two back bedrooms. We purchased Linksys system after researching every other option hoping to magically solve our problem for less money. The Linksys set up perfectly without glitches or stalling. After I downloaded the app it set itself up almost without my assistance or interference. It told me it was done and i ran the speed test and each room tv, iPad and phone all had a fast consistent connection. Yay for me. I’ve owned this system for about a month and could not be happier

Excellent wireless coverage that’s easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second Velop router system I’ve installed. The first was lost in a fire. They are easy to set up with clear instructions and good feedback. And best of all, they work as advertised! Great even coverage across a wide house.

Sooooo easy to setup!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very skeptical of the claim that this product would be easy to setup and I was prepared to sit down with the manual for several hours. Wow, was I surprised. There is no manual. You download the app and follow the easiest instructions I've ever seen. It walks you right through it quickly and simply. In about 20 minutes I had all three nodes up and working with fantastic coverage. Over 15 devices connected without a hitch.

Easy setup, excellent coverage, disconnects someti
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Certainly the easiest network component I ever set up. I loaded the app onto a phone, followed the step-by-step directions exactly as written, and everything came up as expected. Plenty of capacity and speed for the few devices I have attached to it. There have been times when I expected a previously-connected device to be connected and it was not. Reconnecting was fast and simple. Having to do it is a minor frustration, especially because no reason for the disconnect was provided.

Velop Rocks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I recently moved to a new home that was built in the 80s I was very concerned about the signal strength and speed I would be able to get. I used the standard modem from Verizon which worked fine but did not blanket my home with Wifi. I did many hours or research on mesh systems and decided to try out the Linksys Velop and I am so glad I did. Not only is my signal boosted and I am getting amazing speeds but the app lets you control and view so many options. If you want a great mesh WifI network hit add to cart and be satisfied.

Works far better than advertised!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works way better than advertised. We're using this mesh Wi-Fi system in a wide-open nearly 10,000 SF shop, and it works flawlessly. We have outstanding signal strength and speed throughout the shop, for use with smartphones and laptops. We bought a Linksys router at the same time, and the two took no more than 20 minutes to install with the Linksys app. Highly recommended!

Fantastic range and speed!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a large (3500+ sq ft) and long home. The setup was WAY easy. The results are beyond what I had expected. I am thrilled with this wireless system. I am not sure anything else would do better. I get full bars at the farthest point at the other end of house which is the garage. I still get two bars another 100 ft from the end of the garage. I thought I would have to run wire to extend my wireless but not with this setup. If I need more, all I have to do is add another device. At this point, there is no need. The three work wonderful!!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup the router about a week ago and so far it’s been great. Took about 5 minutes to set up with the app and the coverage is superb. So far no signal loss and a vast improvement from the last router. Would definitely recommend

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really easy setup. The app is very intuitive and gives you a lot of control like device prioritization and guest access. I have 10+ devices connected at peak times and this Velop system has no problem having them all connected.

Mesh Network, Ease of use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Linksys Velop is amazing, easy to setup and easy to manage. Seamless transfer between nodes with no drop in connection, great signal strength and a fast connection, for a 100mbps/10mbps connection I was pulling 124mbps down average!

Works well, although periodically drops out
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit works well across a fairly large expanse, and covers 3 floors of a house. You have to find the right spots for the hand off and even then there are periodical drops of the handshake. It functions significantly better than wifi extenders and is easy to set up and implement. The price is a bit high for what you get, but once you settle in with the system, it earns its keep due to the seamless signal.

Better Coverage but Speed Problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of this and it works well coverage wise. Awesome design, my only complaint is I wish it had more than 1 Ethernet output so I could hard wire both my TV and my PC. We have 2 nodes in a single level rectangular area about 50 X 60 feet including both inside and outside rooms. For whatever reason, however, this new network is sputters and usually slower than our old router, a Linksys model N900. I have not changed the default settings or done any troubleshooting yet, mainly because the point of this product is that you don’t have to do any of those things.

Great system, easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My home is over 5,000 sq.ft., and there used to be dead zones with my previous setup before I purchased the Velop. I have the 3-pack, one for each floor. It may have been the easiest and fastest item of tech I've ever set up of any kind. More importantly, no more dead zones. Just lightning speed and multiple devices at any time. I've had as many as 3 computers, 2 XBoxes, 7 smartphones, and 2 printers all connected at the same time. There's a "guest user" option that helps keep certain devices off the grid too.
