I have been very pleased with this product, particularly once I figured out how to use it in bridge mode. Bridge mode enabled me to use MoCA adapters (to use the coax cable instead of running new Cat5 cables to a hard to reach corner of the property) and have the third node connected via ethernet greatly improving the coverage and speed. I'm told MoCA either works great or not at all, and wont work with satellite TV, but for me it works great. A second ethernet cable comes out of the node and straight into the Apple TV speeding that up as well. For our usage we have 1 node connected to the cable modem/router, 1 node in mesh and the third via MoCA and ethernet cable. It seems you need to set the Velop up as a wireless mesh before you are given the bridge option, but after that it was easy.

Excellent, I have a Ac2200 router and needed something to help with poor signal. I previously had a dual band node but it was not doing anything and didn't want to spend what the tri band nodes cost. When I saw these on close out sale I jumped on it. The connecting process was fast and simple. My ring doorbell RSSI went from 63,54 to 30 or 40. My Google speaker in the bathroom responses all the time now, before I had to repeat myself over and over again. Very happy with these. Still using the dual nodes helpers for strong Wi-Fi, no dead spots anymore!

Recently there has been quite a few mesh networks going around and as many of them are pricey and provide different setups I have to say the Velop is the easiest of them all for now. Although they are not the cheapest but they are priced fairly. The last mesh networks had was Google Wifi which had a great GUI and speed nearby the devices wasn’t seamless and had to continually turn Wifi off and on to get my phone to work. I’ve owned the Velop for a few weeks now and speed is always strong, reliable, devices are seamless between nodes and app clean, provides the Information etc. the only reason I took off a star is the app or firmware needs some tweaking some information on devices show up wrong or says its connected to another node further away. I like the information to be more accurate but at the same time this didn’t cause any issues with my devices or speed. The app is just showing incorrect information.

I read up on all of the Mesh systems prior to choosing the Velop, and I'm sure glad that I did so! I started out with the 3 system which completely covers my 2,830 SQ ft house. It was very easy setup and worked flawlessly. At the back of my lot I have a gazebo and garage to watch tv, etc in which the signal wasn't that strong. The distance is about 80 ft from my nearest Velop Node. I went out and purchased another Velop Node and have it back there, and it has no problem supplying a strong signal. The only issue I experienced was controlling my Apple TV from my iPhone, in which the Apple TV was using Ethernet while my iPhone was on the WiFi address, which is using different IP Addresses. I investigated this with Linkys and changed all of my Velop Nodes to Bridge Mode. Now I have no issues at all! My existing network consisted of 2 routers to cover all of this area, but the downside was having to manually change networks at different areas of the house. With Velop, everything uses the same SSID.

Outstanding line of sight wireless Mesh system. The reason I say line of sight is because if the main hub is blocked by anything, i.e., a bookshelf or anything in front of it, the satellite will not pick up & connect. Your hub & satellites have to be free of any obstructions. With that being said, this system will go through walls well. The range is up to 5600 sq. ft. if I'm not mistaken. They are very easy to setup. You can have them setup & paired in 30 mins. Also, they are very attractive. So, it will not take away from your décor. The Linksys Velop app is one of the best I have seen. I purchased this set for my daughter & I am able to control & make changes to her system from my house which is 30 miles away. This is a will buy again item.

Took a few weeks and adjustments to find the best spots for the nodes. I would think it would work for a 3000sq ft house without problem, but direct line of sight is very important

Pro's: 1. Seamless coverage for a 3500 sq ft house 2. Easy to setup via the app 3. Easy to manage the network via the app 4. Device prioritization is a breeze to setup/manage 5. Dedicated backhaul between each node 6. From my research it looks like Linksys does a great job at managing the firmware and app and ping them up to date Cons: Nothing that jumps out, but it looks like Linksys monitors forums for feedback on the product. If they can address my comment I will add the last star to make it a 5 star review Need to have a Linksys account for setup, its an unnecessary point of failure for long term security, this feature makes it seem like Linksys is hoping to monetize web usage trends by customers not a good look. In fact if Netgear hadn't fallen flat on their faces with their management of their firmware/software I would never even have looked at the Velop

This was very easy to set up and our WiFi speed instantly went up to over 100 mbps. Our retail space is very long and narrow and this mesh system allowed us to get a good signal in areas that were far from the router.

I've been using Velop for a few weeks, and overall I am very pleased. I work from home, so bandwidth and speed are critical. Communication between nodes was problematic during setup, so I ultimately hardwired each node to ethernet (one on each floor). With three nodes hardwired coverage is very good and network speed has improved significantly vs my old router/repeater configuration. The initial setup was not as easy as promised and required a lengthy call with Linksys support and multiple workarounds (trying different nodes as the parent and upgrades to the firmware prior to setting up each node). This and the spotty communication between nodes are the primary reason for a 4-star rather than 5-star review. I do like the router app and would also prefer a more robust web UI than is provided. Ultimately, I'm glad I made the investment and would recommend this product.

SO I was sad to discover that the Orbi system I had purchased just did not perform. After 2 brand new 3 Orbi sets, I just couldn't tolerate the poor performance and constant dropouts and connection issues of the wifi. I have always liked Netgear but they dropped the ball big time. So I did some more research and figured I would try the Velop. I needed to have a system where the satellites had at least 1 Ethernet jack and the Velop does. I also wanted tri-band. So I brought them home and in 15 mins had everything up and running and have been flawless ever since. Here are some negatives in my opinion. 1 - Must use the app on your mobile device for config and admin of the system, that said it does work and is pretty intuitive haven't found anything missing. 2 - the range is not as great as Orbi, but I can live with it, will need to just get another Velop to add to my system for expansion. That's about it, overall super happy.

I have only had this item for a couple of weeks but since I have had it my online experience has been allot smoother. My number of times being disconnected from the internet have decreased substantially. The overall setup of the device is easy along with adding additional devices. The only inconvenience I can see is that the setup requires smart phone, but that is minor best.

The good: There are 2 systems out there that work securely with HomeKit. This is one of them. The app used to set up the system is frankly adorable, and coaches you through the set up super well and most notably with touches of humor. That little app changed my outlook on setting up a router. Truly, from dreading doing this task to a sort of fun "let's do this!" mindset. The differences between, and setup of, modems, routers, ethernet, etc. was always intimidating. That app designer won an award for it, and rightfully so. The so-far iffy: We purchased the 3 pack because while our home is only 1,900 s.f., it is oddly shaped. After going through the well designed set up numerous times, it became apparent that the software was not yet working with HomeKit. This was at the very end of November, 2020. It was quite frustrating trying to link it over and over again, as both the Apple site, and the Linksys site, stated that they worked together. After a search on Reddit, it became apparent that there were still issues. I called, and the Linksys rep was helpful with information about the rolling out of the software. After about a week the software was integrated, I could link the two, and all was working with HomeKit. (This was after hours and hours of troubleshooting.) A couple of days ago one of the nodes will not connect, and nothing changed in our house, except we added one more HomePod at the other end of the house. We will be reconfiguring the location of the nodes this weekend, and will hopefully have some luck. Observations for anyone reading this: if your internet stops working, check the app. It will tell you which node stops connecting. Go through the coached steps. If it still does not connect, and you don't have time at the moment and just need your internet working, unplug that one node, and the rest of the internet should be working. At least this is what worked for us. I will update this review if moving the nodes helps our situation. I just can't figure out why all was great, then not. Last, HomeKit should be able to be secure with more choices of routers. I would only recommend this to a friend if I can determine the issues with the connection of the third node. If so, I'm super happy to have this system working to secure our HomeKit set up.

I purchased the Linksys Tri-band mesh wi-fi solution to replace a slow and tired wireless router and extender. After reading reviews for the different solutions I decided to purchase the Linksys mesh system based on features, ease of setup and performance. The mesh setup was straightforward and you only need to follow the instructions provided and used with the Linksys app. I had the network configured and running in all three home locations within 30 minutes. The network speed is great and I no longer have dropped wi-fi connections due to dead zones. There is one wi-fi SSID throughout the entire house with two floors and no dead zones. I was fortunate enough to pickup this kit during the early sales before Black Friday in November. Definitely a great product after used for over a month.

High recommend this product for any home. So easy to setup and install. Works everywhere.

We typically have 20 devices and 3 game consoles that need access at similar times. Our internet capacity is 1 Gb. It was relatively easy to set up. We did have to try several placements of the the units to get adequate speed on our 2nd floor and our addition on the back end of the house. We have a 2600 square foot house and could use a 4th unit since there are dead spots. The basement has a much lower speed, but still adequate for most uses. It does have issues for gaming, but it seems you need a direct line in for your game consoles if you want uninterrupted online game play. This was our 4th purchase of mesh system and the best so far. We tried cheaper ones and it didn't cut it.

Bought this to replace router supplied by Spectrum. Combined it with Arris Surfboard. Speeds increase by factor of 3-4 throughout the house and in yard outside. Easy to set up for a novice. Requires brief call to provider. Stable signal so far.
