Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

I've never had a mesh network before so I didn't know what to expect when setting it up. It was super easy to install, though I've only had it a week it has performed great. Each device had two ethernet ports so you could plug devices into them if need be, you have to use one of the ports to plug into the modem. So far I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I never write reviews but had to for this purchase. I finally cut the cord with Xfinities all in one modem/router and bought this router with an Arris SB6190 modem and got blown away with the constant signal strength and speed throughout my 2 story 2300 sqft house which includes a basement. This router seamlessly keeps you connected to the best signal in the house with no interruptions. A must buy for everyone who wants or needs high quality wireless internet.

This system provides good coverage and is easy to setup. One of the key features for me was that you can connect them all together with a wired Ethernet connection. This will eliminate the additional latency other systems will introduce when the signal has to be passed between different nodes over WiFi signal. If connected with Ethernet, it will communicate directly with the main/host node much faster/lower latency

This completely changed our Wi-Fi network at home. Using a strong router with gigabyte Internet still only got us 30 MB per second at best. Having a router extension helped for hard to reach areas but got extremely slow speeds. Using this mesh network Increased speech through the house by 3 to 6 times. There’s no dropping of the signal throughout the house, and the range is quite extended as well.

Very Good Mesh System But Local Setup Is Difficult

This product is designed to be setup using a tablet of smart phone and you must set up an account with Linksys. However, for security reasons I wanted to perform a strictly local setup using the web interface hidden in the units. I was able to do it, but only with assistance from Linksys Support. I have it configured the way I want and it works very well.

So far, after owning this product for roughly 4 weeks, it has really expanded my home network throughout my 2,400 sq/ft home. Whether I’m outside, or in a random part of the property, my signal is full and my connection uninterrupted. I’ve done multiple speed tests on multiple platforms with various operating systems and the results varied very little in between and ultimately gave me the consistency I needed to feel confident in my new network that these Velop’s are providing. The only reason I’m giving this a 4 star is because the Velop units don’t have any USB option for network storage, thus forcing me to continue to use my AirPort Extreme.

Geek squad had installed a system similar to this (2 Velops) for another house of ours. When we moved I purchased this system as the cost per unit was considerably less than buying them individually. 2800 sq ft house with outbuilding. System covers house evenly and reaches to our outbuilding which is 100 feet or so from house. Totally easy to set up. Do not have to be a computer pro to do so!

I've set up over 20 Linksys Velop mesh networks for clients since they first were released. The performance has always been excellent (especially when joined to a Linksys MR8300, MR9000, or AX6000 as main router/node). While they were always simple to set up, the ease of use and simplicity of the setup has improved over time. The price has also improved. I highly recommend the Velop system

Replaced my Apple AirPort Extreme last weekend. Setup was simple using the app on my iPhone. Once configured, I also connected each of the units to my wired network to maximize performance. Each unit also has other devices (Xboxes, Sonos bridge, etc.) connected to them it via small switches. My setup experience was great and coverage and performance are excellent. We use the network for everything - gaming, video streaming, music, work, and smart home functions.

I've placed this system into two offices (behind a Sonicwall and bridged) and two 4500+ sq foot homes. Add my house and we have 5 setups who have been very happy. No kids complaining anymore about not getting on to Roblox. Extremely easy to setup and troubleshoot if something is not working. My gigabit connection was testing at 400 Mbps down and 400 Mbps up via wireless (Verizon provided router tested at 60 up and 35 down). Worth the cost so far.

I pay for 100mb from spectrum. I run a speed test and get at least 110mb everytime on wired and wireless connection with my Velop. I have been using it for about a month now with no drops in connection.

I've used the Velop system since April 2018. it is the best router system I have used to date. I have 100 mbps from Spectrum. Nothing is lost from upstairs to downstairs even 50 feet outside.

Great Linksys Tech Support; Great Product; Easy Set Up - Linksys helped me set this up with a Frontier/Ziply provided wifi/router and it is FAST! Also easy to do. Customer service was there to help before the purchase with responsive advice (to me as a novice) and it was straightforward. App is good too. I SHOULD have bought 3 nodes, not 2... so nice to have speed, coverage and stability.

After trying a couple of different WiFi extenders, I broke down and bought the Velop WiFi system for my house. WiFi connectivity is much more reliable. Now we can stream Netflix and Amazon Prime without any buffering and our overall internet speed is way up. We’re getting 697mbps download speeds now through the WiFi on the other side of the house from the router. I do recommend putting the nodes as high as you on a shelf. It seems to help your range and speed.

Not the most computer savvy person in the world and switched my internet service to a provider that required my own Wi-Fi system. This was a really easy setup and the phone app is easy and very useful, I have had absolutely no issues with connection in a 3600 sq.ft. house w/ 5 TV's imac and laptops and ipads ! Only reason not 5 stars is because I've only had a month so long term and durability still in question.

I was having problems with coverage and speed with my old Linksys AC1750 router after moving into a bigger home. With the Velop 2-pack I get excellent coverage for all of my family's devices at the full speed of my ISP. The phone app made setting up both routers simple and successful on the first attempt. As someone "advanced" in years, I appreciated that feature the most. Would HIGHLY recommend this router to anyone. Worth the price.

Works way better than my previous wireless system with range extenders. I have a pretty decent ranch house and I can be outside, other side of the house and have perfect wireless connection. My advice when setting up, make sure you follow instructions, it will go way easier. Love the fact I can control how long my kids are on their ipads, etc that are not on my plan.
