Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

I’ve purchased over a dozen Velop systems for clients (so over 36 individual units). They’ve worked great in every installation I’ve done. The only downside was pricing. As Linksys has lowered their pricing to better compete with other mesh network brands, it’s hard not to recommend the Velop line.

My old router was the best three years ago. I expanded my house and new regulations called for thicker walls supports. I also added a steal beam that killed my signal. This mess system expands my coverage to my entire house. Great system it has some down fall as everything but it's a true mesh and the lag connection from one unit to another is not bad.

The mesh system works great. I haven't had any issues with walking between the nodes. Each node has two ports so you can hardwire it to a switch and still connect another device. Once in a while, the network will go down which is annoying but it is not too often. Definitely made we wish to get an eero instead

Let me first admit that I know nothing about electronics so when I purchased something I expect it to be easy to use/install. This equipment is far from easy for us tech tards. First, there are absolutely no setup instructions in the box, Nothing,Nada,000. That got me going right from the start. You had to download an app to install. So I did. Thought, maybe this will not be so bad. But no, now they want you to setup an account with private information such as email address and who knows what else. At this point I tried to do it myself without instructions. Got the Mother (they call it parent, had to be politically correct) node working. Even watched Netflix for a couple of hours before I decided to try the other nodes (children). Could not get it to work. Read some reviews and was ready to return. Decided to contact company and see what happens. Surprising it was easy to find a contact number and actually get a LIVE person on the phone with me. I saw some reviews that mentioned a long wait time so I was ready for that but it only took about 5 minutes for a person to answer. She had a strong accent and was difficult to understand but somehow we got through the entire installation process. I refused to give her my name and my email. They are obviously told to get as much personal information as possible but if not they can still help you. It took a while but we got the "parent" and "children" installed. Got the password changed to something reasonable and not the crazy password on each of the units. All this was done without downloading the app or giving them personal information. You have to however have a computer hookup for the installation process to work. So far, everything is working fine. It has only been a day. Upload speeds on my computer are great. This was the problem and why I was looking for a device to help. We have a very large ranch home and it is a long way across the house and you could forget the basement. Now everything works, even the basement. We will see what happens as I do have a Zoom meeting on Friday and hoping to have that in my basement. Even though everything worked out in the end, I will not be buying or recommending any Linksys product. My main reason at this point is the lack of installation instructions. I just hope that other companies read this and not go the way of Linksys. They make all sort of claims about how secure your information is, but we have all heard this before and we see all the security breaches in the news. I have at least 10 more days before I have to decide if I want to return the product. For now, I am happy with it and pray it stays that way. I am done with my rant.

This may be a great system...or meh....with AT&T in the equation who knows. Coverage throughout the house seems good. I'm not savvy enough to detect the difference between using Velop or just simple network extenders. Therefore, I would recommend trying this based on Geek Squad testing while onsite.

Works great has improved our network a lot. Our area doesn’t have reliable internet service and it was hard using all of our devices. Adding the Linksys allows us to have more user and we stream multiple devices unlike before. Highly recommend it if you need to improve your network quality.

These have made the Wi-Fi in our home consistent. Setup was not easy, but after trying to call, found the chat worked better. Used the standard IP address to complete setup on the first NODE, then the second and third Nodes worked as expected. Since setup they have worked great.

I bought the two tower set and easily configured the two access points. I’m not a novice when it comes to computers or networking so it may be a challenge for some. Nonetheless, my network was dropping out weekly before I bought and configured the Velop system. I wanted a good name and Linksys has always been solid.
