Bought this Linksys Velop AC2200 because I was having connectivity issues with my ATT Uverse wifi throughout the house. It kept dropping my connection intermittently and had poor connection in certain rooms. Ordered the Velop system online during a sales and received the package in a few days. Setup was really the easiest thing I've ever had to do on a networking device. It's almost plug and play. Just follow download the Linksys app. Follow the step by step instructions and your good to go. One thing I recommend is to let it finish all its actions before jumping to the next step. Then setup units 2 and 3 in a suitable location. My wifi stays connected with no issues and bandwidth is great even outside the house.

This is an expensive solution, but in my opinion worth the investment. A good wireless AC router and a good range extender may be less but they don’t do as good a job. The Velop provides one network name throughout the house; as a result, you are never trying to join a weaker network. You can move around, which is the whole point of wifi. The Velop does its internal communications on a separate channel freeing up bandwidth for all the devices to connect. Other features include; the smart phone app for setup and management, the ability to setup a guest network, and the ability to set priority for the home office computer over the game system. The reviews in the trade journals of mesh wifi give good information on the performance of the available systems. For me, Linksys has been around for a long time, it is backed by Cisco, and it was easy to set up. I am very happy with the technology and the application.

We were using the GVTC provided router/modem and it was terrible. I work from home and I consistently would see 11mbps download speed at my computer running wirelessly. We have a 250mbps plan and they kept telling me to upgrade. I refused because I wasn’t getting anything close to what I paid for. I have 23 devices hooked up and my IT buddies said the supplied modem couldn’t handle it. Long story short, it took me about 15 minutes to setup, the app is great, and it only took about another 30 mins to reset all the WiFi passwords in the house. You can setup parental control, guest network, and the Coverage in our single story 2000 sq ft house is exceptional. I regularly see 180mbps download speeds at the same computer without changing a thing. Go get it. You won’t regret it.

I have had many routers and this system is great. Have had the original Velop 3 pack for years then purchased this for my in-laws. Powerful reliable signal, smoother transitions between routers. Fast. Great support easy installation

The initial setup was the easiest I have ever done. And I’ve done a few. The app led me through the process without any trouble. The signal strength is excellent and no dead spots. When we switched ISPs, we could not get any decent speed from the nodes. I called the service department and the technician was relentless. He finally remoted in to fix the issue.

I recently purchased the Velop to replace an older Netgear wifi router and range extender. After buying I continued to research and decided based on the reviews of this and other devices to jump in as it is one of the highest reviewed mesh systems. I was totally surprised, my setup with all three nodes was completed in about 15 minutes. It was super simple. The app worked great. The speed is excellent, range is excellent and my 32 devices connected seemlessly. So far my speed tests around the house (all 3200 sq ft) are solid and consistent. We have Google fiber and on average I am getting between 700 and 850 mbps. This is way better than anything I experienced with my previous system. So far I am very happy with this purchase. I would recommend it to anyone.

For a while I used my Linksys router with two range extenders to reach the far ends of my house. And even with that I needed to run a dedicated 50’ RJ45 cable from my sons room on the second floor to my router on the first floor to give him good throughout for his shooters and streaming. However, I have a friend a range extender forctheir house and finally took the plunge and spent the money on this Linksys Velop. It is definitely worth it and I’m more then happy with my purchase. I was able to get eliminate the RJ45 Ethernet cable running between the first and second floor. The most surprising thing is no matter what room I’m in, the www.speakeasy.net download and upload show 96/96 over the wireless connection and I’m paying for 100/100. That is perfect and I couldn’t be happier.

We were having issues with areas of our home not getting wifi signal and decided to try these. We have been pleased with their range and no longer have issues with connecting to internet no matter where we are inside or even in our yard. Set up was difficult and required my calling support to get complete as the app that was supposed to prompt easy to follow steps could not correctly configure the devices. Save yourself a lot of time by calling and having their support walk you through their backdoor process if you struggle. It took over an hour with their support, but they were very knowledgeable and walked me through set up.

I purchased a month ago and have been very happy with its performance. For the family, it has eliminated slow internet the farther away from the modem and router you go. Prior to this purchase, I used extenders to help internet access and speed but was not happy with performance. I was not aware there was anything better on the market. Now my kids can play video games in their bedrooms, both upstairs and downstairs at the same time with no complaints at all. I'm not a tech wizard, so I did need help with setup but it was a 10 min phone call with Linksys and I was up and running. For me, the price was steep but if internet speed is important (having 4 kids on the internet gaming) I would suggest you give a mesh system a try.

then you have to get this!! My modem and router were 3yrs old and at the end I would drop connection 3 times a day and the speed was so slow. With that I would hear the the grumbles and complaining spewing out from my 12 yr old boy. I had enough... I originally walked into BB looking to get the same setup <but latest version...modem/router> But huge thanks to the BB associate who showed me this product and explained the overall benefits. It was more money than I planned on spending AND oh am I SO happy I did. My wireless speed tripled and no 'dead zones' anywhere in the house (4000sq ft) Easy to install...took me about an hour. Comes with a free app that controls all internet over every device. i.e. son won't get off his phone to do homework? *bloop* shut down internet to just his phone Amazing product...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I initially thought it was really pricey for just a router setup, but the range, speed, and ease of use are all much superior. I am able to run about 8 devices all at once at at extremely high speeds. Great for large families and having house guests.

For years I have battled weak WiFi signals in my home, always trying different traditional routers and extenders to strengthen the signal and a greater distances. Finally I tried the Linksys Velop mesh system and I am happy with the results. I ended up buying three nodes I have a strong signal wherever I am withing my home. All three nodes have the same WiFi name and so no more router with one connection name and extenders with something different. The setup is extremely easy with the phone app. Easiest set up that I've ever experienced. There have been a rare occasion when one of the nodes looses connection with the main node, but it is usually brief and then reconnects automatically. Linksys tech support is very thorough at walking you through any problems or issues that you may experience. All-in-all, after three weeks, I am very pleased.

I purchased this and have owned it for about a month now. The reception is much better than my old airport extreme and the speed is better overall. It was very easy to set up and it took me about 20 minutes. The app that runs with it is pretty good and VERY easy to use. Listing what devices are using the connection. That being said, the only issue I've had so far is that the Internet connection has dropped three times. It's not the cable router either, that's been constantly connected. It reconnects in about 5-10 minutes, but it was annoying. Not sure if it's updating itself and taking itself offline, but if it is, it didn't tell me or give me an option to do it at night.

We had super spotty wifi and very slow speeds (even though I'm supposed to have 450mbps) ever since moving to a new area. After numerous outages I presumed were due to our provider (some where) I found out my Apple Airport was seriously on it's last legs. So I got the wifi router from my provider for a month... still super slow with all my kids at home using EVERYTHING. After some research I decided to go with a mesh router system and felt secure choosing Linksys as they are a well-known and reliable brand. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! So easy to set up, the app is GREAT, you can see all of your devices, prioritize them, run speed tests! We couldn't be happier and oh what a relief!

I purchased this system after the google system failed and I returned it due to ZERO tech support. This system in general works well. Occasionally one of the nodes needs to be reset. I have had to restart the system once. Occasionally ROKU TCL tv's need to be restarted after the Linksys does a firmware update I really like the feature where you can shut off individual devices (like one child's phone and ipad) but leave the others on. The system uses a phone app to install and manage. It is ok. I purchased on sale for $199 so it is a good value at that price. Not sure if good value at $399.
